Merci! Hope you and yours are doing well. Glad to see you. I learn something new all the time from you....appreciate the instructions when you have time to teach those of us out here who live in the misty fog of learning new things.

I don't know how long ago I found this channel but I love it. This is a great tool for me to teach my daughter art because it explains how this program functions so well. I also love your accent, it's really nice to listen while we learn :D
She has a drawing pad; XP-Pen Artists 15.6 pro, it's the same one I've had for nearly ten years. I was going to upgrade to a better one and give her mine, but it's so damn good I kept mine too lol. It has one single cable, simple functions (8-buttons & scroll wheel), it's 1920x1080 60Hz, the colors are really amazing and very accurate for a simple screen (88%NTSC, 120%sRGB), the screen is just about paper size and matte finished, brightness on 50% is really good, the pen is great; doesn't use batteries, comes with 9 nibs, 60 degree tilt and 8192 pressure...this is a beginner/mid tier product, I mean come on!! You can't really beat it for $250. I kind of want to buy an extra one just to keep it for when they discontinue them lol.

Thank you for your nice tutorial! May I ask? What brush did you use for your shadows and highlights? Many thanks!

Hello. Thank you for watching. I hope this helped you. The brush I used is the "BASIC-5 Size: from the "DIGITAL" tag. Have a wonderful day and happy creating.

Nice. Is there any reason you don't use fill tool to speed up the coloring even more, and then retouch the areas that weren't filled? I think that for the beak or the eyes it would be better than just paint with brush.

Hello. Thank you for your comment. I have used the paint bucket in other videos, but for this one, I chose a different technique. I like to show people various ways to paint. Some viewers mentioned that they enjoy using the brush because it gives them a coloring book feel, which they find relaxing. So, yes, you're right-the paint bucket does make things faster. Have a great weekend, and thank you again for your comment.

Do I need drawing tablet or can I just download a drawing and coloring it directly from PC in Krita?
    Thank you for great video.

Hello. You can color directly on a PC. Rather than using a stylus, you are using your mouse. It is harder, but it can done. Use any selection tools such as the Contiguous Selection Tool (A.K.A. the Magic Wand), or the Free Hand Selection Tool (A.K.A. the Lasso) etc... to select the areas you want to color and then, fill the areas with your colors. Finally, you can directly color areas using the paint bucket (Shift +G). I hope this helps. Have a wonderful weekend.

I use fill color tool with tag to the line layer this method is easier and more effective and you can use it to fill the inside spaces

Yes. That is a great tip. There are so many different ways to color. You can also use the colorize mask, for example. Many... many different ways to color!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I appreciate you! 😊
