I bought this today and sold my 114060 No-Date to another buyer at the AD for a profit. I absolutely love everything about this 126660!!! In person, you can barley notice the print on the rehuat. The videos online are super bright and zoomed in ..... not realistic of seeing it in real life. I'll most likely purchase the white Rubber B strap for the summer months on the boat so I don't scratch my interior and gelcoat. LOL ....... FYI your videos have guided me to my last 3 purchases Great work!!
@@snowywinters2536 I started having a deep desire for the divers/sports line from 1990. I believed that one day it will happen. I believed for years and something worked, then I was able to purchase it BRAND NEW. Glory to GOD.
The only reason I still give my other watches wrist time ia that I dont want to scratch my 126660. Absolutely stunning and actually confortable to wear even on my 6.75 inches wrist
Great watch. I have it for one year now and it feels great. I have a flat 8.2" wrist so this size is great for me. The quality of this watch is superb and suprisingly comfortable to wear. I also like the Sea dweller 43 but I will keep this big boy.
This is a stunning watch, absolutely perfect. The changes from the old model are subtle, but extensive and it looks much more balanced and refined. A future classic for sure
This is my first and only Rolex. The big dial attracted me. It looks like a dream. I use it rarely to keep it pristine. Just slightly heavy but otherwise its simply awesome.
This was my very 1st Rolex & I love every part of it. I love dive watches, but my only complaint is that I wish it came in 48mm atleast. I also love how it has Rolex graved in around the inside of the crown & the fact that it has a crown etched in the sapphire at the 6 O'Clock position.
Great first Rolex! 48mm would be quite the size, any reason behind wanting it that large? We also love the little details that Rolex puts in their watches! - WatchBox Team
Yes WatchBoxReviews, before I bought my 1st Rolex I was into Invicta Dive watches & I love how big they are. They just fit my body frame better & until I got my 44mm Rolex DSSD the smallest watch I owned was 48mm. I have a 58mm Invicta Sea Hunter & it's the biggest watch I own. I know Invicta gets a lot of flack but I seem to like them & I haven't had any problems out of them. When I bought my Rolex the jeweler cracked on me saying "now u know the difference from a watch & a timepiece ", referring to my Invicta collection. It didn't bother me, I just like what I like & to each it's own. I think my next Rolex will be the James Camron DSSD. I love the blue & black dial & if I would've seen that one 1st I would've purchased it before the one I have. Thanks for your video it was really helpful.
I think 48mm would be a bit brutal. Rolex are already getting a lot of stick over the 44mm size which for most people is borderline. Huge step up from Invicta though. I remember my mate bought 3 Invicta and one fell apart. One the date stuck and the last one just stopped working. Awful brand although I see some people love them.
I had a 48mm highly polished super avenger 2 Breitling and my goodness did that thing stick out.... planning on getting this deep sea this week. Something about that big chunk of dreamy 904L steel 😍😍
@@gymlaxbro, if u like the Roles Deep Sea Sea Dweller check out the James Camron Rolex Deep Sea-Sea Dweller Blue. The daily on that watch is beautiful. Had I known before I got my DSSD I would've gotten that one.
Had both old and new watches side by side at my local watchfinder, both 2018 watches, had the money for either and went for the old style, sits better on my wrist, looks more pleasing to my eye and at no point have I regretted my decision. Completely esthetic decision.
SHADOW 666, if you're not a real diver you don't have to worry about the Ring Locking System. Ring Lock System is to reduce the amount of stress placed on the case of the watch. As pressure on the watch increases at greater depths, the majority of it gets exerted on the front and back surfaces of the watch. Making sure your watch doesn't blow up under Sea pressure. That's also why they have a helium release valve on the Rolex Deep Sea Sea Dweller.
I just ordered the exact same watch, I am talking delivery of it 4-30-19. I hope I love it as much as my Explorer II Polar white. I know they are miles apart from each other. It seems like it's difficult to go wrong with a Rolex. Nice review brother.
Me too at the first of September. I love everything about this watch. I can't wear my other watches now. They feel too small. Congrats on your purchase!
Motor City Dre nice! But I'm not talking about the laser engraved crown on the crystal that is present on all models. I'm talking about the crown printed between the word Swiss and the word made on the dial that is not present on the previous Sea Dweller model.
Tim, you say the prototype 126660 (I assume you were referring to that James Cameron you did an initial review on) was a little thicker than this one. So which is it? Is the 126660, James Cameron or the black, thcicker than the 116660, or no? Thanks, and enjoy your vids.
This watch is fantastic; perhaps the most technically and horologically exquisite diver ever made. But it’s big and bulky. If only Rolex made a diver, with helium escape valve, that is 2mm thinner, 1mm smaller in case diameter, lighter, and better proportioned for daily wear....
Great watch and it’s nicer than the earlier model. I still think it’s a little top heavy even though they have adjusted the bracelet and the lugs. Still awesome bit of engineering.
As much as I love my Rolex watches, the new Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph 45.5 at 19mm is no different than the DSSD at 44mm at 17.7mm in proportion except the omega has a much better dial to bezel ratio and is a high complicated chronograph watch. It’s a no brained if you want a serious dive watch, the Omega POC clearly is the alpha dog. Factor in the new Omega 9900 Chronograph movements and METAS certification, better lume and its game, set match, Omega as the ultimate luxury diver.
Deepsea has larger flat caseback for a comfy fit on wrist , found the sd43 wobbled a bit with the concave caseback on wrist, both are great , flat big wrist the deepsea is a daily for me, can’t go wrong with either, try before you buy👍
Like a tank wearing a tuxedo, super tough and classy! Love mine! Enjoy!

Bought mine on 16th August 2019. Not worn any other time piece since. I love it.
Would love to own one of these... of course.

The 4x4 “Mans-man” of Rolex watches. Limp wrists need not apply.

@@the1916companywatchreviews Thank you so much. It is very expensive but it's a real gem of a watch. Worth all my sacrifices to get it.
Start wearing that big watch and make some memories with it...you are not going to hurt it.
Looks much better than the previous version.

I agree whole heartedly, I was thinking the same thing with mine....looks bigger with narrower band ...love Deepsea
The old style will be sought after and more valuable in the future, in my opinion, due to having less writing on the face.
Finally a re-designed and re-proportioned bracelet!
Now YES the Deepsea is on my list. 👍🏻
Great watch and I feel very pleased when I watch this video and then look at my wrist and see this great watch singing to me.
I just bought one, but can someone explain the ring lock system to me? I dont know what it is.

How do you like your SD?
Going to pick mine 126660 BL from local AD tomorrow
My local AD got this watch in display , I held it in my hand and its a big boy !
Is it too big for everyday use?
@@MILE011 i saw it in Rolex AD, way too big for my 17.5 cm wrist 😂
Its not monoblock case if it has removable caseback...
Finally got it. Love it. Watched this video over fifty times, easy. Thank you.

Eric Diefel Thank you brother! I still wear my Omega X-33 Speedmaster for flying at work but I swap out when I get home. Absolutely love this one!
Nice! But another distinguishing feature from its predecessor is the presence of a crown logo between Swiss and made
That dial would be wasted on the illiterate.
I wish Rolex would do more branding and labeling on their watches.
thawasly, yes I love that etched in crown as well & that's just another way to distinguish it from fakes.
Motor City Dre nice! But I'm not talking about the laser engraved crown on the crystal that is present on all models. I'm talking about the crown printed between the word Swiss and the word made on the dial that is not present on the previous Sea Dweller model.
Yes. Those distinguish between the new and old movement. Like we have in new GMT rootbeer, if u compare if with say batman. Good pick up!
2017 my year I bought it I don't know the specifications I'm not a watch nerd all I know it tells time
Great watch! Always a big fan of chunky pieces. Reminds me of my Omega P.O. Both very beautiful watches for people with a bigger wrist size.

Way over engineered but way over the best Rolex has ever made, butch and badass bombproof, love my 136660😊
Great video again Tim. Nice dial and bezel but a bit fat from there. They should have Oris design the next model for them.
That is bad ass...kicks ass and it looks great!!

Too much writing on the dial. Way too thick. But...I was assigned an ID number by chance that happens to begin with 12666__. So I have to buy it.
underwater topics are my favs. Cool.
Is it normal watches of Switzerland took all labels of this watch
I think the sub does it all for me
It's a huge heavy watch, great Rolex but BIG.
Actually like my 116660 better but that’s me. Thanks for the video Tim.
Barry Schwartz curious what makes you like it better.
camera too close

1mm difference in bracelet? How is there possibly a visual change. Bollocks.
That's so much watch for $300.….😂

I will just keep wearing my 270 gram Ocean7 LM8 Chronometer for a fraction of Rollie $$.
Still an overweight, disproportionally thick and top heavy watch. SD43 same size from the top but much more wearable
8.25” wrist wears it plenty well 🤷🏻♂️
