I am with Monroe on this I see nothing wrong with the visuals or the song it’s self...Cardi did not become an artist to be your child’s inspiration in life, And people are becoming so Offended (clutches pearls) about this song/video as if men don’t have explicit videos/songs about women but that is let pass if there’s an issue you have with the industry and how they promote Certain types of black women keep it with the industry and not the artist... Cardi and Megan did their thing.PERIOD‼️
Exactly!
yes maam 👏🏾👏🏾
The music industry is being manipulated with is evil schemes and satan is working behind it. To get people addicted to sex and pornography and they are following the worlds pleasure and thats terrifying when the judgement day comes..
Carlisle Coquia it’s a song no need to get all religious on us
Men only like women dancing sexually when it's for THEM in their own boring ass music videos lmfao
Monroe and Khadija are SPEAKING on it. That’s why we stan
Yesss frfr!! Women should RUN THIS COUNTRY!!
period, they carried the chat
I got scared for a second my name is khadijah too😂
AGREED! Dizz sit down please.

Wow....ewww
Mohammad Abdul Azis // Obviously a dude named Mohammad would say that🙄🙄🙄
@@notthis6988 why does that have to do with his name,,tho ?
@@Elystice Its pretty obvious
@@notthis6988 what is obvious just tell me
I love how the girls are speaking the gospel truth here. Monroe/Khadija are spitting facts like they mastered the subject and that's because they're grown ass women's. Periodt.
y’all have to realize that when cardi b makes songs like “be careful” or “thru your phone “ those don’t sell. people want sex so she’s giving it. sex sells
Yeah and I think that's what Dizz was saying. Black women getting attention only when they are naked in the video and talking about sex. When a girl does something else, its not selling.
That’s understandable but it’s not an excuse. Just because something sells doesn’t mean it’s good. I’m talking generally btw bc I actually love this song.
Cause you know the reason there is evil and satan is working behind it to get people addicted to sex and pornography and they are following the worlds pleasure and thats terrifying when the judgement day comes..
Carlisle Coquia people are just horny, thats it
Ehhhh but when she did Bodak Yellow and I Like It...she got millions of views, and there wasn’t nearly as much sexual scenes as there were in WAP. Billie Eilish gets a ton of views and rarely, if ever, needs to depict her body in a sexual manner. It is definitely OPTIONAL to have sexual scenes, but it isn’t the ONLY way to attract listeners to your music.
I feel like the whole “there’s whores in the house” phrase, it’s more of a saying of they are called whores anytime they show their bodies or talk in a sexual manner, therefore hey we’re gonna say it for you, we’re gonna accept it and rise above your words calling us whores.
That’s what I got from it.
Exactly
Facts‼️‼️‼️
I get where Dizz and Khadija are coming from but it's so annoying that this dissection of black women in rap imagery is coming when it's black women themselves at the helm of it. If this was a man's video people might find it eyeroll worthy but not cause all this ruckus but suddenly it's theirs and it's a problem?? Black women having agency also means them not only talking about sex but being able to have that conversation as explicitly as a man would too.
It was over the top but they were also being sexual and having fun and sexualizing themselves so why is it that SO MANY people - not y'all specifically but generally - are this bothered? And why do I have a feeling the next time a male rapper does a video like this no one will bat an eye?
THIS! These reactions are always interesting for me because I come from the Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Khia, and others era. This is nothing new to me. Black women have been expressing their autonomy over their sexuality and there is no "right" way to do that. However, people are entitled to what they want to see and listen to. But if this is their artistry and what they wanted to put out...what is the issue?
It just feels hella judgmental considering that SO many male artists and rappers do the same thing WITHOUT the agency of black women. It isn't black women's job to censor themselves to avoid being a stereotype. That is society's issue.
Grisel Bennett She’s Dominican...does that count as black, or Afro-Latino??
I am straight up cackling. I can't with this song, it's so funny to me and peoples reactions to this song are so funny. But in all seriousness, in my opinion people are bothered by this because they are women rapping about it. People aren't as bothered by this kind of thing if it is men rapping about it. Men can sing and rap about sex and excessively sexual things and acts, but women can't. Beyonce got flamed for partition, even though it was more sensual then straight raunchy sexy. But I agree with Dizz on the portrail of black women and understand why he is bothered by it, but as a woman I like these kinds of runchy songs with straight up sex lyrics. Singing about what I like in bed and how I want to be treated in a sexual scenario.
It's not really because of that. This is not the first song about sex sang by a woman. Cardi, Nicki and all female rappers built their careers on sex, but people have never reacted like in this case. What's disturbing about this song is that it's overly sexual, it's not even sexy anymore it's straight up vulgar.
@@leehoo9783 And vulgarity has had its place in hiphop and the rap community for years. The difference is that people are used to hearing men talk about getting sucked, fucked, etc. Add that Cardi is a mother to the equation and it's the perfect recipe for hypocrisy to start creeping out of the crevices of our society.
@@diamcole Cardi, just like other male rappers, rapped about sex in all of her previous songs, which shows that the problem in this case is not really the content of the lyrics, but rather the video and the image that it portrays. Have you ever seen a bunch of half naked male rappers being all seductive in their videos? I don't think so and this is the difference. While people say that what these rappers did is empowering, I highly doubt that. It just objectifies women more than they already are and it pushes this highly sexist industry that uses women as plastic dolls that men all over the world can jerk off to.
lee hoo Men don’t dance half naked in rap songs because that would be perceived as gay. If you don’t believe me, tell me one black R&B male that people did not assume was gay at some point or another simply because he could sing and dance. For some reason, singing and dancing is seen as seen as gay in our community.
Also, men jerk off to anything. Men jerk off to animation. Men jerk off to other men having sex with other women they will never meet. So that’s irrelevant.
Both of these women and other female rappers have made songs talking about struggle and finding happiness and uplifting others but that’s not what sells.
@@leehoo9783 I've absolutely seen videos of male rappers who are seductive in their videos, they were just focusing that energy on the video vixens. I don't necessarily think it's empowering but I also don't think it's a set back. It just is what it is. People are doing these things and thinking these things, I see no reason to set off alarms when an artist centers a song around fucking.
Dizz REALLY needs to start listening and stop interrupting everyone
I agree with certain points and opinions with every one, like I 100% get dizz’s view on this release, especially when he says that the music video stole the spotlight from the song. But I agree with monroe the most. Its not cardi b’s or meg thee stallions job to be role models for children, if you don’t want your children to look up to them then don’t let them watch or listen to this type of music.
In today's world do you really think that parent's would be able to prevent their children from watching this or listen to this with all the medias present
kringles it’s not the job of these artists or this type of music regardless of whether a parent can or can’t control the kind of media their kids see
Always interesting to see that even gay men get uncomfortable with woman’s sexuality.
Dude this is way beyond that
they're still men afterall. I was surprised too but even though they're gay they still get to benefit from the patriarchy and double standard.
@@philipschrute8487 "still men" clamp down please xox
lol, I'm a lesbian and I have known COUNTLESS gay men who range from uncomfortable with women's sexuality to being downright sexist. there is a huge problem in the LGBTQ community with sexism. don't think that being gay instantly cures someone of privileged behavior. I've been ridiculed as a lesbian by gay men.
please note that in general I love my fellow gays and consider them family. I believe we all share a bond. but our community is not without its issues.
Alex nah I’m from the Caribbean. Women’s sexuality is more or less worshipped here. That’s probably why I don’t see the big deal with the song 🤷🏻♀️
I love all but you should’ve let the women speak more on their business. I know you wanna give your opinion but still it’s women who decide if it’s too much because men are never doing too much evan if they’re shirtless in a live TV.
Exactly
Gender equality.
Can't preach gender equality and then tell men to not speak on women subjects.
Tracey Tracey yall preach about gender equality when we talk about woman...
@@zaidals7167 Preach? Not sure why you chose that word, because I don't preach to anyone. You said, the women should have had a say on the topic, moreso than the men and yes, I said, gender equality, because women have chosen the position of an equal to men; therefore, it's perfectly acceptable for both genders to have an equal say.
I think men should not have and opinion on whether woman wanna reclaim words or if they wanna make “un tasteful” mv ,, woman should be allowed to be sexy and raunchy without man shaming them or taking away their talents. In real life black woman get shamed for being sexy or not classy enough and them being in the media takes away that bad stigma and empowers woman to feel good about their true selfs. Plus black woman can be classy and raunchy at the same time helloooo
While I don't have a problem with women choosing to do whatever they want, to say that I can't have my own opinion about something is just wrong. I can and will have an opinion on things. It only should be a problem if I were to try to force my opinion on other people.
Dat DarkOne unfortunately...
Dat DarkOne But if you’re not in that persons shoes, how can you have a valid opinion ? You don’t know what it’s like being a woman, so how can you possibly have an opinion on what women should tolerate or not tolerate ? Maybe you’re really just being entitled.
@@a.j.1819 You obviously didn't read what I typed earlier at all. Read it again please.
@@DatDarkOne I think Aly is questioning how one can make an informed and educated opinion when the person in question doesn't have any personal experience that would contribute to it being made. Seems pretty fair.
Stop with the role model stuff PLEASE! Men say sexual isht and it's not a prob. Women should be allowed to express themselves. This was so liberating and sexy. Haters!! This wasn't just about black women. Stop that!!
I think we shouldn’t take offense when Black women choose to exercise their autonomy and create something like this. Black women have always trailblazed this genre of rap. Missy Kim and Foxy were more raunchy than this lol. Trina was extremely out there. I think there’s a line between objectification and women choosing to express their sexuality this way. Especially Black women. Normani CHOSE to participate in this.
She chose to do it for money. Theres probably other things shed rather do for the same amount of money. But thats just me. Im not ben shapiro but I will never find this sort of stuff respectable. And Im not some old out of touch person Im in my early 20s. And no I dont respect guys doing this sort of thing either. Most of these male rappers would if there was a market for it.
@@BigmanDogs I think that is cool and there are gonna be people that find this tasteful and people like me who find people who live proud in there sexuality empowering. That'ts the beauty about the freedom of speech and expression. Sometimes you get things you don't like and sometimes you do.
@@Alex-oi7cd Yeah dude sometimes I be wondering why people are so desperate for my respect. Like, I'm just some average dude why you give a shit what I think? If I don't like something I don't like it. That's that. Kinda makes me feel like a lot of these people who claim to be super confident etc. are super insecure deep down. Because they care so much what others think about them. they can't handle that some people aren't into it. These girls make millions of dollars hoeing themselves out and they still give a shit that some people think they're hoes? Like, I know it might be because there is a trend of this sort of view and I know a lot of girls who do onlyfans etc. struggle to find a long term partner because of it. I know a girl who makes over 100k a month doing only fans and she can't find a dude who wants to be her boyfriend. But you gotta accept how you made your money. You might alienate a lot of people but you get money and some people are into it.
Bigman Dogs yes that tru I’m hyper sexual as fuck and I don’t mind someone else who is I think though you gotta have more than just sex for me. I think that’s where a lot of these only fan, Instagram famous for second people fail. Is that they base there lives on publicity and for people that are hyper sexual if you have only that to show and it fails it seems like there is nothing else left. I was a stripper and extremely sex sexual but I still got two degrees and something of substance
Jael Hansen Don't Forget About Khia Too
remember: gay men can also be sexist
That is definitely true and Dizz definitely was.
Yep this video really was a hard reminder
yes, usually they think they can't be labeled as sexist and that's when they say super sexist things, sometimes even worse than straight males
@do you like pizza? cuz I want a pizza dat ass no, they can't, feminism is a female movement, guys can be pro-feminism but not feminist
Agreed! I was like Dizz, hmmm, check your identity as a cis gay man.
They’re not becoming famous to be your children role model. When they started, they was nasty. Stop y’all children from listening to them if y’all have a problem.
Yeah...but they got your role model..you know what I mean ? Eventhough you are not a child..you can be manipulated. And you can see in their Instagram accs how people are stanning them. For what? For rapping about pussies and dicks ?? Clap on y'all 👏
Billy Clarke I’m not sure if you’re saying that they can be grownups role model. What are you saying?
@@samanthabean17 believe me it's possible. My role model is Mohammed Ali. But I'm 23 years old. So.. a grown woman..And there are people out there in my age and older than me , who stan Cardi B...and that's scary. I know personally one girl, shes 32..and she is trying to be like her..even speaking like her with bad words, making those Cardi B sounds like "ookur". She got craaaazy. That woman lost her own persona. So don't think that only children can be influenced. A lot of people get influenced in daily basis...and that's not even in a good way😒
@@samanthabean17 not only Cardi B... also City Girls etc. But let's not be naive. Of course it's a best for Cardi to say " uuhhm I'm not your childs role model, so do something with your child" ...You can't do anything with your child in today's network century . If that child has tiktok..snapchat.. Instagram...or any ooother social media platform(which they surely will have)..the time will come , when that child gonna see who this people are..they will get interested. And how you gonna stop them from searching Cardi B for example? Like how?? Its easy to say, but quietly impossible to do.
@Alex Stop being lazy and teach your children how to behave then. It is not a grown women's business to censor herself because you are too lazy to be a parent. Grown women can sexualize themselves as freely as they want because women are not made to please Mr.Alex's gender roles. If you have a problem with women being sexual, you're a massive vrigin. Grow a pair and move on.
not only one type of black women is being represented though. there are artists like normani, tinashe, SZA, and even Beyoncé like you said that do it in a more “classy” way if you wanna call it that. but there’s nothing wrong with meg and cardi being “raunchy” since it’s taboo for women to talk about sex like they did.
not my first comment being deleted 🤣
you are right about that...but that narrative of black women in the industry needs to be represented and elevated more. there isn't a lot of versatility when it comes to black women in the industry. we hear and see them sing/rap about the same things over and over (sex sells). the ones that choose to be different or true to themselves are the ones that are at the bottom, trying to make it and are barely noticed.
Cameisha Fray I can agree that it needs to be elevated more. I just really disliked how dizz was talking like there aren’t big/very famous artists that aren’t so raunchy
@Ellen Habteyonas THANK YOU
Taboo???😂😂😂 my god...
Black women aren’t a monolith and so for anyone to say “this doesn’t set an example of a good role model for Black girls” is putting us into even MORE of a box. I get what y’all are saying but I think it’s really powerful for Black women to reclaim their sexuality, as we’ve been either been hypersexualized by ALL MEN, or seen as not feminine at all. Also if you’re not a Black woman... don’t speak on it lol
Took an L with the all men comment. I know some really decent guys who respect women who don't even talk about them that way when they aren't around them. Idc if u don't believe that. And you took another L when you said I shouldn't speak on it cause I'm not a black woman like girl.... 😭 you shouldn't be the one speaking. IF YOU GONNA GENERALIZE THEN YOU CANT TELL PPL NOT TO SPEAK
Hermogeon Notice the “some” in what you said, YOU know some but that’s not the majority of men so no her comment didn’t take an L.
Thank you so much
I feel like women aren’t allowed in society to be sexual if they want to. As far as setting an example for young girls I am conflicted, because I feel like impressionable kids should not be exposed to this. For me, adult women wanting to be raunchy is and should not be a problem.
Also, you look mixed so you aren’t black either; there is a black experience and a mixed one they are different. As a mixed person you don’t face the same challenges as black women (theoretical and generally, I don’t know you personally) you don’t really have the monopole on this subject either. Have a good day 🙏🏼
Honestly Monroe through the whole song was ME I don't know how many times my weave got snatched
Monroe’s comments were so female empowering i love it 💜 that was a beautiful way to look at the MV
Women should express their sexuality however they want. Whether it’s all covered up or porn 🎉 power to you girl
Wow. This is an interesting post. I use to think backwards before, but now i'm broadening my mind. Thanks to people like you
@@skh8144 I’m so happy to hear that!
I agree with women expressing their sexuality but “porn” is where I draw the line. I’m okay with OnlyFans because Ik the women had a choice to post that stuff but most women in the actual pornographic industry were coerced and many unregulated content flows through that site and the executives have never cared. By unregulated content I mean YOUNG girls like 14/15 having their videos posted, getting millions of views or videos of women being raped in Eastern countries, or just videos and pictures of women in locker rooms/ fitting rooms. I support women 100% but I also have limits and know which industries are super harmful to women and men as well... stay informed
@@rkay4998 absolutely! If they don’t do it with their consent, it’s irreprehensible
This is why men are giving up on women. Who wants a skank?
Is these black women didn’t feel comfortable being represented in a song like this they would have declined the offer. If they felt uncomfortable wearing those outfits they would have declined, if at any point the song or the environment made them feel uncomfortable they would have declined.. we as viewers we need to stop telling women artist how we think they should behave no matter who it is. If normani wants to be in this song then she is ok with that and it’s not up to us or anyone to tell cardi she’s wrong for having those girls there, they are grown women who could have said no.
i feel that artist should make the music that they want to make. if you don’t like it, that’s okay. but that’s what they want to make. but i don’t feel i like black girls should have to create or move any different because the stereotype of the over-sexualized black women, that’s society and the media’s job. just let black women be black women. also cardi has songs that don’t just portray sex and sex work. her 2 biggest songs, i like it and bodak yellow, aren’t about sex. but again media hypes her sexy songs. i just think we should take the pressure of of women, but black women in general to get rid of stereotypes that have been put on them.
THISSS
"where is the artistry to be appreciated? there's none. because im listening to a porn song and a porn video" ... yikes adding that you aren't knocking the concept or their branding doesnt really save you from the fact that you are gatekeeping what "artistry" is. there's a lot of backtracking and denying instead of really listening 💀 the stereotyping of black women as oversexual is a problem however it is not black women's job to overturn this narrative. for a long time black women tried to be demure and virtuous but i think now we are really seeing a lot of black women accepting their sexuality and taking ownership of it and that is the empowering part. its black women CHOOSING to be sexual and explicit and raunchy. saying you dont like "whores in this house" playing while normani is dancing bc she "isnt a whore" is already implying that you view her differently than cardi b and megan, like she's better than that. she's a grown woman who chose to be in that video. as a black man who doesnt actively experience what a black women does, i just dont think you get the mysogynistic (mysogynoir) implications to a lot of the things you're saying. i felt like a lot of the things said were micro aggressions 💀 why is there never this type of discourse for male artists. its not a black woman's job to be a role model or some kind of virtue signal, its society's job to stop fetishizing black women.
Period!
PERIODDDD SAY IT LOUDER PLEASE !!! Dizz was speaking so hard like he has the face the issues of a women

Exactly!
And thats kinda sad that a white woman was more supportive to them than they 2. :/ they spent the whole video being aggressive
I wish the women in the group were able to voice first. Especially since men have had so much to say about this video.
Your Bae From Busan same, because it seemed like what the men said really influenced them :/
Worldsbestdad not rlly
the playlist or nah KILLED me pleaseee listen to the uncensored version, its 1000000000% times better without the sound effects censoring so many of the words; also cardi's parts will grow on you so much!!! on my first listen i was like...but it will grow on you SO much, the contrast between meg's part which were more what people expected and cardi's which are slow and really push the sexy narrative makes the song so original and loveable after you warm up to it
Exactly, U Betta Speak On It
Honestly the song was good, but i've been seeing so many people talking about how it's a bad influence for young women, or young black women in particular. That pisses me off cuz we have hundreds upon hundreds of songs from Black men that have women twerking all over thr place, have guys talking about their dick and shit but you don't have that many people saying "oh this a bad influence for young black men", instead it's just jokes about parents who see their daughters in the videos.
We need to stop expecting black women to be some type of angels, stop it, if you don't want yo daughters to see that then make sure they don't watch it. It's not a Black female Artist's job to raise yo kids, she tryna make her money and do what she likes.
Also for nb women saying that this takes women back decades or whatever, shut up, this song pushes confidence and feminist ideas in a way and unless you wipe your eyes and stop thinking too much you wouldn't know.
I agree with you all especially on the limited representation of the black woman. That being said when I first heard the song I felt liberated, empowered and slightly turned on. I loved that they just own their raunchiness, explicitness and that their flexing about it. Who says women cant do this? society? This song is a big f u to society and I love cardi for it. Meg did wash her tho.. on her own song.. cardi should come harder next time. I highly recommend listening to the uncensored version its much better
i think as you listen more and more you realize how good cardi's parts are!! i think megan's verse was more what people were expecting but i think cardi's slower parts really embody the message of the song whereas megan's makes it more likeable and creates contrast with cardi's to make the song really original
The funny thing about all of this is that I never even took into consideration the social aspect of it. All I saw was some booty and them being sexual. Beat and the way it was produced just brought it out more. Other than that... this ain't even new to them
i loved the bars on this one from meg and cardi as well as the sexiness and raunchiness, i felt empowered when listening to this bc i felt included like all women different shape and size could feel sexy and liberated the lyrics weren't limiting like you can find most times in the same type of songs except there made by men and society has now put those stereotypes into the culture of what women should look like, when and how sexy they can be. I mean men call women hoes/whores in music all the time and we just live with it and with songs like this we can take the terminology that has been placed on us and turn it around for empowerment. I've never understood how men can capitalize off of women's bodies and continue to be praised and PAID HIGHLY and the moment we do were get shamed and ostracized as too much as if we only fit into there representation of what a women should be. I love being sexy, smart, hardworking and hot as hell all at the same damn time and no one should ever be made to feel ashamed i think women are just better multitaskers and it confuses men so they try to control the narrative
Marissa Ramnauth Couldn’t agree more!
Khadija talking about the destigmatization of sex work is literally what I'm here for, thank you. Monroe's point on reclaiming the power and sexuality of women being sexual in their own right outside of being props for male rappers/hip hop artists is also on point. I appreciate y'all for speaking up in spite of the mansplaining you encountered.

@KStar And my point is that everyone is allowed to give his opinion when it is in a respectable way.
Men commenting on women and women commenting on men should not be forbidden. We live in a society.
Juste because a man don't like this kind of video. It should not be viewed as a man judging a woman's worse. It is an opinion nothing less nothing more.
I say this with love but I'm commenting this whilst watching and I'm just waiting for Dizz to stop talking. This song, for me, was the biggest middle finger to all the times women are criticised for explicit content when male rappers can rap about whatever they like. This song is the definition of women owning their sexuality and wearing it with pride. Nobody is asking male rappers/artists to be role models for young boys yet, why should Cardi B and Megan be?
I totally agree with the ladies here. Like Cardi said before there’s plenty of rappers who’s content is more conscious and less “raunchy” and “sexy” but people don’t support those artist and the media don’t push those artist as much. I also feel like it’s tough to always place that Role Model label on an artist. Parents should parent their own children and be their own kids role models.
I loved this video. I respect your stance, Dizz, but I wish I heard a little more from Khadija and Monroe on this one. I do think you all brought up great points. Love you guys!!
I agree. He took up HALF the video with his opinions.
Megan’s flow when she comes on the song is 🔥
There’s never a debate whether men in the industry are being tasteful or role models though. Somehow every time a song like this comes out people start worrying about the innocence of their children like clockwork. Like it’s somehow the responsibility of women as a collective to have a hand in raising every single child in the world? Men are allowed to be raunchy and women are constantly scrutinized for it.
Monroe reaction was similar to mine. I was like "YASSSS!!!" So many time the first time I saw WAP. Women claiming our sexuality and demanding the world recognize that we want specific things out of sex too. Not just men. Yes. Fuck YES!!
Dizz when he saw Normani I LOVE HIM
Dizz is a true Normani fan 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everyone is missing the point. He's not saying there's anything wrong with women being comfortable with their sexuality, being raunchy or anything. He is calling attention to WOMEN OF COLOR and BLACK WOMEN - in the entertainment industry, this is the only role that's chosen for them. In the 90s, early 2000s we were grateful to have Aaliyah, Brandy, Monica and even Ciara and Destiny's Child - all different types from different walks of life giving you different imagery and personality. And we had the Lil Kims, Trinas and Khias co-existing happily in the same world.
Now, it's only the Love & Hip Hop, I rap and I fuck type of model. Women CAN be sexual and feminist and all that but when it comes to black women surviving and rising in this industry they should be given all different types of roles because everyone else get to do it. Normani is super talented and there should be no reason she isn't on Arianna Grande's level but the industry only will let black women shine unless it's a certain type of model now.
The Problem is the Trend of Music, There are mostly Black Male Rappers like DaBaby that are in the TOP 10, if you look at Billboard Hot 100, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie fit the Trend of Music, Sonically it is the style of the music that is Hot right now, also do you guys forget about Lizzo, Chloe & Halle, H.E.R. etc.... there are so much more Black Female Artists that are Killing it, I don’t know why people just like to hate. The people who stream it and buy it, consume it is the one who hold responsibility, not the Artist, it’s us listeners who are in charge of putting different kind of Artists to the top.
normalize women doing whatever the hell they want. it’s really sad that women get criticized for doing the same thing as men. i really wish society would let black women be whatever & be whoever they want.
Is this how America functions ?? 😂😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️😂
The attention that this video is getting is first of all STUNNING and PHENOMENAL, but I’m not gonna lie the level of CONVERSATION brought by it really sells this vid for me
I agree with Monroe! Let us women embrace our sexuality without the negative reactions. Don’t like it, don’t look or listen too it 🤷🏽♀️
Dizz’s opinion sets women back 100 years.
omg how😭
dumbb. liaa i know he was trying to phrase himself in the nicest way possible but his opinion was still very sexist and close minded. 😬
Honestly I feel women always have to be ashamed when it comes to owning their sexuality. Men have all of that and more in their videos and never have to hear negativity. Agree with Dizz but i think that's why Cardi put other ethnicities in the video as well. It would be different if it was only black women portrayed.
You can't please everyone.
Songs performed by Diana Ankudinova - all live! She lives each story of the song by herself and through her feelings shakes our hearts!!! We rejoice in the light like children, or our soul is squeezed by sadness! Diana left no one indifferent...no one!!!= ))) Diana's tone gives the audience goosebumps!!! It's like a diamond with its own hue!!!=)))))
DIANA🌹🌹🌹 💥💥💥⭐⭐⭐
🔥🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶Diana Ankudinova
And I want to hear the reaction to Diana Ankudinova, please
Women, cis or trans, have no obligation to being role models to anyone.
Wow a 24 minutes reaction?! I'm ready let's gooooo 😁🤩
I love all these commentary and that’s why I stan rIVerse.
Yes Monroe PREACHHHHH!
I been WAITIN for this one!!!
After watching it , it just sounded like the problem is that this “narrative” and visual are in the for front and not behind close doors . 🤷🏾♂️ it’s not said artist responsibility to be raising y’all kids and a role models. If you don’t like it don’t watch and listen
So I just subscribed! This was one of the most intelligent convos surrounding this video I’ve heard. You guys are great!
Dizz is very annoying about this. He just doesn't want to accept the insecurity he's struggling here. 🤪.
Khadija and Monroe go girls 💃 💃. SPEAK.
@AlexNow you know 😇And what better way to know than this song.
@Alex why not? 🙄
It's nice to have this kind of conversation wherein you have a different perspective yet you still are okay. The understanding and respect in each opinion is admiring. Lovelots Riverse!
The reaction to Normani is so genuine and pure ❤️🥰
Monroe and Khadija TAAAAAAANKS for your smart words!!!!
the best reactors which are there !!!!!!! you must have at least 1m of subscribers !!! LOVE !!
Everybody getting bothered about how each persons reaction to this is but I'm going to say this. Everybody's opinion on here is legitimate and they have the right and my respect to feel the way they feel. What I want to touch on is this: Can we appreciate how these 4 beautiful people sat on this couch, talked out their feelings in a respectful way and heared each other and valued one anothers words and opinions? I RESPECT THAT!!!!
Dizz REALLY got me UPSET 🤬 in this reaction. I’m really mad with his interruptions, sis u gotta FUCKING wait your time to talk
NOT EVERY MUSIC GENRE IS FOR EVERYONE. WE HAVE DIVERSITY. THANKFULLY
Khadijah: EXACTLY! It’s not like black women don’t express themselves in different genres & different themes. It’s just that the masses only support a certain image. Zak: you’re right. Everyone makes their content with a target audience in mind. Unfortunately, it’s easily accessible for literally everyone. And y’all are all right. But all parents are responsible for providing their “ideal” role model for their kids.
Dizz lowkey should’ve sat there and ate his food.
First of all....the intro is everything... secondly... personalities....oh I'm definitely subscribing
If I were there with these guys on the couch I would be looking like Monroe! She looked pissed and upset throughout the entire end of the video! She really liked the song and herself looking on how her friends hated it would make me upset tooo🤯🤯☹️
6:56 : Zak: I'm confused.
Totally me when i was watching WAP.
You know what, I entered this reaction with the same mind frame as Monroe, but you all made valid points. Hopefully the comment section is open minded and receptive to all critiques made from the group.
"Omg is that normani?im so wow" lol that reaction make me cry😂😂😂😂😂
pretty sure Zaks only like 90% gay. His eyes were as wide as a straight mans through the whole video LMAO.
Loved the conversation it’s awesome to see adults healthily speaking together on things! You guys are awesome! ❤️
I hope Normani sees the positive reaction she’s getting from her cameo and comes out with at least a single shes way too talented!!
6:06 I love Kadija's reaction to Dizz's scream "IS THAT NORMANI?!" ❤😂💕
I find it hilarious that YT wouldn’t let them use the original audio of the song so they had to use the censored version for the MV 😂😂
Loved this reaction! Especially how y’all actually listened and didn’t talk through the video... Amazing video
I agree with Dizz 😅 but I like how y'all disagree and argue respectfully and share your povs
Interesting conversation at the end!
I get what Dizz and Zac are trying to say. I don't think they're saying that the raunchy sexuality of artists like Cardi B is bad or unworthy of being aspired to, it's just that this shouldn't be the ONLY representation offered to and of women - especially black women. When they use the word "role model" I completely get what they're trying to say, Dizz and Zac are not saying that Cardi B is a bad role model but that she's not *everybody's* role model and young audiences deserve more variation and representation of themselves in the media. I feel like this isn't a critique directed at Cardi B herself (she should keep doing what she's doing and show as much of her body as she likes. That's her brand and she owns it. I love that we're seeing women completely owning their sexuality and being powerful with it) but I think the real critique lies with the media that push or block the images we see. Variation of representations in media is so important so that everyone can feel included and acknowledged. I loved your friendly debate in today's video, very interesting conversation to think about!
Great summary and understanding of the issues we were trying to get across!! Thanks for joining the conversation!
I really appreciate Dizz's comments.
Zak be like: 👁 👁 👄 👁 👁
😂 no hate 💖 love you guys’ reaction and evaluation
I appreciate all of the perspectives. They are all valid for me.
I agree with Dizz 100%! 💯
i love that monroe & khadija were still respectful enough to stay quiet while dizz was speaking but you could see that they wanted to SAY SUM and once they did, i was living. spoke all the facts, i love them. 🙌🏽✨
I was literally looking forward to Dizz going off after the song was over the entire time. He looked so uncomfortable I felt so bad😂
Also: “OH MY GOD IS THAT NORMANI???” Had me *rolling* 😂
OMG IS THAT NORMANI. 😂😂😂 was so me when I saw that 😭😭
When I was a child, I was not allowed to watch or sing certain songs. And that’s fine, I snuck in MTV where I could but ultimately I appreciated that censorship that my parents gave me. It’s not anybody else’s responsibility to protect your child from things you don’t approve of.
I WAS SO WAITING FOR DIZZ TO SEE NORMANIII I NEW THAT REACTION WAS COMING
it wasn’t even explicit LMFAOOO. this the clean version. the real version is dirtier. also, men shouldn’t have no say in what women should do and shouldn’t do. y’all men don’t pay them, mind the business that pay y’all. this reaction blew tf out of me
TOTALLY
I LOVE all of your reaction to this video!!! You gave me life ...fr. "They're not social distancing..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see everyone’s points but I agree with Dizz. I am tired of this oversexualised and hypersexualised image of black women being pushed for decades now. I understand what Monroe is saying however as a white woman, she has had the opportunity to see all types of representation and different images for women that look like her so it’s easy for her to see the empowerment and owning your sexuality aspect of the song. Even in the video Kylie Jenner is portrayed as if she is this Madame who runs the brothel while the other women of colour are portrayed as quote on quote “bottom whores”...even in the video there is a distinction in the portrayal of women of colour and white women. As a young black woman, I am TIREEEEED of us being portrayed like this. Empowering black women does not lay in overtly sexualising us, it lies in having other images and representation of black women that allows us to be multifaceted rather than just sexual. And yes Cardi nor Meg do not have to censor themselves for anyone nor are they responsible for anyone’s child but they have to realise that they are a part of a harmful trope and narrative that has harmed the black community particularly black women for so long. The constant portrayal of black women as hypersexual is amongst one of the reasons black women aren’t taken seriously when they talk about things like sexual trauma and responsible for the “little fast ass girl” trope. We’re often stripped of our childhood and youth long before we have lived through it because of narratives like this. It’s harmful whether they realise it or not. Plus the song is subpar at best.
but where was this massive groundswell when black men were doing it? Why is it only happening now that black women are?
I agree with you, especially about being tired of the over sexualized image of women of color, it's getting old, I'm tired of it. But I also think that there are many things to be proud of, seeing these women of color embracing themselves. But them being portrayed as the "bottom whores" while Kylie Jenner just walks up in there like she owns the place...I didn't like it at all.
Drewski217 but that’s the irony...back then women were saying how they were tired of men degrading women, then we fast forward years later and women are doing the same thing, but trying to disguise it as sexual liberation,
@@Drewski217 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾THAT PART!!! THAT PART!!!!!
@@lovelydove5043 these women chose to make a sexual video, though. Sexualizing yourself on your own terms is not the same as random men doing it whenever they feel like it however they feel like it with no regard for you or what you want.
Dizz hair is life I love it
Every person on these comment section calling Dizz sexist, are the ones who call for intersectionality, and then ignore it when its needed. Dizz is not saying that Megan and Cardi showcasing their sexuality is inherently a bad thing, it's the fact that, they as black women are limited to ONLY sing/rap about sex, the whole "sex sells", while women from other ethnicities get to exist in the music industry and do whatever they please. I mean, Cardi said it herself that when she made songs that weren't about her vagina, they flopped, so she came back to sing about it because it sells. And don't get me started with the whole sex liberation nonsense narratives that have emerged around the conversations of this video.
THE ONLY CHANNEL THAT I WATCH IF I WANT ME SOME REACTION VIDEOS !!!
CONTENT / QUALITY VIDS >>>>
I was thinking the same exact thing as Dizz to be honest. Also Khadija, a lot of people were thinking the same. Megan came harder than Cardi to be honest, these were definitely not her strongest verses.
Not surprising tbh. Her flow was very "Cardi" which is fine with me but I personally really liked the wordplay.
Intro got me off the rip omg ! Ima definitely check yall out
I love the intro ♡
This was such an awesome discussion you all had- I really appreciated hearing everyone's commentary, especially Monroe's and Khadija's. Also, I think the "there's some hoes in this house" is a sample of an older song that was used in WAP
