Some people fail to understand the power jungkook alone holds. The only artists bigger than him in Kpop is BTS. No other groups/artists comes close to him. The thing is he released all these tracks before enlistment.
JK is ridiculously talented, he definitely would be the most popular guy in the group but not the only talented one, they are all extremely talented, that's why as a group they are a complete powerhouse. He's currently in the military in Korea and will be discharged in June next year when the whole group will reunite. They all pursued solo work before they enlisted in the military last year. Jungkook's album Golden is entirely in english and is very good, he decided to create an album with all different genre's of music which he masterfully pulled off. Jk is extremely likeable, off the stage he's quite shy and introverted and before he enlisted last year he did numerous lives with fans for hours on end, having a drink, doing laundry, cooking.. and twice from his bed, where in one case he fell asleep during the live. He's a very "normal" guy off stage and why so many fans adore him.
I remember that Live on Weverse where he fell asleep! Something like 8 million+ people were watching him sleep ~ I was one of those people! I think HYBE finally cut the video feed after 15-20 minutes because JK was very much asleep ~ not just closing his eyes for a few minutes… 😍

In kpop it’s normal for different members in the groups to have solo releases and still be a part of the group. The US/western music industry doesn’t work that way, hence groups always breaking up bc members want to explore their individual sound. In kpop they’re allowed to explore themselves as individual artists and then go back to the group (and many continue releasing solo work too- almost every BTS member, for example, has released several solo songs/albums)
But Bts are different every member released albums , but other kpop groups pick the most popular members and make he /she release a single or album from what I noticed

If you like this you should check out his whole album. His whole album was in English, his album is called Golden. Also all the other members of BTS have solo albums, they would release them in between BTS albums. They are still a group but sometimes they want to release their own music.
JK’s entire debut album (“Golden”) is in English and he recorded it in America with American producers (and obviously featured American artists). With that album he was trying to appeal to a more global audience and so his work also gives off a more Americanized look and sound. All that is intentional.

BTS as a group will not go anywhere because of solo projects. Every member has solo albums except Jin who is currently working on one and is expected to release it later this year.

There was no "Betrayal." One thing y'all gonna learn about BTS/Kpop Groups that are different from Western Groups is that in Kpop it is COMPLETELY normal to release solo songs/Solo albums and do solo promotions while still being in a group. No, BTS did not disband, they are in the military and will resume group activities next year when all the members are done finishing their service. BTS debuted in 2013 and they've been releasing solo songs while still being active as a group since 2014 this is not anything new to ARMYS (Their fandom name) lol. The members are literally family, soulmates and best friends they love each other IMMENSLY. Anyway... Jungkook! My Bias! My Ult! I love him so much he is the Maknae (The Youngest) in BTS as well as the Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Center, Sub-rapper etc. He is famously known as the Golden Maknae (Golden Youngest) and has in recent years been dubbed The "Main Pop Boy." Since you've already listened to his 3 singles I'm sure y'all can figure out why he's called that lol. He is extremely talented and such a caring person! He IS the most successful K-Pop Solo Artist (The other members being right behind him because BTS are the only group in which the group and the members are all extremely successful) When it comes to Jungkooks competition in the K-Pop industry his only competition is literally BTS. all bts members have solo music out, its common in kpop. since JK's solo album was in full english it got a lot of attention and it was very succesful. of course, thats also because his voice is unmatched and his dancing is also crazy good. when "Golden" (the title of the album) was released i was so happy cuz to me its been years since i got such a good pop album in english. in regards to you comparing BTS to 1D and thinking theres any betrayal going on, the only thing im gonna say is this: just think about the fact that all members got the number 7 tattooed on them, even the members that had no intention of getting tattoos and were quite afraid to get one. JK and Jimin got theirs in very visible places, you can even see JK's in the mvs, he got it behind his year. Jimin has it on one of his fingers. another member Suga got it right next to the scar on his shoulder that he got after having surgery (long emotional story that maybe you'll learn about). so yeah, they love eachother and are eachothers biggest fans as you can see. no other group is like them. they did this in 2022 to celebrate their friendship and love for the group.

All of them now focus on solo career since they all have to go serve in military for 2.5 years, they will came back together as group in 2025. Some of them already record the song earlier but post it when they are still in military so that fans will not feel the absent.
Just a clarification for those passing by 2.5 years is how long from the first member enlisting to the last member being discharged. Each member has to serve 18 months except Suga who has to serve 21 months because he's a social service worker instead of active duty.

They’re taking a break from group music since they have to do mandatory military service but they’re coming back together in 2025 after all the members are back from the military 😄😄 even during their solo activities, all the members have been super supportive of one another
Girl you're right on target devil but also so nice his love for his fan base Army and his brothers is unmatched he is the guy who can sing and dance better live than in studio he's the guy that will spend 4 hours on live stream just drinking hanging out and doing karaoke with army. He is the adorable little kookie who on live falls asleep with army watching him for 45 minutes but he is also the little imp who does a live under a blanket with little to no clothes on giggling all the time😂 he's the guy who writes exclusively songs about and to army one of the first kpop idols who openly have a sleeve tattoo he's the guy who has his armys name tattoo acrosses knuckles but he's also the guy who loves to flirt.
It's very different with bts, all the members have been doing their solo activities for years now and I think that really helps with keeping the balance of the group as well! They do what they wish and want and that's how the group hopefully will never disband
No it's very normal for all members of a k-pop group to have some form of solo work. It could be singles, albums, acting in movies or series and ect. Everyone in BTS has done solo work but JK just wanted to do an English album so all his songs under the golden album are in English and a couple of other solo tracks are too. Jimin did English versions of his songs and every member has a solo album each with many different genres per member. No album/ solo work is the same. I highly recommend you check out V's mini album. There is MV's for all the song and they are a mix of English and Korean lyrics. He leans towards more jazz influence, Jimin is more pop, RM is more alternative music (all his songs are different lol), Suga or Agust D is more Rap influence, J-hope is more Rock and Hip-hop influence and Jin has an album coming out soon. Jin's solo songs are more ballad based though. He even did a solo song with Coldplay called 'The Astronaut' and the whole group have a song with Coldplay called 'my universe'. Definitely worth a check out. Sorry if I ranted a little bit ahah.

Its not a betrayal. He is worked on his solo album while the other members are in the military. Once he did his album, he also enlisted in the military. When all the members are done with the military, they will come back together again. BTS is a strong group with members who love each other very much.
All of them have been doing their solo things since the beginning of their group. They are allowed to have their own colours and express it individually, but I would say there has never been bad blood between the members, as every member has been getting so much support from each other for their solo projects. They are family of more than 10 years.

So in South Korea it is mandatory to join Military so currently all the members went to military except Jin who is already completed and had returned. Also they did not disband or has went solo's , they will be united back again at 2025 after everyone's completion. Hope i kinda made it clear😅

One thing y'all gonna learn about BTS/Kpop Groups that are different from Western Groups is that in Kpop it is COMPLETELY normal to release solo songs/Solo albums and do solo promotions while still being in a group. No, BTS did not disband, they are in the military and will resume group activities next year when all the members are done finishing their service. Since you've already listened to his 3 singles I'm sure y'all can figure out why he's called that lol. He is extremely talented and such a caring person! He IS the most successful K-Pop Solo Artist (The other members being right behind him because BTS are the only group in which the group and the members are all extremely successful)

all bts members have solo music out, its common in kpop. since JK's solo album was in full english it got a lot of attention and it was very succesful. of course, thats also because his voice is unmatched and his dancing is also crazy good. when "Golden" (the title of the album) was released i was so happy cuz to me its been years since i got such a good pop album in english.
in regards to you comparing BTS to 1D and thinking theres any betrayal going on, the only thing im gonna say is this: just think about the fact that all members got the number 7 tattooed on them, even the members that had no intention of getting tattoos and were quite afraid to get one. JK and Jimin got theirs in very visible places, you can even see JK's in the mvs, he got it behind his year. Jimin has it on one of his fingers. another member Suga got it right next to the scar on his shoulder that he got after having surgery (long emotional story that maybe you'll learn about). so yeah, they love eachother and are eachothers biggest fans as you can see. no other group is like them. they did this in 2022 to celebrate their friendship and love for the group.

All of them now focus on solo career since they all have to go serve in military for 2.5 years, they will came back together as group in 2025. Some of them already record the song earlier but post it when they are still in military so that fans will not feel the absent.
Just a clarification for those passing by 2.5 years is how long from the first member enlisting to the last member being discharged. Each member has to serve 18 months except Suga who has to serve 21 months because he's a social service worker instead of active duty.

all the members of bts have been releasing solo music since the early days of their career! They’re taking a break from group music since they have to do mandatory military service but they’re coming back together in 2025 after all the members are back from the military 😄😄 even during their solo activities, all the members have been super supportive of one another
Girl you're right on target devil but also so nice his love for his fan base Army and his brothers is unmatched he is the guy who can sing and dance better live than in studio he's the guy that will spend 4 hours on live stream just drinking hanging out and doing karaoke with army. He is the adorable little kookie who on live falls asleep with army watching him for 45 minutes but he is also the little imp who does a live under a blanket with little to no clothes on giggling all the time😂 he's the guy who writes exclusively songs about and to army one of the first kpop idols who openly have a sleeve tattoo he's the guy who has his armys name tattoo acrosses knuckles but he's also the guy who loves to flirt.
It's very different with bts, all the members have been doing their solo activities for years now and I think that really helps with keeping the balance of the group as well! They do what they wish and want and that's how the group hopefully will never disband

No it's very normal for all members of a k-pop group to have some form of solo work. It could be singles, albums, acting in movies or series and ect. Everyone in BTS has done solo work but JK just wanted to do an English album so all his songs under the golden album are in English and a couple of other solo tracks are too. Jimin did English versions of his songs and every member has a solo album each with many different genres per member. No album/ solo work is the same. I highly recommend you check out V's mini album. There is MV's for all the song and they are a mix of English and Korean lyrics. He leans towards more jazz influence, Jimin is more pop, RM is more alternative music (all his songs are different lol), Suga or Agust D is more Rap influence, J-hope is more Rock and Hip-hop influence and Jin has an album coming out soon. Jin's solo songs are more ballad based though. He even did a solo song with Coldplay called 'The Astronaut' and the whole group have a song with Coldplay called 'my universe'. Definitely worth a check out. Sorry if I ranted a little bit ahah.

Its not a betrayal. He is worked on his solo album while the other members are in the military. Once he did his album, he also enlisted in the military. When all the members are done with the military, they will come back together again. BTS is a strong group with members who love each other very much.
All of them have been doing their solo things since the beginning of their group. They are allowed to have their own colours and express it individually, but I would say there has never been bad blood between the members, as every member has been getting so much support from each other for their solo projects. They are family of more than 10 years.

So in South Korea it is mandatory to join Military so currently all the members went to military except Jin who is already completed and had returned.
Also they did not disband or has went solo's , they will be united back again at 2025 after everyone's completion.
