- Ahmedabad airport police incidents: અમદાવાદ એરપોર્ટથી નીકળતા પેસેન્જર્સ અને ખાસ કરીને NRIને થોડેક દૂર હેરાન કરતા પોલીસ કર્મચારીઓનાં કિસ્સા વધ્યા છે. ચેકિંગનાં નામે દારૂ છે કે નહીં એમ કહીને બેગ અને લગેજ ચેક કરી તેઓ ઘણો બધો સમય વેડફી નાખતા હતા. આવા એરપોર્ટથી ઘરે પરત જતા લોકો સાથે હજારો રૂપિયાનાં તોડ થયા હોય એવા કિસ્સાઓ સામે આવતા હવે પોલીસ કમિશનરે પણ કડક પગલા ભરવા આદેશ આપ્યો છે. લોકોને આ રીતે હાલાકીનો સામનો ન કરવો પડે તેની તાકિદ લેવા જણાવ્યું છે.

એક ફરિયાદ સેલ પણ ઊભું કરવામાં આવે. જ્યાં ફોન સંદેશો મળતાં જ ઉચ્ચ અધિકારીઓ જે તે સ્થળે ત્વરિત પહોંચી જાય.
પણ આ માટે સજજડ ઈચ્છા હોવી જોઈએ.ઉઘરાણા માં ભાગ જ પડાવાતો હોય તો કોઈ પગલાં શું કામ લેવા???

I was victim of this kind of incident, I visiting India in Oct 2022 from USA via Dubai, landed early morning at Amadavad Airport. Rented cab picked up and he drove along Sabarmati front to go to Rajkot. In some ware after that road, police stopped and inquired, I answered what he asked, he warned if there are any alcohols after I search will be more difficult for me (In the sense he will demand more if anything found in search), better to do deal now. I don’t have anything to hide but he didn’t believe. He checked all the four bags and did not find and wasted our time (I know as a NRI I am able to carry some alcohol with me is permissible with some restrictions)
