Jumped to the comments . The biggest issue is battery runtime and yet to be tested longevity. I had a preorder 1st day . But im holding out sand tracks here suck those batteries dry in 20mins
First off, I only trail ride . I’ve had my Stark for two months and I love it. I rode my KTM 300XC for the first time a couple of days ago….It honestly felt like a dinosaur…I cut my my ride short and no joke, listed my 300XC for sale. I know this sounds crazy but it felt so un-refined compared to the Stark. The instant throttle response, the crazy torque and power of the Stark is intoxicating. It’s just so much fun to ride and makes you smile, every time. For reference, my 300 has over $6k in mods and add ons…it’s the best dirt bike I’ve ever owned( till the Stark). That said, considering the riding I do, I simply don’t see myself using the KTM again. The Stark is just so much fun to ride. Range is not an issue FOR ME. I typically ride around 3hrs or less of trail riding…range is fine. I typically run it at 55hp. Also, 80 hp is basically useless for trail riding so if you’re in the market, save $1000 and get the 60hp. I put it in 80hp regularly but I’ve never actually used the 80hp except one brief time in an open sandy area. The phone app has a cool graph that shows how much hp you’ve ACTUALLY used on every ride. I’ve barely ever went over 60hp on any ride. It could be done on a track or in wide open areas…but in trails, not really. Again, this is just my opinion and my opinion only.
Dig this vid. Good job boys! I already know I’m gonna like it when I ride it… I also know I’m going to want one, but I need at least 2 hours of run time and or a swappable battery to make the purchase and enjoy my normal full day of riding…
I remember when four strokes were going to ruin everything. The Stark Varg is the new yz400. 10 years from now it's going to seem stupid to hate the bike. Will you really miss doing top ends, valve jobs, water pumps, oil changes, shims, cam chains, and cleaning your air filters? Bad gas? You buy a 450, have the suspension done, new pipe, etc. and you haven't saves any more vs a Varg. The longer you own the bike the cheaper it gets. Unlike a 450 you won't have to basically throw it away when it gets 400 hours on it.
Bro the guys who hate on Stark, cybertruck etc are so annoying. Thought people liked freedom. I’m tired of oil changes, changing spark plugs etc Those batteries are estimated at 1000 charge cycles. Thats incredible.
Preordered aug 2022 and will finally be getting mine on June 1, so excited
