Very interesting, seems like even top padel players don't make that much considering all the expenses. Always remember, they can get injured, they can gradually lose their game or many other things, which will prevent them from making any big money. Also unlike bela or Miguel Lamperti, most of these dudes won't likely be playing past their 40s. They will however be able to coach for a decent income i guess so (if ever they need to, financially). I think it is cool that padel doesn't make milionaires yet, but that will soon change i think

In total earnings you can add some sponsor money too. Wouldn't be surprised if that double many players earnings especially for top players.

I think as the sport grows world wide and more people start consuming padel on TV top 1 will be reaching 1M in prize money in the next couple years.
The fact that the highest purse was 50k Euro a player... tells you how little they make. I wouldn't be surprised if they earn more from endorsements.
Interesting video, the comparison is not fair in my opinion. If you want to compare it then maybe compare it with doubles in tennis. Still a big difference, I think, but not as big as stated in your video.
It'll take a while but it'll get there. The big factor is TV broadcasting, that's what currently makes so many other sports that profitable. Here in South Africa for example, I'm watching all the events for free on either TH-cam or Red Bull TV. I love it as they do a great job in how they broadcast via these platforms but to make any money out of it, they will need a deal with our hugely corrupt, greedy and incompetent local sports broadcaster SuperSport.
so even cardona got approximately 40 000 last year after taxes, and let say that amount is not sufficient to pay the coaches,physio and all other stuff, so the only thing that he earn are from sponsor

He was the 5th highest earner but his list was sorted by end of year ranking, and hi finished the year 7th (which is why he was shown before others that earned less than him)
