This is a wonderful rendition of my favorite Allman Brothers song of all. The solos from the studio version are so ingrained in me I can play them note for note, really more melody than improvisation. I never like playing slide, but I learned long ago to use thumb and fingers instead of pick to get Duane-like nuances on this song. Trucks' technique is perfect for this, then he throws in the slide too. He captures enough pieces of the original solos to make it familiar, but he adds much more. So true to the spirit of the band.
