In ACIII, he was so busy trying to save his village that he pretty much didn't know or care about the Assassin Order. My interpretation of this is that, basically nothing that has been told is true, more told to keep us in check,for example religion. It was created because we really had no order back then so someone smarter came up with an official story that had a reward for good behaviour (heaven)and a consequence for bad behaviour (hell) anyway I could go on about how religion is rubbish but there’s to much to say. Strange there’s so much philosophy in the early assassins creed games,I just love it! The way they did a spin on the people In charge of the world ‘theTemplar’s’ but very overblown obviously. The ‘nothing is true’ doesn’t really hold up today with science and everything,but back then everything was false. So it’s a way of saying don’t believe what you’re told, come up with your own conclusions. And the ‘everything is permitted’ is basically there is no laws and no meaning to life,we have come to be just by coincidence so you can do what you want. But remember,just because nothing is true to you doesn’t mean everyone else thinks the same so your actions have to obey the believed laws of the world otherwise you’ll suffer the consequences. Just love the old assassins creed games with it’s deep rooted philosophy on life,now it’s just sad to watch where it is.
    I guess that’s what happens when every buggy game they came out with everyone left hate. My guess is they thought “nobody knows what they want so I guess will just make a fortnite type experience with colours and cosmetics” not realising that everyone loved the previous games. It’s just,they had soo many bugs,literal game breaking ones. Shame if they just spent a little more than a FREAKING YEAR! I mean they literally made the games in a year,The employees must of been slaves for sure.

      in the context of Altair's day, and still strongly but slightly less so in Ezio's, (organized) religion would probably have been the most prominent example, but I feel it applies to all ideology and moral codes. Nothing is absolute truth because there is only what people subjectively believe is correct. Blindly believing something without first considering whether you agree with it is foolish, but at the same time every decision of how you want to live your life is an active choice with inevitable consequences that you only have yourself to blame.
      Own your shit, or at the very least decide who should, but everything is permitted; never pretend you weren't the one who started walking this path if you don't like where it leads.
      Realistically, imo, it's not actually anti-religion at all, just against blind faith without reasoning. Against just letting something else fully dictating what you should do without giving it a second thought. If you personally decide that you agree with what a religion says then all the power to you. But it's all on you, always has been and always will be. Always *should* be, if free will is to have its way.

      Nothing is true still holds up. do you think our society is built up on concrete grounds? Our understanding of reality itself could shift with a solid unifying theory, our rules and morals are shifting everyday. It shows there really is no truth.

    So ma boy Ezio knew or at least sort of knew WHEN and WHO build the FIRST ever Assassin Brotherhood ? Which for those who dont know, ma boy Bayek of Siwa did it in Egypt at 46 B.C. and then he expanded it in 43 B.C. ? I thinks yes

    The saying nothing is true of all is permitted is beyond society it is infact a spiritual guide to our observational lifestyle. The saying "nothing is true means that all is true, The saying "everything is permitted means nothing is permitted. This philosophy is beyond social construct and more for the human soul. Depending on your lvl of enlightenment the saying will resonate a certain way. Deshi basara 🙏🏽

      not really a contradiction, hes saying your responsible for your actions and becoming an assassin wasn't a matter of a good or bad action when he says this life chose me he means it well more or less chose him because his fathers death accidentally really made him an assassin

    • @joshuaarnold3582
      @joshuaarnold3582 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      We are responsible for our actions. Actions taken by other men of the templar order that killed his family. An action taken by giovanni as he told ezio where to find his assassin gear. An action taken by ezio to kill the man/men in anger and in rage responsible for his families murder. Therefore becoming an assassin in the process. The life chose him because they could of killed another family but he is responsible for his action in taking revenge on them. So it's not contradictory.
