Everyone knows that your taking your life into your hands, when you eat at a fast food restaurant. The owners treat the employees like crap, they don't give them a fair salary, so the employees have an I don't care attitude. People can be pretty nasty. Not washing there hands after using the restroom. And a whole lot of other gross stuff.
Anytime I get an urge for fast food I'm just gonna watch this and save myself money a trip to the er and I'll loose some weight in the process it's just a win win situation.

Having worked at Wendy's, I can attest the women in the video has some kind of vendetta against Wendy's. How can a fresh open can of tomatoes smell like vomit as this women states in the video. A complete lie. When I worked at Wendy's, I grilled the burger meat that came in fresh every day. The unused cooked patties cooked on the grill were put into the freezer. No, weeks did not go by before these patties were used for the chili. No they were not soaking in grease, how could they when they had just been cooked on the grill? What ever grease there was, came out when cooked on the grill. My job at times was also preparing chili. We used can kidney beans and can tomatoes plus a premeasured bag of seasonings. I ate their chili, I liked it. I feel it was just so very wrong how this women knocked Wendy's chili.
She probably did it herself. I worked at Wendy’s as well and never experienced that. Chili was always made fresh everyday. (Not saying they don’t take short cuts to save inventory cost) but they never did that. Sounds like she is a bitter employee.
I used to work at Wendy's I was actually going to say the same stuff that you just said. My nephew worked at a Wendy's too he's told me multiple times about how nasty the chili is because they use leftover meat. Might be a generational thing I don't know

Once when I worked at Hardee's someone wanted breakfast. The problem was I had just threw away the last of the biscuits. I was making biscuits that day. So the manager came over and got one of the biscuits from the top and served it. I didn't think it should have happened. If it were up to me I would have just told the customer the biscuits had already been thrown away. The manager no longer works there anymore. Also be aware the tea urns can get gross. Slime and all brown around the spout. It's supposed to be white.

Customers are not being educated about what they purchase from fast food. They easily trust the staff workers. People should be more health conscience and cook at home. That's why you have a kitchen!
About kitchens. Look at real estate sites. Evrybody wants modern state of the art glamour kitchens....but sad thing is, they seldom use them and still prefer eating at a restaurant. Its like they only want to showcase the big, showy kitchen to friends, family, and visitors. We have owned small kitchens, large kitchens, new top of the line appliances...and even an 18th century style kitchen as part of a reproduction home. We are about 50/50 users when it comes to home meals....but I concur it is more safe and saniatry to cook your own meals.
Just because you got your food from a fine dining resto or a 5 star hotel does not mean its top class, is it? did you saw their kitchen? all you do was sit on the comfort of their chairs and tables, but is happening at the back of their kitchen?
I never eat out at fast food joints. I don’t trust the sanitation but especially the people making the food. I’m sure if I could peek in any restaurant kitchen I’d probably never eat out again
Worked at TBell, the meet smells bland, looks like chunky chili meat and only gives you diarrhea when they either pull it out early, or leave it out too long. Which are common tbh. But hopefully that explains it more.
Having worked at B.K in the early 80's, i can attest that our store was always kept clean. When we had a slow day, that meant cleaning tables, break room, public bathrooms, always keeping things clean. We'd even go outside to clean by the garbage dumpsters, and sweep the parking lot.
the least horrifying and least concerning is the dominos cheese and pepperoni pizza costing the same, like who really cares am I right. Compared to the other stuff, that's the only thing that won't make you puke
There this 1 co worker that seems like a petty b. And while I was in the middle of an order, I thought I was trippin for a bit then realized I wasn't. as a former Wendys employee (18 yrs ago) chili meat was left over burgers that were not consumed or have been sitting on the grill for too long. we would hose the burnt burgers with water at the cleaning sink and store them in plastic bags for later use, chop and use them as the beef for the chili which was made up of canned beans, some white powder, water and old washed burgers
Worked for the racist pizza joint.. the manager would smoke in the walkin.. one of the drivers for the hut that was across the street was the managers dealer. The only female driver was a coke head and would blow lines while out on routs.. She would cut it up on top of customers boxes.. Be sure when calling in a delivery that you are polite to the person taking the order.. other workers would make sure to add hair to the topping list of any rude or drunk customers.. the hare did NOT come from the head area...

I can say for sure that the mc cafe/ smoothie thing is so disgusting! I worked for McDs years ago and there is so much contaminated food that comes out of it. It does not get cleaned properly between orders, it's an automated spray system the rinses the blender but it does not always come clean. The machines are not serviced probably and sometimes depending on the employee is half assed.
I worked for the state as a assistant health inspector. Kentucky fried chicken was really gross. On one occasion there was a no pest strip above the table where the chicken was prepared to be cooked. It was so full of flies they were dropping off on to the floured chicken. We had numerous problems with all these restaurants. Never again would I eat at a K.F.C.
It's because they need help dealing with rude and hateful customers. And they have to deal with hateful bosses. It's not as easy as people think. I lost 20 pounds while working at a fast food restaurant. I was always on the go. And if I got a break it was unusual. And other days going to the bathroom is hard to do. I got a urinary tract infection because I had to hold it for so long. Please be nice to them. They have to put up with a lot of crap.
Back in the 1967+ franchise Bloomington IN McDonald's days as a 16 old master old school grill man, the meat came fresh from a grocery store. The great French fries were made all day from very large potatoes. Milk shakes were made from fresh farm cream in large aluminum dairy cans returned. Something has changed with the fish and the pies. Root beer was made fresh. Mac sauce was made mixed daily. Clean clean clean and I never seen any kind of pests. Why are we paying so much more for premade lousy food at McDonald's and elsewhere. They are not always spit on. Only when the customer is being rude and hateful. I stopped one co worker from doing it even though the customer was being rude to me. Spitting on someone's food is wrong and gross.
3:39, that's regular business practices. They make near expired stuff on sale or clearanced so it can take top priority in leaving the shelves. At, that's the guess that makes sense.
As a tacobell worker I make sure our bathrooms are clean so next time you go to one and see that it’s clean make sure to tell the manager how satisfied you were! but on the other hand I make sure stuff is always clean fyi at our tb we never let things expire just because we are the only drive thru in our town so things get used faster but I’ll admit our manager he will make the beans and as many of you know you’re supposed to let them warm up in the hot fridge but he makes them puts them their for 10 mins and they come at watery and gross asf!!
Lol these are probably ex employees that got fired! I've been in the industry for years and yes there are a mishaps but mostly due to lack of cleanliness from workers. Do your job and keep shit clean and you'll have great food.
A couple years ago, in Miami, they put cameras in this particular bakery... the News Channel showed a male coming into work very early to start baking cakes, it showed the mixer machine with the ingredients mixing, and the guy proceeds to urinate into the mix, it actually was on the 6:00 News. That was the worst Most of us experienced..

Oh man where would I begin? I've worked in the cafeteria at one of the top colleges in the US, I've worked at one of the most popular burger restaurants in the country (at several locations), ive worked for popular concessions vendors at several state fairs and events, I've worked in upscale bistros in LA and artisan food trucks. I've seen alot and let me tell you it is everything these other people are telling you and more. And the reason being is that NOBODY CARES (except for one person) and all these places hire one guy who cares and busts his ass to do all the cleaning and pay attention to the details and then just rely on him while not doing shit. From fryers that don't get drained and cleaned for weeks, to people never cleaning cold tables and fridges filled with spilled food, to food prep areas that just get kinda hosed down and still have all kinds of wet rotting food In them after, to just dumping cleaner onto/Into equipment and then not rinsing it and having it mix with the food, not washing hands and touching food directly, cross contamination like a MF, being served undercooked food because it's too busy. And that's just the kitchen don't let me get started on the restrooms
43 years ago, I was only 20, after attending church, a friend and I walked past a Burger King, so I asked him if he would like to eat something there, to which he replied: No, you're not gonna make me go eat there, I worked at that place and you don't want to know what goes on in the back." One thing that stayed in my mind was poor hand washing. Remember, that was 43 years ago and I don't think things have improved, especially now, in a collapsed society with angry people at work.
You also have to be careful of those drink dispensers. At a restaurant I worked at we had to remove the plastic that covered the drink dispensers and scrub it with a brush and clean it real well because there was always Gunk stuck up in there from the drink dispenser. You might want to remove one of those plastic covers and look at it sometime make sure that nobody sees you.
My dog caught ringworm. I know it sounds like it's a type of worm but it isn't it's a skin condition that causes them to lose their hair leaves round spots where the hair falls out. I couldn't figure out where he possibly would have got it from he wasn't around any other dogs and I didn't have it. After scrubbing down everything in my house I realized that he got the ringworm from his water bowl. Use a large dog so his bowl is more like a bucket. When I refilled it I would just flash it around with my hand pour it out and then add fresh water. Who thought that a water boil not disinfected would cause ringworm well it did. Ringworm is a fungus so if they're not disinfecting their ice containers on a regular basis this fungus will grow in there and one thing that ringworm is is highly contagious and very difficult to get rid of. By the way his ringworm is completely gone and I disinfect his water bowl every week.
Don’t see how they are underpaid. Worked fast food during my sophomore year. Want more pay, go find a better job. Now work on cars and been doing so since junior year. It’s dirty, hot, dangerous to its own extent, but it is rewarding on payday
I worked in the food service industry for about 16 yrs , ive seen it all even up scale places are guilty ! But i once saw a roach jump into the soup. Yum !
Be careful if you do that (especially with a chili that has meat), when you refreeze and rethaw something over and over it raises the risk of having it contaminated by bacterias and get spoiled or even dangerous for your health basically!
Most fast food restaurant made gross food, I used to work for a fast food restaurant for quite a few years, and I'm about to write a book to rebel all the disgusting things I saw, and many healthy laws broken also.

7:49 KFC Employee here and I take some pride in what I do, I can tell you that I make sure that never happens, have a couple of horror stories myself but that was due to managerial incompetence, not due to sanitary reasons, and that never happens when I'm on shift. (And I make sure the other cooks follow the same standard.)
I worked at Taco Bell back in high school about 18 years ago. The meat does come in a plastic bag, but the employees don't add the seasoning, they put it in a steamer to warm up then dump it into a pan and serve it. I do recall the box reading %90 Soy and %10 Beef though lol. Everything comes pre-made just heat and go.
As a former Wendy's employee, I can vouch on the chili. They always tried to make me chop up the chili meat at the end of the night and store it in the fridge. I used to just leave because I didn't feel right doing it.
Every full-automatic coffee machine gunks up... They actually need a full service every month, but never get those because the manufacturer advices yearly (or twice yearly) service. Thats nothing unique with macdonalds. Cleaning the smoothy machine or coffeemachine insides with glasscleaner is quite smart: It contains loads of alchohol and other quick evaporating components which keep the insides relatively sterile without leaving a taste.
I don't really eat any fast food. My body rejects it if I ever try to. Panera, tropical smoothie,Chinese food and real pizza places (not chains) are some that never bother my stomach.
Not just the restaurants! The factory the food came from too! You almost have to grow your own food raise your own food to live safe😲 There's always going to be at least one fool working every place you go! And at least one person who is not going to clean up as properly as they should only you know for yourself if you do it yourself! 🤷
So I went to my local Burger King and yes. The guy who took my debit card, gave it back, and gave me my food had that "I've taken a whole bunch of pills, weed, and something else" glazed look. Like all of that was hittin him at that point.
When my friend worked at Dunkin Donuts she told me that behind the counter there would be old, rotting food underneath stuff on the floor that no one would clean up, bugs hanging out in empty cups and whatnot, and she said that someone had left raw dough out for too long and it went bad and the manager said to cook it anyway. I told her she needs to report them to health officials but she was too anxious to do so.
The cooked frozen hamburger patties used in Wendy's chilli are only stored for a month in the walk in freezer and thrown away if not used. I worked at a Wendy's for a long time, I was the person cooking the burgers, baking the potatoes, and preparing the chilli and Wendy's chilli Is still my favorite chilli
I work in a bakery chain. There’s mold in the walk in and other places and I’ve cleaned to ants under the bakers table 5-6 times now. I used to care but now I hate the place. My family won’t eat product from my work after all the stories I’ve told
I saw some bad behavior at my local Panda Express so I had a talk with the manager I asked him aren't your employee train in safe food handling practices, and I kid you not the manager shook his head and said nope they don't have such training. Yeah my jaw was on the floor
I worked at Domino's and 20yrs later at Papa John's, I heard stories that came from X and current employees that were just flat out lies that they think sound cool that they know something no one else knows And yes a cheese pizza has more cheese than a pepperoni pizza....except at Papa John's where the pepperoni is under the cheese.....if you want less cheese order the Pepperoni on top of the cheese......with the pepperoni on top you never notice the gaps in cheese And what most people DON'T know about pizza is.........cheese is the most expensive thing on a pizza And further.........with every additional topping you get less cheese.......if you order 5 toppings + xtra cheese you will get less cheese than on a cheese pizza......you will get a thin base of cheese....5 toppings(each topping also means less of each topping, except pepperoni) then sprinkled with cheese......then about half of xtra cheese This is just passing stories as truth from disgruntled employees.....probably fired for not following sanitary policies Don't know about starbucks......never go there, the coffee sucks.......but think about it what else could you make up about a coffee shop other than roaches
Probably 80% or more of fast food employees at ANY restaurant get high on the job. Anyone who doesn't know or believe that in incredibly naive. Between the ages of 16 and 26 I worked at least a dozen restaurant jobs including Olive Garden, McDonalds, Dominoes, Burger King, Carls Jr. Literally EVERY restaurant I've worked at has had at LEAST a couple employees that smoked weed.

It sounds like the someone's not cleaning those tea urns properly. When I worked at a Carl's jr we had to take them apart every night.

Worked at TBell, the meet smells bland, looks like chunky chili meat and only gives you diarrhea when they either pull it out early, or leave it out too long. Which are common tbh. But hopefully that explains it more.

Having worked at B.K in the early 80's, i can attest that our store was always kept clean. When we had a slow day, that meant cleaning tables, break room, public bathrooms, always keeping things clean. We'd even go outside to clean by the garbage dumpsters, and sweep the parking lot.

as a former Wendys employee (18 yrs ago) chili meat was left over burgers that were not consumed or have been sitting on the grill for too long. we would hose the burnt burgers with water at the cleaning sink and store them in plastic bags for later use, chop and use them as the beef for the chili which was made up of canned beans, some white powder, water and old washed burgers

Worked for the racist pizza joint.. the manager would smoke in the walkin.. one of the drivers for the hut that was across the street was the managers dealer. The only female driver was a coke head and would blow lines while out on routs.. She would cut it up on top of customers boxes.. Be sure when calling in a delivery that you are polite to the person taking the order.. other workers would make sure to add hair to the topping list of any rude or drunk customers.. the hare did NOT come from the head area...

I can say for sure that the mc cafe/ smoothie thing is so disgusting! I worked for McDs years ago and there is so much contaminated food that comes out of it. It does not get cleaned properly between orders, it's an automated spray system the rinses the blender but it does not always come clean. The machines are not serviced probably and sometimes depending on the employee is half assed.

I worked for the state as a assistant health inspector. Kentucky fried chicken was really gross. On one occasion there was a no pest strip above the table where the chicken was prepared to be cooked. It was so full of flies they were dropping off on to the floured chicken. We had numerous problems with all these restaurants. Never again would I eat at a K.F.C.

It's because they need help dealing with rude and hateful customers. And they have to deal with hateful bosses. It's not as easy as people think. I lost 20 pounds while working at a fast food restaurant. I was always on the go. And if I got a break it was unusual. And other days going to the bathroom is hard to do. I got a urinary tract infection because I had to hold it for so long. Please be nice to them. They have to put up with a lot of crap.

Back in the 1967+ franchise Bloomington IN McDonald's days as a 16 old master old school grill man, the meat came fresh from a grocery store. The great French fries were made all day from very large potatoes. Milk shakes were made from fresh farm cream in large aluminum dairy cans returned. Something has changed with the fish and the pies. Root beer was made fresh. Mac sauce was made mixed daily. Clean clean clean and I never seen any kind of pests. Why are we paying so much more for premade lousy food at McDonald's and elsewhere. They are not always spit on. Only when the customer is being rude and hateful. I stopped one co worker from doing it even though the customer was being rude to me. Spitting on someone's food is wrong and gross.

As a tacobell worker I make sure our bathrooms are clean so next time you go to one and see that it’s clean make sure to tell the manager how satisfied you were! but on the other hand I make sure stuff is always clean fyi at our tb we never let things expire just because we are the only drive thru in our town so things get used faster but I’ll admit our manager he will make the beans and as many of you know you’re supposed to let them warm up in the hot fridge but he makes them puts them their for 10 mins and they come at watery and gross asf!!

A couple years ago, in Miami, they put cameras in this particular bakery... the News Channel showed a male coming into work very early to start baking cakes, it showed the mixer machine with the ingredients mixing, and the guy proceeds to urinate into the mix, it actually was on the 6:00 News. Oh man where would I begin? I've worked in the cafeteria at one of the top colleges in the US, I've worked at one of the most popular burger restaurants in the country (at several locations), ive worked for popular concessions vendors at several state fairs and events, I've worked in upscale bistros in LA and artisan food trucks. I've seen alot and let me tell you it is everything these other people are telling you and more. And the reason being is that NOBODY CARES (except for one person) and all these places hire one guy who cares and busts his ass to do all the cleaning and pay attention to the details and then just rely on him while not doing shit. From fryers that don't get drained and cleaned for weeks, to people never cleaning cold tables and fridges filled with spilled food, to food prep areas that just get kinda hosed down and still have all kinds of wet rotting food In them after, to just dumping cleaner onto/Into equipment and then not rinsing it and having it mix with the food, not washing hands and touching food directly, cross contamination like a MF, being served undercooked food because it's too busy. And that's just the kitchen don't let me get started on the restrooms
43 years ago, I was only 20, after attending church, a friend and I walked past a Burger King, so I asked him if he would like to eat something there, to which he replied: No, you're not gonna make me go eat there, I worked at that place and you don't want to know what goes on in the back." One thing that stayed in my mind was poor hand washing. Remember, that was 43 years ago and I don't think things have improved, especially now, in a collapsed society with angry people at work.

You also have to be careful of those drink dispensers. At a restaurant I worked at we had to remove the plastic that covered the drink dispensers and scrub it with a brush and clean it real well because there was always Gunk stuck up in there from the drink dispenser. You might want to remove one of those plastic covers and look at it sometime make sure that nobody sees you.
My dog caught ringworm. I know it sounds like it's a type of worm but it isn't it's a skin condition that causes them to lose their hair leaves round spots where the hair falls out. I couldn't figure out where he possibly would have got it from he wasn't around any other dogs and I didn't have it. After scrubbing down everything in my house I realized that he got the ringworm from his water bowl. Use a large dog so his bowl is more like a bucket. When I refilled it I would just flash it around with my hand pour it out and then add fresh water. Who thought that a water boil not disinfected would cause ringworm well it did. Ringworm is a fungus so if they're not disinfecting their ice containers on a regular basis this fungus will grow in there and one thing that ringworm is is highly contagious and very difficult to get rid of. By the way his ringworm is completely gone and I disinfect his water bowl every week.

Why do people freak out about the chili? Literally everyone who has made chili knows you can freeze and reheat and it tastes awesome
Be careful if you do that (especially with a chili that has meat), when you refreeze and rethaw something over and over it raises the risk of having it contaminated by bacterias and get spoiled or even dangerous for your health basically!

KFC Employee here and I take some pride in what I do, I can tell you that I make sure that never happens, have a couple of horror stories myself but that was due to managerial incompetence, not due to sanitary reasons, and that never happens when I'm on shift.
(And I make sure the other cooks follow the same standard.)
I worked at Taco Bell back in high school about 18 years ago. The meat does come in a plastic bag, but the employees don't add the seasoning, they put it in a steamer to warm up then dump it into a pan and serve it. I do recall the box reading %90 Soy and %10 Beef though lol. Everything comes pre-made just heat and go.
As a former Wendy's employee, I can vouch on the chili. They always tried to make me chop up the chili meat at the end of the night and store it in the fridge. I used to just leave because I didn't feel right doing it.

Every full-automatic coffee machine gunks up... They actually need a full service every month, but never get those because the manufacturer advices yearly (or twice yearly) service. Thats nothing unique with macdonalds.
Cleaning the smoothy machine or coffeemachine insides with glasscleaner is quite smart: It contains loads of alchohol and other quick evaporating components which keep the insides relatively sterile without leaving a taste.

Not just the restaurants! The factory the food came from too! You almost have to grow your own food raise your own food to live safe😲 There's always going to be at least one fool working every place you go! And at least one person who is not going to clean up as properly as they should only you know for yourself if you do it yourself! 🤷

When my friend worked at Dunkin Donuts she told me that behind the counter there would be old, rotting food underneath stuff on the floor that no one would clean up, bugs hanging out in empty cups and whatnot, and she said that someone had left raw dough out for too long and it went bad and the manager said to cook it anyway. I told her she needs to report them to health officials but she was too anxious to do so.

The cooked frozen hamburger patties used in Wendy's chilli are only stored for a month in the walk in freezer and thrown away if not used. I worked at a Wendy's for a long time, I was the person cooking the burgers, baking the potatoes, and preparing the chilli and Wendy's chilli Is still my favorite chilli
I work in a bakery chain. There’s mold in the walk in and other places and I’ve cleaned to ants under the bakers table 5-6 times now. I used to care but now I hate the place. My family won’t eat product from my work after all the stories I’ve told
I saw some bad behavior at my local Panda Express so I had a talk with the manager I asked him aren't your employee train in safe food handling practices, and I kid you not the manager shook his head and said nope they don't have such training. Yeah my jaw was on the floor

And yes a cheese pizza has more cheese than a pepperoni pizza....except at Papa John's where the pepperoni is under the cheese.....if you want less cheese order the Pepperoni on top of the cheese......with the pepperoni on top you never notice the gaps in cheese
And what most people DON'T know about pizza is.........cheese is the most expensive thing on a pizza
And further.........with every additional topping you get less cheese.......if you order 5 toppings + xtra cheese you will get less cheese than on a cheese pizza......you will get a thin base of cheese....5 toppings(each topping also means less of each topping, except pepperoni) then sprinkled with cheese......then about half of xtra cheese

Probably 80% or more of fast food employees at ANY restaurant get high on the job. Anyone who doesn't know or believe that in incredibly naive. Between the ages of 16 and 26 I worked at least a dozen restaurant jobs including Olive Garden, McDonalds, Dominoes, Burger King, Carls Jr. Literally EVERY restaurant I've worked at has had at LEAST a couple employees that smoked weed.
