It was cold and tasteless. I told my hubby....I’m out! Don’t make it cool. Just cook it like you used to. It will blow up again.
We still use the same exact flame broilers. The only reason it was dry is cuz they gave meat that wasn't supposed to still be kept up probably. Call your local corporate office and tell them that they need to watch their personal heating unit drawer times.
The real problem with BK is simple: 1) Poor service - 50% of the time my order is wrong. 2) Inconsistency - Sometimes its awesome...sometimes it sucks. 3) Obvious corner cutting. - Small fries = Medium fries, and Large fries is not much larger than the "smedium" I love burgers... I love a fresh, and well made whopper... But its a massive crapshoot if you'll actually get 'fresh' or 'well made'
The REAL reason is because the "people" that primarily work there now have literally ZERO sense of urgency. They are too busy fighting with each other over petty comments about each other's hair and over who's cousin did what. I miss the 80s and 90s.
Where I live they’re closing the majority of the stores, and I haven’t eaten at a BK in years. The last several times I’ve been to a BK it’s been bad service, bad food and a dirty restaurant.
Yep! One local BK was about as clean as the central bus and rail station in downtown Fort Worth, especially the restrooms. But the BK is safer at night so that's a plus.

My burger king is filled with asian workers for some reason. Nothing wrong to do with their race but I assume it's a family that maybe owns that joint. They just slop the burgers together. Theyre just flattened and mushed on these really lackluster buns. Their pop tastes like tap and they have really red flagish deals on food. Such heavy discounts.
I don't know how it is everywhere but in my town there's been a huge increase in the number of local owned gastropubs, brewery/kitchens and other restaurants with a focus on locally grown product and house brewed beers. It's been embraced wholly by the community, nearby towns, as well as travellers. I really love that most of these businesses are opening shop in beautiful, old buildings thus saving the community from blight and giving entire blocks a new chance to thrive.
I must’ve ordered the Nightmare King burger by accident last time I ate at Burger King. I had projectile vomit and a high fever for a week afterwards. The doctor called it food poisoning but it was definitely a nightmare!

Ugh, seriously. I went in there sometime last year, just wanting to try the chicken parmesan. The staff kept me waiting forever before they'd even ask me for my damn order. Also, their soda machine didn't have ice, AND the soda was warm as shit. Thankfully, they could still get ice if you asked at the counter, though it didn't help that it melted quickly with how warm the soda was.

The reason they're failing in the uk is that their restaurants are run down and look shabby. The toilets are a mess and usually have broken locks and hand dryers. They only seem to have two members of staff on at anytime which means you get huge queues at busy times. they don't seem to maintain their restaurants. Their Lincoln restaurant has no heating, Sleaford the door sticks and people don't bother to close it so it gets cold in there. The prices are too high unless you're using the vouchers you get off the app. They barely have any drive thrus in the uk. My closest one is 30 miles away

Same in Norway. There are two Burger Kings in my town, and both are pretty dirty. One of them, however, is filthy. Dirty tables, dirty floors, surfaces. The fries are soggy and half the time come out cold. The burgers are pretty good though.
I was driving to work one day when I had a severe case of gastrointestinal distress. I took the next exit and stopped into BK as I was afraid I would unload in my pants otherwise. I got inside went directly into the bathroom. The place was so filthy I said hell no and turned around. I lost the race that day but I still have no regrets about avoiding their bathroom.

I am actually one of the few people who ate at BK. Once they got woke, I never returned -- not once -- and never will. Also, I've noticed a considerable reduction in episodes of projectile diarrhea. Coincidence? I don't think so.

BK never gets my order right, it's a chore to have to circle back around and run inside to have them fix the order or have them finish it so as to actually get all that was paid for. I went to burger the other day with family and we we’re all disappointed. The only reason we ended up there is because we were on a road trip and Burger King was, sadly, the closest thing. Their prices are higher than McDonalds but the flavor and quality was just bad, like really bad. They drown those burgers in mayo and ketchup too… I wasn’t aware of that since it’s been literally a decade since I’ve had them. I remember them being so good growing up.
I used to take advantage of BK's promise to give you a fresh burger even if you ordered it in the morning. It was true for a while, but all of a sudden about a year ago each burger I ordered was obviously old (from the day before?), and it happened at multiple BK's. One worker told me not to order a burger in the morning (approx. 8 AM).
Went to two different burger kings for their chicken sandwich as advertised on t.v. and both charged me more than the commercial stated. When I pointed this out to the managers one claimed it was app. only and the other said they were not a participating restaurant. This was a major televised ad for their company on all major stations! They refused to honor it just to make an extra buck! I wondered if every burger king in So. Cal. would do this, but I wasn't about to try to find out. Instead I cancelled my order from both places and cancelled b.k. for life. No wonder they're having problems!
I started avoiding BK after they bought out Tim Horton's and moved their corporate HQ to Canada to pay less tax. I try to speak with my wallet when it comes to companies that are not good for our country or its workers. The more I get informed, the bigger my chit list grows.
Yeah corporate employees have about 1 million in stocks while the employees working in BK don't make enough to even buy 1 stock what a shame. BK in Abilene Texas pays 10.00 an hour in 2021 that's not crap.
Old stores, in old locations, dirty stores, out of date marketing, however a few restaurants are clean as it's about the management and employees at each restaurant.

In some ways I guess the Impossible Whopper idea is great, but they just didn't think it through. The broiler that they're cooked on is the only broiler in the store, and is normally used for beef burgers so there is that. In order to do it correctly Impossible Whoppers would have to have their own dedicated broiler. That would be a pretty large investment and for some stores not even doable because of space issues. I worked for 4 company owned and two franchise stores. The company owned stores have fantastic, mandatory cleaning, sanitizing, food handling, cooking temp and refrigeration unit procedures. Most, if not all customers wouldn't have a clue as to what they are and what kind of freshness difference they can make. Those procedures are of course put in place and followed up by mgmt personnel. Some may do a great job doing so, while others may not. It depends on that store's standards. The training is there, so they either follow it or not.
Besides the declining quality, they're way overpriced. $13 for a Whopper is beyond ridiculous. For less than that, I can get two burgers at a little hole in the wall place right down the road from me.
Here on the west coast of Canada, their employees struggle to speak english, aren't well trained, restaurants aren't all that clean, and most of all, the food is high priced and not all that good.
Used to work at Arby's, it was policy to short change you on everything where I worked they even set the tare on the scale so it would show 1oz unladen so you could be missing anywhere from 25%-50% of your sandwich. I usually gave extra of everything or reset the scale much to the boss's annoyance. I was hoping to push him to the point he actually yelled at me, and customer would find out about the ripoff. Also the slicer was designed in such a way that an area awfully close to the food contact surfaces, couldn't be accessed to be properly cleaned. I'm not sure if thats how the company as whole operates, wouldn't surprise me tho

Burger King used to be my first choice for a quick bite. I loved the taste of the flame broiled burgers. I stopped going for a long time because so many of their stores here in Ottawa, Canada have shut down. Earlier this year, we decided to find one that was still open for some nostalgia. It was a terrible experience.It wasn't wheelchair accessible at all. My daughter couldn't even get close to a table, she could barely get in the restaurant. Then they screwed up our order by giving us the wrong burgers and they wouldn't make us new ones. They threw some cheese and bacon on the burgers they already gave us, but that didn't make it what we had ordered. They refused to fix it. The quality of the food wasn't what we remembered from BK either. Not surprising was the fact that we were the only customers in the restaurant. We aren't going back. When we want a burger, we try to find a Harvey's.
During the 90s bk was the best had amazing fries and their menu was awesome. They actually kept their restraunts pretty clean too. Now they lost their identity.

The Impossible Burger is targeting flexitarians, not vegans. A flexitarian simply wants to reduce meat intake, not eliminate it entirely, and therefore won’t care if the Impossible Burger is cooked on the same grill as meat.
And therefore missing the whole direction the market is going in. It's weird to start with that they're the only major chain that doesn't have a main vegetarian option, and then they fail to offer it yet again, despite there being no reason not to.

The biggest problem with BK is that their food is always bad. It’s always sub par, pretty bad and not that hot and fresh half the time. Food obviously sits around a lot.

The reason they're failing in the uk is that their restaurants are run down and look shabby. The toilets are a mess and usually have broken locks and hand dryers. They only seem to have two members of staff on at anytime which means you get huge queues at busy times. they don't seem to maintain their restaurants. Their Lincoln restaurant has no heating, Sleaford the door sticks and people don't bother to close it so it gets cold in there. The prices are too high unless you're using the vouchers you get off the app. They barely have any drive thrus in the uk. My closest one is 30 miles away
I was about to say the same thing about the US. They look rundown here too. Makes me worried about how much they care about cleanliness making the food.
Same in Norway. There are two Burger Kings in my town, and both are pretty dirty. One of them, however, is filthy. Dirty tables, dirty floors, surfaces. The fries are soggy and half the time come out cold. The burgers are pretty good though.
Oh, and forgot to mention. Overpriced!
There's a burger king by my high school everyone walks half a mile past to go to taco bell instead.
I was driving to work one day when I had a severe case of gastrointestinal distress. I took the next exit and stopped into BK as I was afraid I would unload in my pants otherwise. I got inside went directly into the bathroom. The place was so filthy I said hell no and turned around. I lost the race that day but I still have no regrets about avoiding their bathroom.

The few times I went to different BK locations, the cheese wasn’t even melted on my burger! Literally a cold slice of cheese.
If a burger chain can’t do the simple task of melting the cheese on a cheeseburger, they don’t deserve to stay in business.

I am actually one of the few people who ate at BK. Once they got woke, I never returned -- not once -- and never will. Also, I've noticed a considerable reduction in episodes of projectile diarrhea. Coincidence? I don't think so.

BK never gets my order right, it's a chore to have to circle back around and run inside to have them fix the order or have them finish it so as to actually get all that was paid for. It's also lame to pay so much money for subpar food, why pay nearly $10 for chain corporation fast food when we can go spend less for more and higher quality elsewhere?
I went to burger the other day with family and we we’re all disappointed. The only reason we ended up there is because we were on a road trip and Burger King was, sadly, the closest thing. Their prices are higher than McDonalds but the flavor and quality was just bad, like really bad. They drown those burgers in mayo and ketchup too… I wasn’t aware of that since it’s been literally a decade since I’ve had them. I remember them being so good growing up.
I used to take advantage of BK's promise to give you a fresh burger even if you ordered it in the morning. It was true for a while, but all of a sudden about a year ago each burger I ordered was obviously old (from the day before?), and it happened at multiple BK's. One worker told me not to order a burger in the morning (approx. 8 AM).

Went to two different burger kings for their chicken sandwich as advertised on t.v. and both charged me more than the commercial stated. When I pointed this out to the managers one claimed it was app. only and the other said they were not a participating restaurant. This was a major televised ad for their company on all major stations! They refused to honor it just to make an extra buck! I wondered if every burger king in So. Cal. would do this, but I wasn't about to try to find out. Instead I cancelled my order from both places and cancelled b.k. for life. No wonder they're having problems!

I started avoiding BK after they bought out Tim Horton's and moved their corporate HQ to Canada to pay less tax. I try to speak with my wallet when it comes to companies that are not good for our country or its workers. The more I get informed, the bigger my chit list grows.
Yeah corporate employees have about 1 million in stocks while the employees working in BK don't make enough to even buy 1 stock what a shame. BK in Abilene Texas pays 10.00 an hour in 2021 that's not crap.
20 minute drive through waits have caused me to pass on B.K , at least that's how it is my area .

Old stores, in old locations, dirty stores, out of date marketing, however a few restaurants are clean as it's about the management and employees at each restaurant.

Most of the McDonald's I've gone to seemed clean. Cleaner than most fast food places I've been to (specifically BK and Jack ITB).

In some ways I guess the Impossible Whopper idea is great, but they just didn't think it through. The broiler that they're cooked on is the only broiler in the store, and is normally used for beef burgers so there is that. In order to do it correctly Impossible Whoppers would have to have their own dedicated broiler. That would be a pretty large investment and for some stores not even doable because of space issues. I worked for 4 company owned and two franchise stores. The company owned stores have fantastic, mandatory cleaning, sanitizing, food handling, cooking temp and refrigeration unit procedures. Most, if not all customers wouldn't have a clue as to what they are and what kind of freshness difference they can make. Those procedures are of course put in place and followed up by mgmt personnel. Some may do a great job doing so, while others may not. It depends on that store's standards. The training is there, so they either follow it or not.

Besides the declining quality, they're way overpriced. $13 for a Whopper is beyond ridiculous. For less than that, I can get two burgers at a little hole in the wall place right down the road from me.
Here on the west coast of Canada, their employees struggle to speak english, aren't well trained, restaurants aren't all that clean, and most of all, the food is high priced and not all that good.

Used to work at Arby's, it was policy to short change you on everything where I worked they even set the tare on the scale so it would show 1oz unladen so you could be missing anywhere from 25%-50% of your sandwich. I usually gave extra of everything or reset the scale much to the boss's annoyance. I was hoping to push him to the point he actually yelled at me, and customer would find out about the ripoff. Also the slicer was designed in such a way that an area awfully close to the food contact surfaces, couldn't be accessed to be properly cleaned. I'm not sure if thats how the company as whole operates, wouldn't surprise me tho
I like Wendy's better too. Better food and cleaner. Arby's is also good, and cleaner.

However, it still doesn't explain how the slang term "Macca's" came to be. There is no "A" between the "M" and the "C" in the spelling of the name. Even more confusing is the family name "McDonald" is pronounced "Mickdonald". I could understand "Macca's" being slang term if the speliing was "MacDonald's". Burger King used to be my first choice for a quick bite. I loved the taste of the flame broiled burgers. I stopped going for a long time because so many of their stores here in Ottawa, Canada have shut down. Earlier this year, we decided to find one that was still open for some nostalgia. It was a terrible experience.It wasn't wheelchair accessible at all. My daughter couldn't even get close to a table, she could barely get in the restaurant. Then they screwed up our order by giving us the wrong burgers and they wouldn't make us new ones. They threw some cheese and bacon on the burgers they already gave us, but that didn't make it what we had ordered. They refused to fix it. The quality of the food wasn't what we remembered from BK either. Not surprising was the fact that we were the only customers in the restaurant. We aren't going back. When we want a burger, we try to find a Harvey's.
During the 90s bk was the best had amazing fries and their menu was awesome. They actually kept their restraunts pretty clean too. Now they lost their identity.

I actually don’t care about the mentality of a restaurant, I just want my food to taste good, to be unique among others, and that’s where I believe BK is lacking against their competitors, they try too hard on the publicity and forget about the food.
Had Burger King for the first time in years today and it was beyond disgusting. Their food quality has gone to shits. The fries are not the same. They weren’t even salted. The burger had no taste. I see why they’re going downhill.
How about going back and researh more on basic items like better meat patty, fries, hashbrowns, and onion rings. Make their products tastier and bettet than their competitors.

The Impossible Burger is targeting flexitarians, not vegans. A flexitarian simply wants to reduce meat intake, not eliminate it entirely, and therefore won’t care if the Impossible Burger is cooked on the same grill as meat.
And therefore missing the whole direction the market is going in. It's weird to start with that they're the only major chain that doesn't have a main vegetarian option, and then they fail to offer it yet again, despite there being no reason not to.
