Thank You JP, this was one of the best video I have seen here on youtube, we all saw the entire railroading action in about 8 min or so, but I do know that alot of time and effort went into this, so Thank You once again.....
I loved the Zephyr and the locomotive puller was my favorite locomotive, With the Amtrak-isation of this great train it lost something. Are the Zephyr cars in a museum, it would kill me to find out they were busted up for scrap
The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in Ohio just aquired 4 Zephyr cars to be used for their excursions. They will make their debut run at the end of September.
Great video of rail.action in the intermountain west with former road names from the past. Two thumbs 👍!
Great old stuff! Love the smoke.
Finally, sounds of 244's going full out run 8.
What an amazing video! Thanks for posting this!
Awesome Footage!

Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed the clip. There is much more to see on the DVD
Sounds like a Nathan M3. You don't hear that sound much anymore. God bless!
Sounds like the horn from Runaway Train.
Fantastic videos. The only way it could be better is if it had the dates listed. Even the month and year would be great.
0:40 That M3 sounds exactly like 101’s M3.
Just a question. Why are three powered units needed to move such a short passenger train?
@StoneTrainz944 Thanks for the compliments by the way

Great video, I have a silly question: Why 3 diesel units for 6 cars?
If you are talking about at 6:12 there are more cars than that. Just gotta look hard farther to the right you will see them.
@jgehbrr You're quite welcome!
Awesome footage (again)!
Do you, by any chance, know what type of horn is on #17 blown at 2:53? Thanks!
I would have to ask the original photographer. I'll get back to you on this when I have an answer.
Very nice film work and beautiful color and decent sound!! 16mm? From the mid 1970's? What telecine do you use?
A very worn out of tune M3.
