I would love to see more masculine saddles and vase arrangements. It seems like it’s so hard to find flowers for men’s graves that aren’t red, white or blue.
Hi June! Yes, when Dylan is making a Saddle to sell or for a customer he uses hot glue on the tips of each stem. During his videos for us he does not glue the pieces for time purposes.
Hi Jenny! Dylan cuts his flowers to their full length off of the floral bush and then uses them throughout the Saddle. He will use the longest stem in the center and then work his way down in size on each side.
@@ellishomeandgarden It looks like he's snipping off additional inches before putting them into the foam. Cut from the bouquet at full length, then snip again to a desired length is what I'm getting. I was wondering about various lengths, too as I'm sitting here right now, about to make one. Thanks.
He generally puts the longest stem in the center and then works his way down in size. He may trim the stems additionally if he needs to alternate which flower is next in the saddle or cone to alternate the pattern. He is only eye-balling the size of height of the stems based on the height of the stem that it is going next to. We apologize that we don't have exact measurements for you regarding this.
