Rio is an amazing destination. Worked there almost 20 years ago, commuting from Santiago. Love the food, Caipirinhas, weather, beaches and relaxed atmosphere.
I only have been on Cristo once. My mum’s take me around sunset time and was one of the most incredible experiences that a have with her. No many people, a cool breeze, and of course a amazing sunset. Has been 10 years since, and I always will remember that moment of our trip. I live In São Paulo and is close to Rio soo once a year i go there. I don’t think In going to Cristo ever again because it’s expensive and I wanna keep that beautiful moment in my memory.

Hey, guys. Amazing video. Congratulations. I'm Brazilian and I lived in Copacabana, Rio for 3 years. One thing worth mentioning is the "Pau Brasil", it is one of the big trees that is exposed in the Botanical Garden. This tree was the plant that gave rise to the name of Brazil. The name was given by Portuguese sailors during the discovery of Brazil due to the abundance of this tree, which was very economically exploited in the discovery of Brazil in 1500.

Haha when we went to see Christ it was super foggy. Occasionally he would pop out from the clouds, and everyone would cheer and try to get pictures. Was funny. This was back in 2016.
😂 It's stories like that that are sometimes more memorable than if it were a beautiful non-cloudy day!
I totally understand that. Megan and I are notorious for visiting places on the wrong day. Years ago, we climbed the Haiku Stairs in Oahu, as we were told you could see the entire island from the top. We were in a cloud the whole time. The next day.....perfectly clear. But like she commented, sometimes those experiences are the most memorable.

Did you guys carry your passports around while doing the day trips? Some countries require you to have your IDs on you at all times right? On the other hand, there's the risk that your bag may get stolen especially in a place like Rio along with everything inside. What did you guys do?
We'll usually carry a paper copy of our passports and have our US ID's on us. While you can't always control the environment around you, you can always be mindful. Safe travels!
