Actually you can also create reference image and parent (link) it to the camera. So the image always perpendicular to the camera view. And then press "N" - View - Camera to View, so you rotate the camera like in perspective mode, and adjust the view manually.
Hi Nik, amazing work! I’m looking to learn the photomatch technique to design organic surfaces, then unfold them for plasma cutting to produce steel bases similar to 'Flowyline' designs. Could you make a small course or tutorial on this workflow in Linux? I’m willing to pay for it. Thanks!
After not touching blender since version 2.79, I got a new project handed to me. With old files, bad photos and no time left, I just got the perspective plotter addon. It was so easy to use, it's really amazing. I had used fspy in the past, but having fspy directly in blender, life updating the camera, be able to create quick models to test the look and feel of the size and perspective, all that with a 15$ price tag? Breathtaking. Thanks for the video.
Hello I come from Vietnam. Your video is very good and useful, it helps me a lot in my work. Sincerely thank you and wish you more health and success in your work
Awesome. Thanks a lot mate, good tutorial. Straight to the point and covers everything. Fspy doesn't seem to be working in Blender anymore (3.x) so I bought the perspective plotter. Money well spent.
this is great, however as many of these perspective videos i can find, i cannot find any videos that demonstrate how to take multiple photos of an object, like a helmet or face, and create a matchmove scene that allows you to toggle from image to image to sculpt/model that item.
Solution: fspy doesn't show up in addons even though message popup says installed. I had to scroll down to "Getting Started" on github page and click "Download the latest version (make sure you download the file called fSpy-Blender-x.y.z.zip". the directions you show downloaded "fspy-blender-master". which did not work.
the new addon (plotter) seams interesting, but I don't see the mid point feature you have in FSPY (the one where you can have to point the third axis Z).
Hey there. Is there a method in Blender, similar to 3DS Max, where you can use reference points on geometry and at the reference image to create a rendercam??
hi, when i click on the "plot perspective" button, the lines are not showing. I realized I still can tweak them but they're invisible and that's impossible to work with. Any suggestion on how should I solve this problem? thx u so much
There was addon for blender for free, and I think, that perspective plotter is using that old addon from the past, and this is not new, it change owner.
Get in touch with us via info@configurate.net as Perspective Plotter and Blender should be able to do this: Perhaps the Measure Line feature will help? See perspective-plotter.readthedocs.io/en/latest/settings.html#along-x-y-z-axis
@Configurate Modeling an object from a photo that's been plotted, I move the white dot to place the origin at desired place. Then should I rotate the camera to align the angles further OR rotate the establishing geometry itself to align it with the photo, then model in that rotated state? Does it matter? It seems changing the placement of the camera would throw off the settings Pplotter just attained.
Does anyone know a tool to match the perspective of photos of organic objects? (by organic I mean objects with no straight lines like fabric bags, cushions, rounded objects and what not)

Perfect! I found fspy recently, but the add-on looks more intuitive. Thanks
This is the first time I pay for a blender add-on and I'm happy because it seems worth it, thanks for sharing

Just got both add ons...couldn't hurt to have both tools 🤣! Great video, mate!
The perspective plotter does hurt. 15$ for an add on. 🤯🤯
I installed it, but I can't enable it. I'm using Blender 2.90.
THANKS for showing both! i just was looking for fspy one, straight into the point! subbed
The fSpy Blender addon doesn't seem to work with Blender v3.2

My problem is to get the fspy Add On installed. Doesn´t work in 3.1.2 and 3.4.0...
Try to install the previous version of fSpy addon. I had the problem that it didn't want to install but now it is going well

Kinda crazy just how much you can do with Blender.

Is there any way to correct the barrel distortion somehow.
fspy allows you to scale the scene with correct units

You have to guess those perspective lines. That is pretty hard to do.
The problem with fspy is that once you close it. You cant edit the file.
can't seem to render anything nothing shows

Fspy is abandoned and dead, does not work with current blender versions at all.
How can we solve that????
@ you can’t. You probably will have to use the other tools.
@@Weebletmon but we can use p.plotter but the background image is not visible in render

Fspy wont install on blender 3.3. Bullshit
If you need accuracy, this addons doesn't help you mutch! Imagemodeler is better!
this addon is not free
fspy not working in 3.5
