John Deere 520 & 730 Diesel Turning Ground | Two-Cylinders Still Earning Their Keep

Plowing ground to plant alfalfa using a 1958 John Deere 520 and 1960 John Deere 730 Diesel. The two-bottom plow is a John Deere 44H with 16-inch bottoms, and the three-bottom is a John Deere F630 with 16-inch bottoms.

I just got my 520 out a couple of days ago with the JD #5 Caster Wheel Power Mower and did a little mowing. Always fun to be able to use the old iron.

Nice, we also have a JD #5 Mower that spent many hours behind this 520. Absolutely, using them here and there is the best thing for them!

My dad and used to do a lot of plowing with both a 520 and a 730. We always used rollover plows. My boys have the tractors now as I already had a 520 and a 720 when my dad passed.
Your field turned out really great and brought back a lot of memories.

Nice 730 looks good with all the weights Mabe alittle too much plow for the 520 but you’re doing great with you got. That’s tough ground to roll over

Thats about as nice a 730 you can get!!!! Not many have dual remotes.
