Hi Miss lori . I put you on the first thing in the morning and watch your videos over and over as I do housework. I am a 73 year old widower and you and Mr Brown keep me company all day long. Love your receipes alot. God Bless.
Ms Lori.. you and Mr Brown are so peaceful and easy going.. have you always been this way or if not, what would you say has kept you so grounded?. I immediately feel a sense of calm when I watch your videos. ❤️🙏❤️
They remind me of me and my husband. We were meant for each other. He was my perfect mate. He died from cancer at 34. We married young and had our fifteenth anniversary before he passed away. That's been 35 years ago. I never remarried but, I've been content because I had something that a lot of people that live together for years never no anything about... contentment... God has been so good to me! I believe that Mr Brown and Mrs Lori are God's chosen perfect mates!
This was a masterpiece of a banana cream pie. I always tell my wife that I’m a pie man but she wont cook lol. She’s still a good woman though. My maw maw always made pies. Peanut butter pie, chocolate pie, coconut cream pie with pineapples and pecans, lemon meringue, key lime, punkin pie during holidays. There ain’t nothing better than a fat slab of homemade pie. And let’s not forget the king of them all- Apple Pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
I’m making your wonderful bread and butter pickles today. While they sit in the refrigerator with the 2 tablespoons of salt, I sat down and low and behold I found you making a banana cream pie. Glorious!! My next adventure!
Girl, I go so into watching you make that pie that I almost licked my own finger to get the whipped cream off. I really enjoy watching you and Mr. Brown.
You have a sweet soul, enjoy visiting with you Ms Lori Thank you for sharing love the chocolate crust with nuts, banana pudding and chocolate crust yummy. 👍🥰😊❤🙏
I remember watching my Mamaw make homemade banana pudding like this and she always save me some and left it so I cld dip the vanilla wafers in it..... Thanks for bringing back memories of my childhood...... God bless you and your family......
Miss Lori you don't know how glad I am that you are teaching people how to make a honest to goodness homemade bannana cream pie. Almost every video people are using boughten boxed vanilla pudding. There is such a difference in taste. Homemade is the best. You do it the exact same way my momma taught me. Thank you.
So glad to hear you say "Icebox". My adult kids always tease me about this word. Mom, it's "Refrigerator". My Grandkids used to get confused when I'd ask them to get something out of the Icebox.
It's so true....when I miss my Mom and Dad...who have passed on when I was young... I love to listen to you and Mr. Brown....I am learning so many new things and I feel peace and love from you both....and I don't feel so alone....hearing your loving voice. Love YA'LL......Bella and my horse Ramirez...he's family💖💖💖🐎
My friends watch you now too. Bella 🐎💕🐎💋💋💋 They got tired of me saying watch Ms. Lori..We all lost our parents young and they feel the same as I do. The peace of your home. Bella and her adoptive gang.😘😘😘
What a GREAT idea for the crust! It would never have occured to me to use a chcolate crust! That, and all the banana pieces inside took this one right over the top! And I'm sure the homemade whipped cream was truly divine! I've GOTTA try this! Thanks so much, Miss Lori! God bless!
Ha, I was walking through my kitchen earlier and looked at the bananas we bought two days ago. I thought to myself, "gotta do something with these before they ripen too much but not have to use oven." Great timing! TFS and God bless.
Loved the laripin comment. There might be a lot that doesn’t know what that means but this old country girl does. When you and Mr Brown are on, it reminds me of home and days gone by. May God continue to bless you both and your channel and I’ll be right here!
As I sit here watching this my mind travels back to the old Toddle House ice box pies, banana cream, coconut cream (my favorite in all the world), chocolate cream and strawberry cream. We didn’t get them very often because of the cost but when my aunt and uncle came to visit from Michigan we knew we were going to be getting Toddle House pies! My Uncle Bill LOVED those pies and there must not have been any Toddle Houses where they lived. So when they came to visit us, he and my Uncle David would always go to Toddle House and come back with about 10 or 15 pies, 2 or 3 of each flavor and we would dig in! I am 72 now and that is one of my best childhood memories!!! I have searched and searched the internet for their official recipe of the coconut but to no avail. Anyway thanks for stirring up a very special memory. By the way, fresh whipped whip cream beats merengue any day! Yum!!! I can just eat that by itself! Thanks again.
Hey Miss Lori, I'm a Bahamian and I just love watching you cook and talk. It brings back wonderful memories of my grandmother in the kitchen. She was a fantastic cook just like you! I really love you and Mr Brown!!!!!!
I had a big smile when said like I say it's just about that easy... You have got to get stickers or tee shirts that say. I think I was the first to tell you that. You know I will buy one. Love you. Great video.
Ms Lori, you tickle me to the point I have to make this, My Nana used to make this for all the grandchildren, when went to her house for Sunday Dinner, wow it brought back such great memories. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Miss Lori, although I'm a woman of a certain age, I love to watch you cook. It's almost like having a downtime visit with a good friend. Thank you for your content. Blessings to you & Mr. Brown.
I just love you two so much! I feel like I'm heading home to my aunt and uncle's farm in Nebraska with each episode. I spent many summers there truly living God's good country life. I can't wait to get out of Commiefornia one day and return to my family's roots in the country. I'm a teacher and after the most difficult school year on record, I've been a hermit at home trying to recover from all the craziness! Your videos are glorious sunshine and a beautiful rainbow after a rough storm (which is a rumbing again!). Thank you for being such a blessing and for making all the wonderful memories of my life and family float back to the surface. You're a gift from the Lord!! God bless y'all! 🥰❤🙌🇺🇸
Spending time with you is so relaxing. It means so much. I live in a busy city and when I watch your vlogs it is like being with family members who have passed on. Please know how much you are appreciated. xoxoxox
Mrs. Lori the banana cream pie looks "Delicious " I just gained 20 lbs just watching you make it! hehehe. Thank you for always keeping me company too!! Love you both
I love banana cream pie, and yours looks wonderful. Sometimes I'll mash up some bananas into a puree and add to the cooked pudding in addition to the sliced bananas in the pie. That's awesome too!
Wonderful program! It feels like you're family. Turned on your program after garden work last night. The weather has been so dry,, I have been watering at night on the hottest days. It was great to unwind and learn how to make this recipe. 💛
I just recently discovered your channel and love it. You remind me so much of my favorite aunt who passed away a few years ago unexpectedly. My family is from rural north FL and that's where I get my love of country cooking.
I haven’t seen banana cream pie assembled that way before, with the pudding piled on top of the bananas. So much easier, and emphasizes the bananas. I like whipped cream better than meringue, and I think it’s safer too. Overall an absolutely scrumptious recipe, and a lovely interlude in your kitchen. Thank you. ♥️
Mr Brown, you have married an Angel. She lowers my BP just listening to her voice. I’m getting ready to for a double ambulation , heart surgery. Thank you, I love watching your podcast. I need to listen to you sermons on the pond.
I remember helping granny Treat before Thanksgiving. She would make a large pot of the base then divide it up for coconut, pineapple and chocolate pies...thanks for helping me remember...
Ms Lori & Mr Brown i had to drop a note to you letting you know how I look forward to your cooking show, I'm in northern California in the hills retired rancher and granma, I totally can relate to all your ways and I like the old ways too, I watch you all the time you guys warm my heart, and most nights I fall asleep right after your guys tasting your awesome creations, well I'm hittin the hay, best to you both !
I do the same thing. I love listening to ya'll while I'm in my kitchen. I miss having fellowship with older wiser women. Thank you for being such a blessing.
Whenever I make pudding I add the egg yolks in with the dry ingredients, mix it all up, then add the milk. It works the same but eliminates a step & another dirty dish. Just sayin. Love watching ur videos & such good recipes ❤️🌺
thats me....i feel good when i watch you...your the kind of folks i like i like cllard valley cooks alot,,too,, and our green acres....i dont make videos,,i watch and love to speak to you thru commrnting....
I have never made homemade pudding. I am going to give it a try as soon as my stitches come out😁 I always keep pie crust on hand also. I really like that they have finally come out with new ones. I love the walnut one. I am due for a restock and I am going to have to go with my husband shopping. He has been doing the shopping since covid, so it's better if I go once a month to get the special items I need for baking. Ms Lori, you need a t-shirt in your store with your famous saying on it.😁 Lol!!! I always have to leave a little bit of whatever I am making, so it can be tasted. When my kids where little, they called it( lick the bowl) They would shout out from different rooms in the house of who got to kick the bowl first. My husband is glad, now it's all his. I am so glad you showed how to temper eggs. I have never done that either. Thank you!! 😊 👍❤
YUM !!! Looks good !!! I love Banana Cream pie with the whipped topping ...I just made one on Tuesday, for just me and my hubby and we have one piece each left for after dinner !!!
Miss Lori that Banana Cream pie looks delicious 😋 Yummy 😋. I’m with you about the bananas being green !! Those bananas you used were perfect . Thanks for sharing . Have a wonderful weekend . God Bless 🙏
I cant get enough of your videos you have an amazing charm and you remind me of my mom so much I could watch you every day all day..I hope you and Mr Brown have many years making videos.
Hi friend. Just relaxing this evening and listening to your soothing voice make delicious recipes. OK I’m binge watching you just a little bit lol. Hubby and I just bought a restaurant! I want to incorporate pies during the holidays. Banana cream pie is not one that I have figured out how to make yet so I’m listening to you and making notes. Love you loads!
Hi Miss Laurie, that is a wonderful pie. The reason Cool Whip doesn't separate is because it's processed oil. There is no cream in it......but it's still handy to keep in the freezer.
Woo doggies, that pie looks good! I'm with you, Mrs. Lori. No green nanners. I haven't seen that pie crust in my store but will hunt it down somehow. Thanks for the lesson
That looks delicious!!! I love banana cream pie! Just a tip that I found.. if you add a small amount of cream cheese- about a tablespoon to your whipped cream it will help stabilize it without it becoming cream cheese tasting. It just adds the right amount to help! 😊
Mrs. Lori, your homemade banana cream pie truly looks DELISH, with the real whipped creme topping and the cooked pudding part. Never would've thought to use a chocolate pie crust, but I bet the flavor addition kicked the taste of the pie up a few notches! I cannot wait to make one of these pies the next time my son and his family come for dinner. He does not like very many desserts, but will always eat banana cream pie or pudding. By the way, your short hair looks so, so pretty, and makes you look a lot younger, too!
Lori, I have those stainless steel bowls "German Bowls" they were called. Because my arthritis is so bad in my hands and wrists, I lift that ring up, put my thumb in the ring and grasp the inside of the bowl with my thumb and my fingers spread out against the outside of the bowl. The ring helps support the weight of the bowl and it's contents. It just helps so much, especially with the larger bowls.
I have said this before but since you brought it up.... I work from home and my job can get sooooooo stressful... so I put you on... and the intro starts to settle me and your voice next to me is so calming... I can’t watch because I am typing away... but your VOICE is so calming... ☺️
Looks good i make coconut cream pie I haven't made banana cream pie yet but I'm going to try to make it thanks for sharing it God bless you and Mr Brown
That looked delicious, Ms. Lori. Mr. Brown will love that. Mr. Brown quoting scripture while fishing the other day was heart warming to me. He definitely has a voice that will keep your attention. I loved it and it is one of my favorite. Stay safe everyone COVID is raising it’s head again heavy in our area. 💕
I’m so sorry to hear that Kathryn Reed. This has certainly been such an unpredictable virus. Prayers going forth for you and your family and certainly everyone in your area as well. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Ms Lori love the recipe, I'll be trying that out in the UK. What a surprise you have legs! We rarely see you from the countertop down. Just love to watch you& Mr Brown, your both such a joy to follow. Sending love, hugs and blessings x
Ohh I love the leftovers too!! It’s a beautiful pie Lori😊. Trying to lose weight and doing TH-cam cooking is IMPOSSIBLE!! I keep saying-I have to find homes for my goodies before I make them🤣. Lord bless.
🤣. I’ll have to remember that!! Well, I hit 1000 subscribers last week. I feel like doing a jig😊. It’s hard work but somehow a thousand to me seems like a million. I praise the Lord for each one. 🌷

I did not know homemade banana pudding was so easy. No more boxed pudding for me. Thank you for sharing. You and Mr. Brown have a blessed week.
I always try to make a homemade from scratch pie whenever my grandchildren are visiting.
It's 96° here. I'm having a fresh, cold peach for lunch.
After it cools down, I'll cook some supper.

Oh that looks so delicious Mrs, Lori. Chocolate pie crust with nuts sounds really good. Thanks for sharing. God Bless

Canned evaporated milk makes such good flavored pies & puddings!!
I really like mine with vanilla wafers they're real good that way
Hi Miss Laurie, that is a wonderful pie. The reason Cool Whip doesn't separate is because it's processed oil. There is no cream in it......but it's still handy to keep in the freezer.
Mmmmmm that looks delicious, I'll take a slice or two. You just keep making it better. Yummy. 💕🙏❤😊🥰

That looks delicious!!! I love banana cream pie! Just a tip that I found.. if you add a small amount of cream cheese- about a tablespoon to your whipped cream it will help stabilize it without it becoming cream cheese tasting. It just adds the right amount to help! 😊
Add a table spoon of cornstarch to whipping cream to stabilize it. You can a a teas spoon to egg whites when making meringue .
Powdered sugar stabilizes too.
Love watching your shows the recipes are great thank you xx
Mrs. Lori, your homemade banana cream pie truly looks DELISH, with the real whipped creme topping and the cooked pudding part. 💕
