I love the idea of Cosmic Beings emulating humanity by adopting either the most severe sackcloth and ashes of the most stoic hermits or the unbridled hedonism of the Canadian Club Scene. That line dance is pretty nice to watch too.
I saw them in Dallas and this was song #2 and I was wigging out. They killed it and if they had left after that, money well spent. Of course they played a fantastic set. They are amazing anyway but if they are playing with Neko, you must see them. You will not regret it.

New Pornographers one of history’s all time underrated bands
You can say that again!
Yep, Still my favorite music video
My favorite New Pornographers song from their first few albums. The music video is one of the best in the last 20 years.
pretty under-the-radar jam, for sure! 👍🏻
If this is your favorite from their debut-ish period - what, then, are your other personal favorites of theirs?
@@MichaelBeale I especially love everything off of "Brill Bruisers." I also especially love "Crash Years" and "High Ticket Attractions."
The music video was inspired by the movie Simon del Desierto.
The 21st century’s, greatest three and a half minutes
Some songs and videos are timeless. I loved this the first time I saw it and I may love it even more now.
A music video as appealing as the band itself. This is still so powerful after so many years. Absolutely love you all.
The blonde is absolutely sensational. Just amazing.
Yes, she is Amozing.
any idea who it is?
so Blaine & AC by the stairs at 0:44 and Dan is the bartender. Cool cameos!
Best . Video. Ever.
Excuse me while I enter my little time machine and become 20 years younger too while I listen - I mean, while I dance.
Well, I can see I’ll be replaying this banger about a 1000 times!
Thank you! ❤

this is a fun song for the summer,.
Simon del desierto 😎
Very 2000's vibes.
I miss those times.
I never knew there was a music video made for this song, AND it's an homage to Luis Buñuel to boot!
Simon Of The Desert?
And also based on a real person, Saint Simeon Stylites. Lived atop a pillar for 37 years.
So amazing, so greaaat song mmmhh
Slappin banger
The band playing in the video is not the real band, @1:53 he hands the picture of the actual band to the bartender
Wow Dan looks young in this video!
sick
Great tribute to Simon del desierto, by Luis Buñuel
Fun facts. Carl at 44 seconds. The actress in this video is a yoga teacher in Vancouver BC.
And Blaine.
- What's the dance called?
- Radioactive flesh
- It's the latest dance, the final dance, the final dance...
KOOL
I like indie kids, where mental hospital was a filmoteque and sources of good music
hey, I can't find the Late Nite Show, when they played this song))):
Never equalled
❤ mafia don don don don ❤
I would love for Dan to be my bartender.
i'm gay as hell but i fell in love with the main Woman
oh yeah! who is she? I was transfixed, couldn't stop watching her
Refefence to Buñuel's Simon of the Desert?
Yes, more like grand theft. Blaine was a filmmaker and a student of film.
More of a modern interpretation, certainly a different ending.

Everyone in this video is beautiful, both men and women.
What you have lost consider as totally lost.
quero ser dubladop
Honestly your guys music is timeless but the mixes do not showcase your live abilities
TT
BUT DID HE DIE???
We all die, friend. Make sure to do something before that.
