The rubber ring/ pin assembly is for when you are working up a height, say if you were a scaffold erector, for example. It prevents accidentally dropping your socket off the end of the wrench. So it stops you dropping a socket on somebody's head below but there's not a lot you can do if you drop your whole wrench lol.
Seen this on amazon and was debating whether to get or not, now I will seeing that it works for exactly what I needed. For the price and a purpose like this, you cant beat this deal.

Jus wondering how many NM of torque does this wrench have? I bought one of ebay recently not knowing it was only 380nm torque and I have to hand tighten it after as it's too weak.
I got a cheap impact with a lot of Chinese wording. I actually like mine. I was embarrassed about it at first. But hey it works. I think I paid $50 for mine.
Embarrassed why? Because it works like a mow expensive gun? Because it doesn’t have a known brand name slapped on it? No reasons to be embarrassed, people who spend $$$ on one for home use should be embarrassed.
Using one tool for taking off lug nuts and using a second tool for tightening em up sucks. Why they dont make one of these impacts (battery operated) with torque level indication and torque setpoint for tightening purposes. Thanks for the video

@peter prunty Peter in your case an impact gun is good but you'll do better to invest in a quality cordless ratchet to accompany your new impact gun. I bought the Kimo Ratchet on Amazon. For 90 it comes complete with sockets, 2 batteries and a case. Helped me do my rear brake job this evening especially in places the gun was too big to fit
It has gone up in pricing since you posted your video, everyone now knows it’s good. I’m waiting for my Makita knockoff, I’m crossing my fingers it’s just as advertised from several TH-cam videos I’ve seen. As for pricing.....it starts at $30 plus shipping from China, or $50-60 here in the States.

Just got one of these from ebay. Says its rated to 520Nm but wouldn't undo my wheel nuts at 90Nm. Absolute rubbish and a waste of money.
