You are correct on everything but the setting up the trunk pop or what you can do is you can take the center piece out on the dash where the trunk release button is and there’s another plug back there one is set up for the vehicle Hass to have the key in the ignition and in the on position in order to open the trunk but if you plug into the other plug that goes into it it will switch it to you can open at any time that is basically the master switch for all the other switches like on the door panel just thought you should know that

I used your link for the remotes and instructions and got everything working on my 2010 P7B. It was super easy. My trunk pop works with the car off with no other mods.

The flow for my 2010 P7B. Purchased the Forscan recommended auto switching adapter from Amablonde for like $39 Then bought Forscan for like $10? Two black generic ford keyfobs from Blonde prime for like $12. Followed your instructions to the tee and changed one bit. Key cycled 8 times and wham bam thank you mamm. Lock. Lock.... I had my viper after market for years and it kinda puts it to shame. It's response time is much faster. Thanks man. Trunk pop on 2010 P7B (at-least on mine is ready to go. I have door button and console button setup for key in only) Thx again
My 2011 p7b, instead of the “a815” I had “2815” changed it to “2915”, key works just fine! This video is great. Also the trunk pop was working after I did this.

Did you just press the lock button on the first one and then immediately press the lock button on the next one? Then once all have been learned, you shut off ignition. If it's not working, may be a problem with 2nd transmitter.
Very informative in the first few seconds. I have a 2007 that I could not pair up with the four button fob. Not sure what you are referring to on the antenna.
They have antenna receivers for the fob that came factory starting in 08-11. You would have to pull the cable from a Lincoln town car or grand marquis or crown vic because they have them as well.
I have my key fob program but I can’t get the the actual door locks to go down or up when I hit the button on the fob or the button inside the car but when I hit the buttons I hear the click down by the door module but nothing happens can you help please thanks the car is a 2009 crown Victoria P71
@@SIRMAC93 Ok. Well that could be many things. First thing I would check is the fuse. Also, the switch itself in the door is notorious for going bad. It may need replaced. Could also be the wiring is broken in the door jam. Many things to check.
Soo buying remotes for my crown vic, I have not done the programming. But cycling my key 8 times my doors already unlock and lock, so my question is am I already programmed? Guess we shall see lol
One small bit of wrong information here. The antenna is not located in the DDM, it is located in the passenger C pillar. It's a black rectangular box. Only 08+ P71s and 06+ civilian models have this antenna. On Towncars, it's located between the two rear speakers. The 06-07 DDM is identical to the 08 DDM, and can have RKE enabled on it. No need to swap the module. However, the antenna and the wiring connecting it to the DDM must be added. The wires (5 of them) can be cut and spliced. You can mount the antenna in the door for easy installation, range wont be affected. Also, 09-11 already have the trunk pop wire from factory. It only needs to be added on 06-08.
@@davidhensley148 I got a new DDM but there is only 2 connectors that plug in on the car. The third and missing one is for the antenna. When I try to program the key fob, it does not receive the signal.

My 2008 P71 was built in December 07 the DDM parts # is 8W7T-13C7-91AC. I see the antenna module in the rear c pillar. My dad was a ford mechanic then a mechanic for the police department working on crown vics etc. He thinks im wasting my time but after finding the module I feel like I might be on to something. However, Im using a maximus 2.0 and when I check special function it lists RKE as an option. It lets me into the menu for RKE but errors out "make sure the module is installed" when doing any of the tests. Would this be due to that hex value being A815? just want to get more info before I buy the adapter.
When you change the value and click write. you click ok for the value being wrong. Then a pop up says to cycle the key off and back on. Do I press ok for that pop up before I cycle the key?
Your p71 has a street appearance package does it not? I have a regular p71 with two connectors to the trunk pop in the center dash so I think all I need to do to get fob trunk pop, is have the non ignition trunk pop wire harness hooked to it, and this will work easy for me.
good video but when I put my binary and hex numbers in I got a different number and it did not work with the key fob's. so I just put in your A915 number to try and it worked and the trunk pop worked as well. so if anyone runs in to the issue I had just try the A915 number thanks for the video
Anyone know how to make it so my horn honks and lights flash when I hit the lock button twice on my fob? There's nothing for it in my forscan in either my ddm or lcm im assuming its a code or something. Any help is appreciated

@@GttiqwT Is dark car mode enabled on your rig? Does the dome light come on when you open a door? If not it probably disables the flashing lights as well. I would take that trade as it also kills the seat belt dinger having dark car mode turned on

Taking the door panel off to do the trunk open jumper is next. A few questions - it’s been years since I had the door panel off, so forgive me if some of these are stupid and I’ll know the answer the second I get it off: 1. I added a power seat driver’s door panel and it also had a trunk release button when my original did not. I forget whether there were two options for the trunk release button like the button in the center dash, but it currently only works if the car is running. Is there a second plug for always hot, and does it matter which one I tap into purple on? That is to say, can I tap my purple to the DDM using the current plug that only works when the car is running, and pop the trunk even when it’s off? 2. Please tell me if I’m being stupid and wrong, but I’m not sure I see the logic in using the quick disconnect spade to tap in the DDM jumper. You said it’s if you take the door panel off in the future, but wouldn’t you just unplug the trunk button connector from the door panel like the power seat remote and window switches? If the DDM stays attached to the door and the trunk plug does too once you take it off the door panel, it’s not going anywhere and there’s no need for a quick disconnect, no? So you break the donor DDM plug plastic to get the pins out, pick a big one from one of the corners that’ll fit the vacant slot, then do you push it in from the back? Or do you pop off the front cover to push it in from the front and seat it by pulling the wire in back? 4. Does the battery need to be disconnected while you’re doing all this? Thanks again.
Thanks. I'm still having problems... The DDM was found and communicates so that's there (you're 100% correct thanks for that) and I disabled the TPMS, but I cannot get into FOB program mode... I do the 8x KOEO cycles and the door locks don't click/cycle like yours do... But alternatively my doors auto lock/unlock depending on whether the key is in accessory position (instead of after shifting into drive like most other vehicles I've driven) yours isn't doing this when you do the 8x KOEO cycles... I think this may have something to do with why mine isn't entering program mode... Should my p71 if still factory configured, be locking/unlocking doors when I turn key to accessory on position?

I have 09 P71. My AO-08 field was 2815. I did the hex-dex just to be sure, and it converted to 2915. Works great except no horn beep on locking.

Does forscan work for the cruise control or do you need the Ford one
Forscan does not work for adding cruise control. You must have FDRS or IDS to reprogram the PCM with a different calibration to add cruise.

Yes. Most likely it errors out because FORD has it "turned off" in the code. That's why you have to turn it on. Same hardware.

I believe you need the 06-07 civilian one. The difference is the TPMS or lack of that is important.

It honks after you press the lock button twice, just like any other FORD.

Most likely, if it doesn't match the features of the car. The minimum would be to retrain all of the tpms sensors.

No it won't. You need to get a DDM out of a civilian 06-07 Vic or Grand Marquis.
