Going into my freshman year I was told I wasn’t good enough to make varsity. But by the first game I was starting and had two goals including the game winner. People telling me I couldn’t do something drove me to work harder and put in work to prove them wrong. I love what this video represents and talks about.
When i was six i saw a show on the tv of men playing a game with sticks and a ball, i thought to myself 'i want to do this' that year i signed up for my newly discovered sport lacrosse. My first season i didn't get a single goal, and the season after that, and after that. Now I've been playing lacrosse for over half my life and iv'e just recently earned my first goal ever, and man did it feel good! All of my friends that new i have never scored a goal were cheering like crazy. We lost that game, but i was not mad, i had scored my first goal. After seeing this video i am inspired to pursuing my dreams in the game of lacrosse.

In 2012 I learned what lacrosse was. I wasn't the best, but I wasn't the worst. I thought to myself, even though you're not the best, you can at least play the best you can. And even though I'm still not the best, I have a mindset to always play the best you can. Now I've played lacrosse for 4 years, and have learned that goals don't matter. I have learned that teamwork, and playing your best will get you the spotlight. Although I don't make many goals, I at least pass the ball and cheer my team on. I have learned that losing doesn't matter, nor does winning. The real thing that matters is having fun. So if you lose a game or didn't get a goal, don't ever give up on a dream, always keep going and always play the best you can. That's my little motivational speech.
I remember watching this video years ago, as a dreaming high schooler. Now I’m a division 1 football player, and though it gets hard , I come back to this video to remind myself how far I’ve come
i watch this before every game every practice i listen to it outside when im playing and contantly i repeat verses of this and i love this video keep up the great work
This was awesome and well put together. I'm a sports dad and I found it very motivating for me and what is said is so true. I'll definitely turn this on to my kids who compete everyday. Great Job!
In youth lacrosse I made the B team my 8th grade year. I got trashed for it by all my friends and got made fun of for it. I was pissed off and driven by that and I started putting in work. Now I'm a freshman in high school who plays varsity, look who's laughing now. Don't give up on your dreams
I started in 7th grade. I was on spring Team. I had no clue that I would brake my arm at the end of the season. I was out for 2 seasons. I had 1 season to impress HS varsity coach. All I ever did was practice 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm. That school year in eighth grade I was told I sucked. That drove me to do better. I would imagine that those people where the defenders. I would try my all. And here I am. Junior Varsity team with a scholarship to Duke. Don't give up. Ever.
