I’m 6’3” and was messing around trying to copy his swing and surprisingly it’s fairly easy to emulate, hands straight up drive legs towards the target… I was smoking the ball, upper 180s ball speed with driver and my dispersion was even better. Not a chance I’d ever be close to getting into the angles Rory produces but there might be something to Scottie’s swing for me at least and my body type. Great swing analysis btw everyone knows about his crazy feet but most aren’t aware of how excessively Scottie slides his body towards the target.
So you wouldn't encourage the foot slide for players that have a trail knee/hip that works towards the ball? I actually think this move would improve a lot of amateur players as there is probably a misconception in how to use ground forces.
