Man dude... The reason I've gotten into this hobby is because of you.. Getting friends together and having a ball with these things are great.. Everytime my phone goes off I'm wondering if it's going to be another awesome video from you.. Thanks for what you do keeping all of us entertained and informed...
I love watching you work on RCs and talking. Its like having a friend right with while I'm wrenching or hanging just hanging out. Keep it up just don't hurt your back anymore.
MIND BLOWN! I was telling my lady how a 3d printer could allow me to make cool RC things such as a tank-track and super micro parts for diy ultra micro cars and such. man this is Rig is incredible! and too funny that right off the first few seconds you got it exactly right, I was searching for one of your videos to put on while I wrench on my rc projects. you should make an RC crane and build a house with Lincoln-logs. I'm not sure that anyone has actually ever done that
Such a cool accessory to have. I realize my comment is like six years old but I’m catching up on all the episodes I’ve missed over the years. You could call it “being a loyal subscriber or just a guy that’s bored as hell”. Whichever one it is, it’s still a very cool accessory, build and video.
Thanks so much!!! I just ordered the parts and awaiting delivery! You gave me the confidence and instruction to do this- thanks so much, and have a great thanksgiving
When you start up the blower spray WD-40 inside the shoot and where the snow comes in so it doesn't get clogged. This trick works with full size snow blowers to. :)
Really neat stuff there. I look forward to seeing how it actually works. The construction looks pretty darn amazing I give them that. Maybe you can now blow snow on your friends in the yard now.lol
Great video Bud... Been looking forward to this video for a while.. I am way behind so I am just getting to it now.. BUT what a cool Snow blower attachment 1. It looks amazing.. 2 looks well made.. 3. Looks like it is getting all the proper motors in place that will make this thing work amazing... I guess that is it now? If this thing works half as good as it looks.... oh man!!!! This will fly off the shelves...... I've been keeping a close eye on these printed parts.....which to be honest I haven't seen much.. But after seeing this Snow blower? It's obviously come a long way or someone has figured something out... because it looks great.. So I will stop rambling now... lol Great video to watch while assembling my bead locks.... again!!.. thanks...
Hey medic I love your videos and how you make them. I used to ONLY like trail trucks but your channel has opened my mind to all kinds of rc in the world.
medic! You are my inspiration to get back into the hobby. Here pretty soon, I'm getting a traxxas slash! Keep up the good work, I hope there is rc workshop set up video soon.
my only concern would be used with a plastic hold up to the temperature that being said it does look absolutely amazing and am really looking forward to seeing it in action
PLA plastic is designed for a lower melting point for ease of use in 3d printing so I would think that would make it better for lower temps all the way around. not sure
+landy kid The blower is printed with normal ABS plastic, should be pretty good, I live in Minnesota and in my videos of testing it, it was around 0F and it did just fine. I print the kits with a 0.6mm nozzle and low layer heights for maximum layer bonding strength, pretty close to the same strength of molded ABS parts.
Moo Spyker awesome insight I do not know a lot about 3D printing I just remember hearing at one point some of the plastic can be brittle. I must say though that thing works amazing looking at your videos
4 channels 1)steering 2) throttle(use a Y harness to tie in the front ESC/Motor snowblower, all the spinning will done be off the throttle channel and remove the red wire from the harness before you plug into the Rx ) 3)Your choice(track lift,or blower direction servo. 4) the same as "3" your choice (Bind: Use this to plug in the BEC(You can bind the Rx with a Rx pack separately). That should cover all the functions on 4 channels,I use the same land radio! Or if your feeling lazy, you can bust out a Heli/Airplane remote, and plug, and play,I'd probably use my DX9 just for the channels, you can add lights, motor noise, whatever you can imagine! Your Choice! :)
+im2tall1 You can also run a "Y" harness off the bind port for the BEC, one side will be for the BEC,and the other will be for the Bind plug!(The Bind plug Y harness doesn't have to be altered Plug and Play)!
+im2tall1 It might be possible to connect both the blower motor ESC and the lifting servo to the same channel, so when you lower the blower the ESC turns on also, it would have to use only 1 side of the servo throw, not sure if it would have enough power to do that, worth experimenting. I personally use a modified 9X radio system with a smartieparts board inside.
Man I absolutely love your videos. I've always wanted to have a little rc hobbie but I've never been able to afford it. Your videos keep me at bay for now haha
I watched but not satisfied I need more !!! Awesome video as always.. Perfect production!!!! Have you done a video on your production process??? U on that news feed that shows u hard at work, two monitors flashing schematic clips and you cut and pasting Awesome videos for us!,!!! That could be a winter video Project show us the truth about what happen in the editing room!?!?!?>???!!! Could be really cool! Thanks 🙏
That's a really nice blower looks like a really high resolution print must have took a long time to do just one side of the scoop. The blades aren't just a round plain print they've even got some nice teeth maybe to help break the ice. Look good and has some nice strength hope it take the cold well tho
+bob michael The current kits being shipped out are MUCH smoother and nicer looking. This was one of the very first kits I sold at the beginning of this year, I've changed a lot since. This one was printed on blue tape and elmers glue, which leaves a rough bottom finish, most notable on the side and belt covers. New kits are printed onto a PEI sheet and they have a very smooth flat matte finish on the bottom now. Just FYI for anyone interested in ordering one! Functionally still the same though.
That hing is AWESOME can't wait u take it out and see it in action love the vids keep it up. By the way I just want ur attention I really like ur videos and plz try to respond I really love rc adventures and all ur videos and just want u to see that. Thanks medic and plz respond
+sam strothers please hepl me i just picked up my summit and im having a buzzing or humming when turned on i think its the servos for steering but i dont know
just saw that on th rcsnowcat or rcgroup page., oh, he gave you a 2nd? Cool! Maybe I need to get the new FR model(different esc now?) and print that thing out! You need the weight - exactly. This is such a valuable post! Dual stick forsure. Thanks!
+John Kearns "gave me second"? Not sure what that means my friend.. I wasnt given anything :) Glad the post was helpful! I also have the new Kyosho FR on the way..
Looks really good but I have several concerns about it. The first is the motor mount looks to be in a downward angle this when running will cause the belt to walk forward and eventually off when it is running. The other concern is the the blades them self because 3D printed items are not strong and are pretty brittle even when 100% fill is used so I suspect they will ether fly apart when spun up or they will shatter the second the encounter a chunk of snow sending shards of plastic flying
+EQUINOX Check out my channel, my original video it's blowing through icy snow. It's printed with ABS, I ran it in near 0F weather, works very well. Check out the "ultimate test" video of mine, at the end I cram it into the snow by hand really hard, no damage to the plastic blades, it took a rock to damage the blades. The belt cover piece once screwed on provides a solid base for the motor mount to rest into, it stays square and true, thats why in the manual I said to leave it loose, cause it tightens up a little once the belt cover is on.
Man dude... The reason I've gotten into this hobby is because of you.. Getting friends together and having a ball with these things are great.. Everytime my phone goes off I'm wondering if it's going to be another awesome video from you.. Thanks for what you do keeping all of us entertained and informed...
+Jason Scheffler What an awesome comment, on so many levels! :) Thank you
I love watching you work on RCs and talking. Its like having a friend right with while I'm wrenching or hanging just hanging out. Keep it up just don't hurt your back anymore.
I know a guy who made one of these a while ago! they are sick. I am putting skis on my slash with paddle tires for snow! great video
MIND BLOWN!
