  • Ivo, Mira and 12-years-old Maya sailing around the world aboard 38-foot catamaran Fata Morgana. In this episode, we sail to Maupihaa- an isolated atoll in French Polynesia with only a few permanent inhabitants. There isn't a village, just a few small houses. No electricity, no internet, no store. So what do you do for food in a place like this? Check out the video and find out what we ate in Maupihaa!
    ***

    Seeing videos like this always reminds me there is so so much to see and experience on this planet and we should have no time limit on our lifespan as there is very little we can see in less than 100 years

    That you ate is equivalent to caviar (very expensive spread for the biscuit from the fish egg). It is the eggs of the crab n lots of nutrients same thing with the birds or chickens. How did the egg produced a chick ? From the nutrients inside the egg.

      in most of the places in the world , sharks are protected, i believe that's the reason why they dont catch them and anyway there's a lot to eat over there, i think i could eat the coconut crab, everyday , even for breakfast :))

    Most quote: "sailers" would only break off one claw per crab, for food! Let the crab go to grow another claw for next trip LOL!!!

  • @georgefromtexas4631
    @georgefromtexas4631 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you could bake the crabs for about 5 minutes in the oven before you're ready to eat them, then the shell gets very brittle and therefor easier to get to the meat.

    Man I wish I can teach you how to open the crab properly or else you won't enjoy because it's labour intense. The shell is very dense. The tummy part is the best because it's rich in coconut oil, fat and thick texture.

  • @arceliacody3546

    The tail part is very rich. I advice to eat it with rice, cook green bananas, or taros. It can upset ur stomach.
