That's not a hotel bro! that's a condo, it has nothing to do with the building staff.. the only one u can blame was the person who owned that condo unit, and i know ur wondering why those building staffs was not familiar with the door lock or anything inside the room.. probably each owner customized most of the stuff in their units..

1800 and 1880 Is bldg for BPO there is no condo unit inside 1800 and 1880. The host did you dirty. The bldg was Legrand not 1880/1800. Good thing you found the Airbnb.
A lesson in traveling. I’m a planner and ask questions a lot prior to, this is why. You can’t just expect things to always be easy, especially if you’re going to another country.

A tip when traveling.
1) Get some data.
2) Get the exact address of your destination.
Keep in mind the PH operates on "island time". That's a term used to describe Hawaii and Fiji but it applies to the PH too. It means things move slower. You might hear "out of stock sir" or experience "slow" service just keep in mind life doesn't move fast like in the US. You seem pretty chill so you'll probably adapt quickly. - WW

Bro get a Globe or Smart SIM card and have them load you the data, it’s super cheap here like 1000 php or 18 usd per month for unlimited 5g and 4g in those areas

If you are booking a condo unit in ph you have to ask the owner or the contact person where you booked it, the guards cant help you with that, the receptionist can try but they need to verify to the admin and owner first so it can take a while before you can get in, also buy a sim card for travelers so you can have data it's cheap there anyway and has decent signal especially in manila area they have 5G
I recommend telesin neck mount for GoPro or phone. It's not as forward as head mount so most ppl don't notice it n it's not as omg I'm being recorded plus keeps your hands free with give a good view. Welcome to the Philippines. If your still in town and want to meet up, I'm down to help you get situated with your area n how things run in PH
Small tip if your phone has dual sim cards try n get two different networks because some areas or cities don't always have enough signal if it's in your budget and if you plan to travel alot

Hahahaha this must have been frustrating as hell. When I travel I'm usually in active communication with people who pick me up from the airport and that fixes many many many many issues.
It happened to me in Singapore. It’s not the fault of the people there. It’s pre cellphone time. I wrote the address several times in notepads and notebooks. But the thing is I change bags and did not transfer the notepads and notebooks. I was in a condo complex like that , walk around several times. Checking each bldg. trying to remeber the phone number of my brother. I think it took me 2-3 hours before we found each other at the elevator of his bldg. pissed off.. lol next travel i made sure i wrote everything again and place it together with my passport.

You should've bought a SIM card at the Airport or 7/11. So you have data connection or can call/text the host as ASAP. The Door Key lock intruction should be sent to you by the Host.Prior to your arrival. It is not safe to put that outside the door as you said in this video. Damn, your patience is something. I would've swearing big time if that was me. Filipinos don't like walking under the sun. I'd give that air bnb a fail if I were you. Even a local would go crazy finding that place.. Always buy your stuff at supermarkets. Convenience stores like 7-11, Watson, Uncle John and the likes are more expensive.

I've only been to Eastwood a couple of times, so I don't know the names and numberings of the buildings; but man!, even the security guards don't know their stuff.
Did you watch the video? The address that the host gave him is wrong/incomplete. Did you expect those security guards to magically know where your exact place from an incomplete address?

You poor thing. It's unfortunate that B&B owners have some kind of mistaken idea that THEY are renting to you, therefore you owe them or something. What they don't realise is that without travellers, their fancy pads are just empty boxes. That owner should have been pro-active in keeping updated with you. Those are very entitled people. You should have just gone to a cheap hotel til you could book a more giving host. Good luck on your stay.
