You're a good man, Dusty Baker. Teacher, coach and sharing your knowledge of what you love, the bison, the land, the history and the area where you live with the kids and with us.

Dusty, being a GREAT TEACHER is very important to the kids. I remember certain teachers that REALLY CARED and I will always be thankful to Mrs. Ray,and Mrs. Dotson, and Mr. Willie (he was my freshman history teacher and everyone LOVED the man)in Colorado . So,I'm sure you will have kids that will grow up and have GREAT appreciation for what you do and who you are FOR THEM! So,many teachers DON'T CARE they are just in it for a paycheck,so PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK w/ your kids and your furry critters too! PS. Mr. Willie also played Santa Claus at the North Pole on Pikes Peak,he is surly missed!

So true, some very precious teachers treated us like their favorite kid! All 32 of us. They left an indelible mark on us and a spot in our ❤ heart that is never forgotten.
For me the two most outstanding professions beside parenthood is a doctor who saves lives and a teacher who guides and forms our lives. No one else seems to have the accessibility and impact as these two do.
Very very good teaching lesson today Dusty and going back to watch again.

So glad you are talking about the Native Americans. Born and raised in Wyoming I've seen Bison and Native Americans on a regular basis and have always thought of them as sisters. Beautiful people, beautiful animals and a very sad story to tell about the white man. Hope you keep talking about them under the same breath. They are the back bone of our country. Enjoy listening to talk. Could listen all day, but I have chores to do

I hope you're planning to show us more of the finer points about their physiology and how they are different from domesticated cattle and how they resemble other more ancient species like Aurochs or similar species like water buffalo and that whole array of cattle-like creatures with which humans have long ago developed a relationship.

      Good Morning Dusty.
Love this video, come to it often. Watching your attention to this animal. Born on a dairy farm l loved our cows learned how to feed them, rub their forehead and talk to them while Dad milked. They all had names. I got credit for petting and talking while milking was going on for cows giving more milk. To see you scratch Eleanor's soft fussy head brings back my great childhood. Sweet Eleanor would be wonderful to scratch. Amazing animal. We didn't have cubes just a little extra grain or spriggs of alfalfa. Oops I rattle on.

Dusty, my uncle had a small dairy, then raised beef. There was one old cow he just couldn't part with. Her milk never dried up because her teats were so wrinkled, she constantly dripped milk. She was a 800 lb dog...he would call her by name, and there she was, loved to get petted. Loved her ears scratched. I think the cow lived to 27...even had some grey hair on her head.

Virginia Bison Company, in my hometown of Culpeper, VA has been around for over 20 years. They sell the meat. I have been by it many times..the fenceline looks like it's made to hold King Kong.

I've been to Oklahoma city several times for the National Appaloosa Horse Show but now held in Fort Worth, Texas. Great grandfather was born on the Cherokee reservation, dad grew up in Fort Smith. They used to visit family together. Appreciate what you're doing. The saying went, kill a bison and kill an Indian. It worked.

Record some of your history lessons of OK and the bison then post them during football season. I'll miss the weekly updates of the bison.
