On Thursday I played go (Chinese game) for the first time and I thought I should go to a club in my town to play, but I didn't in the end. I'm going to take my cue from you, who went to a chess club and go to the next session. I also need to see more people, but it's not always easy. I hope you don't feel guilty about reading less when your weeks are busier. I think it's normal and even good as long as your time has been spent doing positive things. Right now I'm reading James Ellroy's American Tabloid about the FBI's involvement during the Kennedy years and the corruption of that time. The characters are all scumbags and I'm sure it's very close to the reality back then, which is chilling. Have a good week and thanks for the video 📒📓📕📖📗📘📙📚

@@PoorPersonsBookReviewer that's fair. In general I think the entire thing might be hit and miss, I know as many people who like it as hate it. The humor didn't work for me, I just read it all out of curiousity, personally.

With reading poetry, you have to slow down and let it soak in. It's perfectly OK to not understand what you have read at first. The big thing is you can't read it like a novel. I love poetry now, but when I first started reading it, I struggled to understand and comprehend a lot of what I was reading. Poetry, at least for me, is very personal and based on emotional experiences. It is tied not so much to the intellectual but to the emotional. But anyways.... I appreciate your videos 🎉👍
Thanks for the poetry advice, I’ll take any I can get. It’s a real trip when 8 lines of poetry can get you a 3 pages review of all the deeper meaning I totally didn’t get 🎉👍🏽

omg. i am VERY glad that emily dickinson's poetry was saved. there is evidence that dickinson actually wanted her poetry to have a wider audience but it was considered too weird for the time. it's kine of sad that her family changed her poems but they were definitely trying to cash in. thankfully there were other people who eventually brought her actual poems to the public but, my gosh, it took a long time.
that displacement book sounds awful. it was indeed best to dnf it. well done!
