- Donna Adelson is facing trial after police believe Charlie Adelson, Donna’s son, and Donna hired three people to kill Florida State University professor, Dan Markel. Markel was Donna’s ex-son-in-law who had been in an intense custody battle with her daughter, Wendi Adelson, at the time of his murder. Charlie has already been convicted of the crimes and was sentenced to life in prison. Donna was indicted on criminal charges a week after Charlie was found guilty.

I am here for Donna’s reaction to Wendi testimony. Wendi is so cold hearted that we know she won’t have a reaction in the least despite this being her mom (who Wendi most certainly complained to regarding Danny- all those emails were in RESPONSE to something Wendi has told her).
Wendi will have "Duper's Delight" when she testifies against Donna just like she did in Charlie's Trial.

I get it when kids are little and want to spend time with their grandparents cos they get spoilt, but when they start school and have friends, parties, trips etc they don’t want to hang out with the oldies anymore ( my own grandchildren dont😂) but that’s what happens, it’s normal… I think Donna thought that the kids would want to be with her full time and it really doesn’t happen!

Donna's reason may have been the grandkids, Charlie's to be the "hero ' to his mom, BUT Wendi, the master manipulator.....her reason was was strong fear of being disbarred due to lying the court about her assets. That is her "status" which is far more important to her than her boys. She manipulated and played whole family .

I don’t think she has a choice. Her only other defense could be, "I had nothing to do with it. Charlie did it all by himself!"

Usually Defendant's with money appeal on "ineffectiveness of counsel", and yet Donna has "Rash-bumm", same as Charlie, by all means hire the same lawyer that got your son LifeWOP. But the real truth may be that the Adelson's had trouble finding a lawyer - case in point the Mystery of why David Markus immediately withdrew from the case.

Sound is quite muffled but if you turn on closed captions it really helps to follow the dialogue

Donna wants to stick with the "extortion" defense because she believes it is the only chance that Charlie has with an appeal. She doesn't care much about her own future, she even admitted on a phone call that she was ready to end it all. She knows she doesn't have much time left, even by her own hand.

With the Adelson’s money, you would think that they would hire the very best of defense attorneys. Connecting Donna will be a bit more challenging, certainly not, as easy as it was with Charlie. However, there is likely enough circumstantial evidence. If he was unable to keep her son from a life sentence, what makes her think that the outcome will be different?

Donna is cooked like a corned beef. The Grandkids are now 15/14 they will be fully able to watch Granny roast online. Donna is 73, she will be getting life plus 60. She needs to get in shape to be able to serve that amount of time. Her still golden hair at the end of her ponytail signifies the timeline from the bust at MIA Terminal E and now.
What age could the kids bear witness, 16, 18, 21? Is there any way they would be able to at these ages? Maybe under Markell's custody.

This may be a ridiculous question on my part, but is Donna Adelson's choice to have Rashbaum defend her in a murder trial just a ploy to appeal for a retrial on the grounds of ineffective counsel? I am perplexed by how this matriarchal manipulator could ever believe that he would effectively defend her case in a trial. Absolutely perplexed over here. Not mad about it, just perplexed. Are they so jaded that they cannot see how egregious Rashbaum presents his defense? I guarantee Wendi will choose different counsel when the time comes.
