I found it a little irritating that you said you should start out with your strongest argument. Whenever we need to write essays or debates everyone always says to start with your weakest point and end with your strongest point as that is what will stay in the readers mind. It’s like they are slowly climbing up a ladder. The first argument is kinda convincing, the second one is convincing and the third one is the most convincing but also most original argument. Now I don’t say that your structure is bad by any means. I’m just pointing out that MY teachers show US a specific way of writing essays like that and expect us to structure them that exact way. You even get marks off if you do it differently (something I unfortunately had to experience myself) so this is just me being torn between the (great) advice you gave and between what I was forced to do throughout school lmaO

Natasha Priest I think it went okay? but it’s really hard to tell tbh 😂 I had loads of time in the first section but ran out of time in the essay section (like I finished the essay but I wish I could’ve written more)
I’m applying to UCL, King’s, Queen Mary, Edinburgh and Queen’s in Belfast! So thankfully only two of them actually require the LNAT! How about you?

Update?? So my score was 30! (the 2020 average score was 21.5) and so far I’ve received offers from King’s College and Queen Mary, but my Edinburgh application was unsuccessful

LNAT in two weeks, you're an absolute lifesaver. I was always so mystified on how to bash out that crazy sophisticated essay, but really taking a step back and deciding on a simple but effective structure to tackle it really helps a lot. Thanks again!

@@gabrieljohnson484 omg its so hard, not to freak u but practice timings!!! Especially for the multiple choice u need to nail that. Alot of the questions say what is the authors main purpose, and all will be correct u need to choose the main. U have to look at the wording of the question, basically most of the answers will be right the whole paper its about the one that is the most right. Also try not to freak cause then youll keep rereading the extract and none of it will go in ur head. Other than that youll be amazing!!

this was the most serious you've ever been in a video LOL but this was sososo helpful for me as i am planning on taking law in the future, but also really helpful in general in terms of how i should structure my essays and whatnot (because god knows i'm horrible at structuring anything)

im planning to sit the lnat in a couple of months and this video was a fantastic overview of what to expect. Not really receieved a tone of help from my school so again thankyou. also i would like to add that your intro for your essay probably stood out, as "taking a step back" seemed to be quite a unique approach however an intelligent one

@@tssukiee Practice really. Try to do it without outside knowledge and based on the information given to you. You can find free LNAT guides/textbooks online. I found a few on Anna's Archive. I probably could've done better with more practice, but I only really revised for it in 3 weeks. Good luck!

i remember watching this 4 years ago when i was 13. now im 18 and sitting the LNAT in 2 days
"you can't really study for this test" I relate, our state wide graduation exam for a ridiculous amount of our GrADuAtION grade in Australia is the same. (It's also so bias to mathmatically minded people) (and it would show you a picture of something and then give you a multiple choice about the MEANING) (not happy with the Australian system) (can you tell)
