Would like to see another video from you and hear how things are going for you in 2022. It is such an admirable goal to take what you are learning as you deal with chronic illness and share it with others so they can learn from your experience. Gives us hope and a great example of living life on your own terms and creating something of life with the hand you are dealt. Certainly not easy. Absolutely worthwhile.
Hey, I shared your video on my blog and told my followers to follow you. I really can’t believe there is someone out there with EDS sound this too. I cried today
Thanks Chels, this will help our family too! The ones who sadly carry the genetic link. This was a wonderful beginning to your story. Told so accurately and freely. And well said. It made me think about your mom working on getting you to Mayo Clinic. How long it took but well worth the efforts and time. Which I believe is where you were finally diagnosed. That part was a relief, but you had to figure out how to live with it. That makes me sad. I sure look forward to your next video you beautiful, shinny diamond you! “Shine on you crazy diamond…🎶💎” love you miss you!
I'm so looking forward to more videos, especially about chronic illness and how it intersects with van life. I have POTS and Lyme and I'm planning how I can make van life a reality for me and my cat. Right now I'm thinking about a small class c rv
I hope to get more videos up soon to show a lot of that intersection! I also considered a class C, and it could be a great option for you. Glad you are here! 💚✨
I hope you’re doing okay! I plan to build a van been waiting to do it for awhile but things always seems to come up. I have multiple chronic illnesses too and POTS so I get ya!
Oh Wow! I came here to "escape" & watch a van life video & found you & Jack's channel! Great entro...made me laugh so hard. You've really connected to a lot of people here. Fantastic (but sad) story you have. I'm dealing with a chronic illness (me/cfs for decades) then 52 months of being sick with Longhaul Covid-19 & 24 doctors later I'm ready to get on the road and get far away from Seattle, the dark, cold, miserable city & go somewhere warm & sunny & LIVE! I really don't know about traveling solo & looking for a travel partner(s) & a motorhome, van or? Anyway, that's my dream & I think there is safety in numbers but so stoked that you're doing it solo! I'm subscribing & can't wait for more videos! If you (or someone here) could set up a service for chronically ill people to meet & become travel partners it may be a great way to make a bit of cash for gas! Hugs to you & "Captain" Jack! Lol! He's a captain now!
I’m so glad to connect with you here, and I’m sorry it’s been such a struggle. People just don’t get how tough it is, sometimes, with chronic illness. 💚 I would LOVE to have a chronic community to caravan/travel with, and it’s definitely a part of the dream of what I hope this community grows into! Great idea to find a way to start connecting people, and gas money is always necessary 😆. More videos coming soon!
@@chronicwanders Nice! Well you've come up with a name! C.C.C.C The Chronic Community Caravan Club! Good luck & can't wait to see you & Jack's next video!
Paused after the first 45 seconds… to subscribe! I looooved that intro! I’m right there with you as I would be exactly the same! Much love from the uk 💚
hi Chelsea, I was captivated by your story and felt that I just had to subscribe. You are an inspiration for your determination to finish Grad school and to follow your dream despite your illness. I also love to escape and relax by watching Vanlife videos. I look forward to watching your next video and hearing more of your incredible story and your Van life tips. Please give Jack a cuddle for me. Best wishes and see you "on the road."
You are so courageous and inspirational Chelsea. I look forward to more videos - especially van fit out- so awesome!!! Only one video in I feel grateful to be at the start of something lovely for you. Love Jack! I have a ginger boy too - his name is Archie. Many blessings 💝🦋🌈🐕.
Hi Chelsea, I was very impressed with the video of your van tour that Nate Murphy has posted on his YT channel. I'm glad you have your own channel now. I just subscribed so I can watch your future adventures. All the best to you and Jack the Cat in your vanlife travels!
Thank you for sharing your journey Chelsea, you are a brave warrior and a beautiful wanderer, filled with strength, truth and honesty on all of the parts about your story and of doing this! I'll be watching your chronicles and wander a bit through your videos* Wishing you the best*
I rarely watch a long video from beginning to end. Your story inspired me. I was so interested I couldn't stop listening. I'm a new subscriber and look forward to your future videos. My dream is to live #vanlife someday, but for now I'm in #carlife. My Honda CRV will have to do for the next few years. Hope to see you on the road.
I just subscribed. I'm 36 chronically ill since 2015 and homeless for a few years now as a result of illness. I've been juggling the idea of van life and small house living for awhile I'm very curious to see and hear all you'll have to share
Wow, thank you for sharing your story, and I’m sorry you have been through so much. Van life has really given me a quality of life back that I hadn’t had for years. I hope to have some videos up soon that might bring a little more insight. Thanks for being here! 💚💚

Thank you!!! And that’s awesome! It’s terrifying, but also fun, and let me know if you do get started! I know you have a lot of value to share and I’ll be there to follow along! ✨
The van that you originally lived in was a 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 with the 170" wheelbase, as I saw on your website. The van you live in now is a Ram ProMaster with the 136" wheelbase. Do you happen to know what year your current van is?
big story, glad to hear this, chronically ill person myself, would love to vanlife, but not in a position to even start that at the moment....aussie :D
I also have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I’m 25 and doing #carlife for a PhD (year 1). I can’t believe someone else out here is doing vanlife with a chronic illness
Hi! Thank you & so happy to connect! I’ve been nomadic for three years now and I’ve met so many nomads with chronic illness. We’re out here and slowly but surely finding each other ❤️
