There are many routes to reach Harishchandragad, it depends on which level and how ur travelling (local or pvt) For Mumbai closest is Kalyan to Malshej route from there u will reach Khireshwar trail but it's lengthy and little diffcult (check part 3). 2. Its from Kasara/Igatpuri which will take u to Pachnai route & this is only route which is very sort and safe for any new trekkers (check part 1).
Hi Jayesh, Harischandragad is a huge place & there r lots of thing to explore & do. For Us, we had started on Sat sharp morning from Pachnai vill and on Sunday around 12 pm return back to Pachnai vill. In this 1 and a half day we had cover caves, temple, Balekilla peak, Taramati peak, night camping, bonfire & Kokankada. U can visit Harischandrgad & return in one day also if ur not planning for any peak or night stay.
There r some villager, who provide stay, food and toilet facility. If you take there service of food and stay, otherwise u have to manage all ur own in nature.
We had went with Organizer at that time, don't have any no. but you can check on google map, there many local hotels shown, contact and check for the food.
