I know that Seven Utes Mountain has been a "plan B" so many times in our quest to hike up on 14! We finally did it, and now looking back, it sure was a beautiful one with SO many wildflowers! This was a superb year for them! The views at the top were great. Great hike for sure! ❤
@Miderguy_ The boots are rough. If they aren't laced exactly right they hurt. Definitely not as comfy as the old Vasques that they don't make anymore. But they do seem really durable.
Nice views toward the west side of the Never Summers. I hiked up there last winter from the NW ridge, and it was really windy that day. It’s interesting to see the route from the saddle and the summit during the summer.
I'm trying to figure out what hikes to do on my trip up that way this month. This looks possible. Usually I just do Lake Agnes or the American lakes trail but they might have it closed to hikers while they do forestry work, or so the rumors have told me.
@KFrost-fx7dt It is hard to know what they are going to be doing up there or what is closed. I have yet to find an up to date accurate source that let's me know. It's always good to go up there with a plan B and C hikes in mind just in case.
@@nicksangetta8874 in my experience the forest service does work when they get to it and when they have personnel. It's weather dependent too. Having a backup plan is always good because you don't want to drive all the way someplace and not get to do anything. I've actually discovered rediscovered quite a few gems that way.
Good one Nick. A lot of good hiking along highway 14, less crowded than further south.
Great hike. Your second attempt went much smoother. Loved the video, including the moos chase, of the first hike.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Great hike, thanks for sharing!

Every hike this year seems to be BIG. Another one here.
Nice hike. Good to see you guys hiking in this area. Report back on those boots. My Lowa Renegades are toast after not even 2 full summers.

@nicksangetta8874 yeah that sucks when they discontinue a good thing.
Some great views - and no crowds! That’s a winning combination! Thank you for taking us along!
I enjoyed the hike! Thank you. KC Don 😉
Love the solitude! Views even better!
