When the gas pipes and gas wells and roads froze they weren't able to get gas to the power plants by pipe or truck so they went down and stayed down. Solar only made up 4% of texas's power grid and didn't really affect the outage. but overall even if they did have a different balance of power plant types they still would have had an outage since all types were affected and texas is isolated from the rest of the countries' power grid. When other states like florida or california have bad weather tha shuts down their power production, they can just pull power generated from the other 45 states on the grid. But when texas and oklahoma go down they are just screwed

Nah that was rightwing propaganda and it was wind turbines not solar panels which don't make much power in winter anyway. but it was false in any case the wind turbines were fine they operate in places like norway with no issues it was the non winterized natural gas plants that shut down and the fact they don't connect to the rest of the US power grid so they can't even bring in outside power.

If you enjoy a more similar experience without the special Mario powers you should try out Everybody's golf if PlayStation and Clap Hanz(current devs) decide to make another.
