    I don't think we should be very concerned here's my 5 reasons
    reason 1 we had to fly 3,000 miles
    reason 2 cal had 2 weeks to prepare for us and they threw everything and the kitchen sink at us especially bc they had the gameday hype
    reason 3 we have film to go back and fix
    reason 4 we have a bye week this week which will help us fix some things
    reason 5 our team is relentless and will do whatever to win

    It's hilarious how the Canes are penalized more for winning then some " elite programs" are for losing. The VT game they just were awful tackling and Cams bonhead turnovers cost them what should've been a double digit win. Cal was just them out coaching in the first half and again Cam making boneheaded mistakes but the fact is with all the flaws the opponents can't take them out and Miami shouldnt be put down for that from everybody

    Seems to not address that teams play Miami above their heads and by the second half they are gassed. Then Miami with conditioning and depth, doesn't let up, as opponents lose momentum. Coming out hard to keep your fans from getting silenced or knowing that early is your chance to put Miami away, but how long can you actually keep that pace up.

    • @malcolmjones27
      @malcolmjones27 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Exactly! I've re-watched video of their first game against Florida and the videos of their other games against USF and Vtech, and now Cal, and I'm trying to figure out WTH happened between how they played against Florida vs the other programs. And to be honest, Florida was the first team to expose Miami's weakness when they're running back busted out that run for more than 50 yards on the left side of the O-line. The safety bit and came up into hole too soon and over pursued the play and Florida's running back kicked it back out and ran up the sideline for the TD. There is a serious problem with containment and not allowing opposing players to get outside for big plays.

    • @malcolmjones27
      @malcolmjones27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@premo_in_miami7245 , Bro, the Vtech game was another prime example of Miami not setting the edge. Vtech's running back, Tuten, was absolutely killing Miami. He would fake inside and then side paddle it towards the outside and run up the sidelines. Hell, dude was also running up the middle as well and still killing them. If you go back and look at their games, especially their last 2 games, Miami has allowed almost 80 points to be scored on them and most of those have come from passes either across the middle towards the sideline or simple pop pass towards the sideline and the player then turns it up and runs it down field to the end zone. Miami's defensive problem is clearly blocking or not being able to shed the block, tackling, over pursuit, and not taking the right angles.

    We had a drama cycle w/Cormani and Jackson that we thought would be a solution given the incoming rating. If those kids maturity would’ve matched their talent Miami could’ve been better off than what we currently see. But at the end of the day we are two cycles back on DB when the rest of the team can be capable of winning now. • @malcolmjones27
    @malcolmjones27 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Don't know who the secondary coach/coaches are for Miami but whomever he/they are they absolutely need to go! Sorry, but these cornerbacks and safeties are missing tackles and assignments to the point where it's embarrassing. They're messing up on basic football fundamentals which make me wonder how in the world did some of them earn a scholarship to play Division College Football because I've seen high school players play better than some of Miami's secondary players.
    There is no excuse to be taking bad angles and missing tangles. There is no excuse for the same player/players to be missing assignments and blowing coverage week in and week out. If Miami does lose a game, it'll be against a team that not only can put up points against this secondary like Cal was able to do but a team that has just as much depth than Miami. Miami has been able to simply put, out last, the competition in the fourth quarter.
    If you look at the Vtech and Cal game, those opposing team's players were gassed! Especially Cal's players. They had no more juice left in the tank to keep up with Miami's players because those teams were too busy trying to blow all their energy on putting Miami away in the first few quarters. Hence is why, if you'll notice, Miami has outscored they opponents 60 to 25 in the second half. Miami makes adjustments. That much, I will give you. However, other teams are still making those same passes and runs to the outside or across the middle even in the second half for big chunks of yardage but not as much as they did in the first half of the game.
    Miami plays next against, Louisville, Florida State, Duke, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Syracuse. I'm telling you right now, the only team that I see Miami having an assured win against would be against Florida State. Louisville can definitely play well against them and the game is in their stadium. Although the Duke game is at Miami, I'm sure Manny Diaz would love nothing better to do than to come back home and defeat them in their own stadium so he's going to have something up his sleeve. Trust me on that! Georgia Tech, same thing. All they're going to be thinking about is how they pulled off that miracle last minute past last season to win the game, so you know they'll be looking to also beat Miami. That game is at Georgia Tech also. Syracuse and Wake Forest are not going to be as easy as some may think.
    These next 6 games for Miami by far will be the toughest challenges for them up to date and that's because these opposing teams know now how to attack Miami's defense which is through Miami's outside perimeter defense and their secondary. Finally, in order for Miami to make it to and through the first level of the playoffs, they have got to develop their running game. They cannot simply rely on Cam Ward to get them out of every situation. They have to figure out what needs to happen in order to get Martinez and Fletcher more involved. They also better get this secondary and linebacker core into shape because it's obvious they're having some serious growing pains right now in those departments.

    What Miami has to realize is one slip up could cause everything to go south Smu has an easy acc schedule and so does clemson if they both win out and miami for some reason drops a game to gt or louisville even tho they will be 11-1 and make the playoff they won’t have that bye

    Alabama just lost to Vanderbilt. Texas A&M beat the tar out of Missouri. Tennessee and their high-flying offense was grounded at Arkansas. Michigan got rolled by a Washington team that recently lost to Rutgers. A week ago, Ole Miss got shut down by Kentucky. Why is there always 'reason for concern' when Miami plays a few close games while nobody says shit when these other teams actually lose? You know who should have reason for concern? Oregon, as Dillion Gabriel has looked average, the Ducks have played nobody and Ohio State is headed to town this week. Same with Penn State going across the country to take on USC this week with the Buckeyes on deck in a few weeks. Miami's secondary needs to play better and the Canes have been vulnerable to the big play-guys out of position and screwing up. Bye week just came at there right time as key guys like Demari Brown were injured (Canes just got Reuben Bain back, as well) so they'll need to outshoot Louisville before welcoming a dog of a Florida State team to HardRock. From there, former coach Manny Diaz rolls south with Duke, road trip to Georgia Tech for a revenge game, Miami gets Wake Forest on senior day and a regular season finale at Syracuse, hopefully punching a ticket to the ACC title game. Either way, what is there to "worry" about. There are things to clean up so this staff will either get this defense on track, or it'll be on Cam Ward to keep getting it done on offense.

    Miami will boat race Syracuse, it will be a fun day and they will probably put half a hundred on Syracuse…now at Louisville will be the very tricky game. Glad the Canes have 2 weeks to prepare, but Louisville is one of the few teams that can score with Miami and win a shootout. No one else on the schedule can win a shootout with Miami, Ga Tech will be a pain in 8:20 rs Miami defense, it’s the big plays, and G Tech is not that type of offense. Ga Tech will definitely be hard to beat, but unless the Canes turn it over multiple times, they will probably not score enough points to beat Miami. The Seminles, as you can see I purposely left the “o” out, because they don’t have an “O”. They can’t score enough points either, and Duke and Wake have a miniscule chance at beating Miami. I’ll never say zero chance because it’s college football and weird stuff happens, (Northern Illinois bests Notre Dame in Southern Bend) 😊

    Miami should not be concerned, they will make the playoff with no wins against ranked teams and 1-2 losses because the ncaa wants to feign parity in conference quality

    “If you play the way you played the week before…” blah blah blah. I think you’re the same person who said that before going into Cal game. There’s no reason for concern. At the end of the year we won’t be looking at how these games were one. It’s just going to say “W”. Y’all move the goalpost when it comes to Miami. And stop stating the obvious about Cam Ward saving us. DUH!! He’s the star QB. But did you see how the defense played second half? Restrepo? Come on man.. cut it out.

  • @vengeagrippa

    Almost lost back to back games and they were literally getting blown out by Cal in the first half. Cal was up 25 points when the second half started, and they’re not exactly a power house team. Cal dropped that game hard, and the ref’s not calling that targeting call just shows how bad ACC officiating is. Either way, if Miami plays a solid team that plays all four quarters then I think they will lose.
