sadly, it's too late for the 'act now' part ...many of the things described in this video about 'what will happen if we don't act now' are actually biblical prophecy! ...these things are going to happen!!!

Back in the 30's and 40's the Scientists at big oil were worried about the amount of Co2 we were pumping into the air, theorizing the effects on the atmosphere and the reports did not look good for big oil i.e. Climate Change.. Too lazy to find a link, but not hard to find. :)

Not everyone is a high payed scientist who has an opportunity to earn enough to purchase a large plot of land and build a home off grid . Think of all the energy it took to creat everything that affords him to live off grid . Even buggy tires uses a lot of energy to produce . Nothing magically appears . Remember that !

We reach a tipping point when nothing we can do will change the disaster that is our future. As trees burn more CO2 is dumped into the atmosphere and fewer trees are there to act as carbon sinks. As the permafrost melts methane is released in huge quantities that is 10 times worse than CO2 for climate change. The oceans become less saline and ocean currents change and the sea life dies off. Red tides and rotting sea life will inundate the coasts. I am totally pessimistic about the future especially with people not changing their behavior but expecting governments to make us change. What kind of government would be necessary to make us change? Certainly not democracy as people will not vote for someone who tells them they can't use plastic bags anymore let alone drive huge gas guzzling cars. truck and SUV. We want to live as we always have with all our creature comforts and will only vote for someone who will let us do that despite repeated warnings. Autocratic governments are the only type that could possibly put measure in force to make any impact at all. I have no hope for the future but then I won't be around for much of the worst of it.

I keep hoping people wisen up and will pool resources together, prioritizing tech that allows for sustainable energy, not so much to consume as we have, but to consume resources smarter. Grow a garden, and learn how to adjust to unfavorable weather. We are close to cheap sustainable battery tech now. Build for passive heating and cooling if you can, and stay way from coast waters. I will be a sea-level rise migrant soon if a forest fire doesn't burn me out first.

@@visnuexe erm... no, a democracy cannot save us. For like a billion reasons. The WEF know this, that is why they consolidating GLOBAL power to themselves and taking command of world governments. Give it a few more years and you will see the entire world becoming more authoritarian and your liberties and rights being stripped away from you. Owning cars and houses will become near impossible and human depopulation will kick into high gear as billions are forced to die.
This is the WEFs vision to save some semblance of humanity from extinction. I understand the thinking and logic behind it perfectly well. Less people = less emissions, less resource consumption, easier to manage and control, easier to consolidate into bastian countries for deep adaptation strategies in order to keep them with the new diminishing carrying capacity of the planet and so on.
They see it like a herd of deer that have bred out of control and if they are not culled down to a manageable sustainable population they will instead have a mass die off from lack of resources and that herd will collapse and go extinct. They see humanity in this way.
But, meanwhile in realityland the emissions to cause human extinction are already there in the atmosphere right now. And nothing the WEF is about to unleash upon us will save us or them from the inevitable human extinction coming. But I guess we will all be as miserable as they can make us in the meantime. yay.

Pure hopium. CO2 remains active in the atmosphere for around 1200 YEARS before falling into a sink. Therefore ALL the emission of the last few hundred years are still there today heating the planet up. AND we are stepping on the gas pedal and ramping up our emissions to the moon and back. It doesn't even matter if we stop emitting and went net zero (impossible btw) right now, the emission to kill us are already there in the atmosphere. It's set in stone. Game over. We are already dead but most just don't understand that yet.

Here in NZ we've just had our first week of spring (the plants reckoned it was over a month ago and a lot of plants got killed off by cold winter temperatures) and the sun burns right though clothing with a UV warning of 6 (high) and it's still 2 months before summer. The end of the current ice-age (natural warming was much faster during Dansgaard-Oeschger events, but even if partially industrial today) is not by itself a crisis. Warming and more CO2 has more advantageous effects than harms. However chosing catastrophical EROI energy wind and solar and batteries (for which the mining industry cannot provide enough raw materials, watch Simon Michaux Associate Professor at Geological Survey of Finland ) instead of fast-neutron nuclear (Integral Fast Reactor or Molten Salt Chloride Fast Reactor) is devastating and the biggest crises ever. Instead of having 30 years to handle the resource-crisis the green transition brings the crisis to our doorstep. Decarbonisation with solar panels on fields that bring more CO2 emission in China and in Germany than it prevents is the most stupid concept ever. It can simultaneously result in energy disaster, resource disaster, ecological disaster, social disaster, food crisis and even contribute to warming, although that is the smallest problem among all.

What happens if the "heat wave" becomes a daily occurrence? What we do not recognize is the fact that when temperature increases even 1°, yes, it decreases at night when the sun sets, but when the sun rises again, we are beginning at a higher temperature, so therefore, we do not cool as efficiently, effectively, or as much. Even the overall humidity is effected by the static increase in overall temperature. And humidity is what makes it feel hot to humans.

What state? The Midwest covers an area of roughly 821,000 miles which is about twice the size of France. Michigan can be rather different from e.g. the southern part of Illinois or the western part of Kansas. Depending on how far the jet stream dips and how long it lingers in place Midwestern states can experience completely differing extreme temperatures during the same time period. I just checked the forecast for Lansing, MI vs. Salina, KS for the next few days: MI 80s to 90s; KS 100s for more than 5 days in a row!
Also, weather events (such as heavy rain falls) are local; what happens in your town might be quite different from what happens in the next town or county over.

We all contribute to damaging the planet, we must all make changes and not small ones, but rather big ones, for example we like to eat a lot of baked goods, let's change our diet, generate less heat, eat more raw vegetables and thinly cut meat that cooks quickly. We should not only think about the beasts that exploited the planet, destroying the well-being of humanity. Make changes in the products we buy, use our legs more, walk, use a bicycle or motorcycle that consume less and generate less CO₂ and other gases. Stop eating pizza and consume less cooking oil because its extraction consumes a lot of energy that comes from biomass that generates gases, a greenhouse effect and a lot of heat.

How exactly do y'all expect to save the planet? Seriously???? Nowwww that the Ozone is open, Nowwwww that disasters are happening? Nowwww is when HUMANITY CHOOSES TO SAVE THE PLANET?
Humanity should've had a brain smart enough NOT to take advantage of what God gave us. We were supposed to take care of this planet, animals, and everything on it. Not take, take, and take. Y'all are going to have to open your eyes and realize that it's too late! Too many disasters are already happening and they are only going to get worse. Too many people that don't care, too many evil people harming wildlife and pets. Factories burning fuel in order to make a profit, not to mention every one person that throws trash on the streets, and beaches, that all ends up polluting the Ocean because HUMANITY IS TOO DANG LAZY to find a recycling bin or trash can. Sorry if I'm being so open and honest but it just too late to save the planet. What we can do is try to help those that need help, not just your average person but homeless people, homeless animals, if you see a person or an animal sick on the street help them out, don't just pass by them as if they don't exist. Help to keep the beaches clean, if you see someone dumping trash ask them to Please pick it up and throw it into a bin. Let's help our trees, plants, and grass, if someone is using pesticides ask them to Please stop using it or you will need to report them to the authorities. Oh and quit eating meats. Cows were meant for milk and cheese as are goats, sheeps for their wool, chickens for their eggs, pigs can be taught to find truffles, horses were meant to be ridden, and so forth and so on. Plus animals, humans, wildlife, and what is left of this planet we're all meant to be taking care of EVERYTHING.
      Thank You for sharing.

I don't care about the storms that become every year even if they will become massive. The ones that comes once per century at that time will be even more stronger and devastating. If every year storm is a devastating one, then what will be the rarer ones?
If extremes goes above our survivability plans, then that's it. First locally, but then they may become global events. Firestorms, like currently happened in Hawaii and is still happening in Kanada comes to you, are you prepared? If you lose your house and everything in it, how do you survive afterwards? Earlier in California wild fires people kept building their homes in the firezone. When your appartment burns 3 times in a decade, is it even sane to build new one there? That's what some ensurance policies force you to do... Or when in sunny day your appartment is flooded and that happens every month? That's what is happening in Florida, in some Island nations, Bangladesh, ...
And when land dries up, your ground water is gone, it is too expensive to build desalination plant with long pipelines. Then you'll lose your harvests, soil is too dry to even keep itself alive, so it won't really matter if rains comes afterwards... And the rains comes more like floods that will erode the top layer anyway... Food security is sinking while we are talking. Droughts from mediterraneian to India to Colorado river basin and multiple other places at the same time. We are running out of water and food.
