Saturn was an underrated company. The plastic panels are so practical. The cars were simple, efficient, and usable. I’ve heard scary things about their automatics in terms of reliability, but nothing major otherwise.
"Ugly" lol this car looks like in mint condition dude. Looks awesome, what a steal. I love the engine because it's a cast iron that withstands more heat than an aluminum. For that reason alone I saved my car from a overheating issue in the highway, I was able to drive ten minutes in the highway and get off just in time to park without a single smoke coming out of it.
@@randomtallguyvlogs6756 does your car have a sealed transmission? Is it possible to change the oil? Mine is sealed and doesn’t have a dipstick. I’m also planning on cleaning the throttle body. Are you going to make more videos on the Saturn? That would be dope!
I have a 2004 ion 3 quad Coupe. If you pull your keys from the ignition as you're getting out of the car you can press the power lock button to lock the car and hold it till it starts dinging and then let's go once you shut the door the car will lock itself in about 5 Seconds plus flash the lights
I have 2004 ion 2. Bought it new. Has 114,000 miles. Had some kind of ignition issue at 95k. Cracked a valve. Cracked valve took out valve seat. The head doesn't have valve seats. So had to put a new head on it. I almost wrote it off. Can nearly purchase a car for the price of that repair. They replaced the timing chain when that happened. Didn't mention any other parts. Tensoner or guides. Did run quieter after all that. Less clicking. Oh, also got new spark plugs. They were really filthy. I didn't get to see them though. I replaced my arm rest with a thing from Saturn that didn't have the padded rest. Just a place to set some sun glasses. The rest kept getting in the way. Couldn't shift without hitting my elbow. My rear seat releases don't latch.
That's sad anyone would say "ugly." These cars are incredibly reliable, safe and trustworthy. If you see a Saturn on the road, consider yourself graced by good luck for passing by it :)
I just bought a 2005. One morning it started running rough and the engine light is blinking. I was told it had a miss on #3 cylinder? Or it could need a coil case? I put new spark plugs in it. But light is still on and it still sounds rough. Any ideas where to go from here?

Yea these cars are so underrated. So many people don’t even know how reliable and simple these cars are.
