    He! Thank you for the video. According to that IRS website, we need to fill the documents, I guess the ones you shown. on APril 15th. But, I have some questions, when do we suppose to send the documents to that office? and also, when you want to pay taxes with debit or credit card, there are a bunch of different options. What is the correct one?
    1. 1040 current tax return 2022
    2. 1040 prior year tax return
    3. 1040 installment agreement
    4. 1040 ES Estimated Tax
    5. 4868 Tax Extension
    6. Other types.

    • @caminharie
      @caminharie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lisette! Thank you for watching my video! You both have to send the money and the documents to the IRS office before Tax day (April 18th).
      About the pay options: I was unsure about that too. I think I just used 1040 ES estimated Tax. I also think if that would be „wrong“ it’s not really bad that happened. I think it’s just important that you actually payed the taxes. We’re foreigners, they can be glad if we know how to file taxes in the first place 🤣

      Hi Mamokele! I'm glad you liked my video! Unfortunately I don’t know the exact rules but I'm sure its fine if the forms are arriving a couple days later. Technically they could be several reasons why your forms are arriving too late. For example the post office works too slow 🤪😅

    Thank you again!❤

    • @caminharie
      @caminharie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Corine! Thank you for watching my video!❤️ Yes and no haha. You need to pay taxes from the first day you got payed on until the last day you got payed on in the year you want to file taxes on. Which is always the last year. For example: if you arrive next year (2024) on January 20th. and you stayed the whole year working in the States, then you have to file your taxes for the first time in April 2025! Then you need to file taxes from the year before (2024) - in this case from January 20th to December 31st. If you’re still staying in the States for 2026, you need to file your taxes in April 2027 for the year before (2026). I know it seems complicated but once you understand it you’ll get it!!🫶🏽

      Good question! That’s what I found on the IRS page. I think you still need to send it via mail (since they are saying "If you live in a foreign country, use one of these addresses to file your paper Form 1040").
      They also offering different delivery services:
      "You can use certain private delivery services designated by the IRS to meet the “timely mailing as timely filing/paying” rule for tax returns and payments. These private delivery services include only the following:
      DHL Express (DHL): DHL Same Day Service
      Federal Express (FedEx): FedEx Priority Overnight, FedEx Standard Overnight, FedEx 2Day, FedEx International Priority, and FedEx International First
      United Parcel Service (UPS): UPS Next Day Air, UPS Next Day Air Saver, UPS 2nd Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air A.M., UPS Worldwide Express Plus, and UPS Worldwide Express."
