and i totally agree i have always said it tbh people don't appreciate him unless he is using his deep voice and he is underappreciated especially when it comes to his dancing skills, like he is so much more than just a deep voice
how is he underappreciated in terms of his dancing skills? His vocal skills yes i agree, but i never seen someone not fucking praising him for his dance skills.
@Hyp333R i didn't say people were not praising him, in fact praising over his dancing has, yes, increased but like one/one and a half years ago people didn't praise him as much as they do now, that's what i meant

In any comment when 3 of them dancing it's always those 2 who gets complimented all the time. So called stays praise those 2 leaving Felix out all the time. Even Felix gets appreciation comments they rarely gets likes so it dissappear among others

What I love and appreciate about Felix the lyricist is that he can write as easily a bonedeep sorrowful ballad like "Deep End" , a grungy pump-up-the-volume anthem like "Rev It Up" or a first-love-fated fairytale-inspired hip-hop track like "Unfair", and not miss a step. He can also contribute to a genre-hopping motivational song such as "Muddy Water", a dewy-eyed devotion love song like "Because", a love-with-a-hint-of-obsession dance extravaganza like "Taste", or to an upbeat summer blast tune like "Surfin'".
There are others still, not least his musical collaborations with Bang Chan: "FNF", "Runners" or the most delightful baby-song I've ever heard in "One More Pic".
In my view, his songwriting abilities, albeit still in the developing stage, are as vibrant and rich as the tones of his unique voice.
Felix wrote in his Bubble that it is connected wirh the fairy-tale "The Beauty and the Beast"
Good to know. That's actually fairly profound with how he re-encapsulated the theme into the song. I can't recall when I've seen someone do something like this other than Immortal Technique with "Dance with the Devil," except that was a true story.

YES!! He did in fact write the one and has been working on it for a while! In the intro video for this album he said he based the lyrics off of Beauty and the Beast from the perspective of the Beast! He wanted to message of the overall song to be "you are deserving of love"
For me he sounds heavy emotional.
It's like you hold feelings, but they still shine through. And I love this. It's way more common and relatable.

You should check Hop intro. They give us a lot of info on the whole album and each member speaks about their solo. Except Chan 😆

You don't feel desperate because it is not about it. It is song about love. Felix said that this song is about, that everybody deserve love. I think so.
He wrote this in the pov of the beast. If you know the movie it’s basically story telling the beasts feelings through out the whole situation. Deep end was also based off of a movie, I can’t remember lol. He’s just started writing his own songs. I think this was beautifully written . I really liked the way he told the story. But that’s just my humble opinion 🙂

We all know that he was inspired by beauty and the beast…but I feel he definitely feels the connection to the beast in regards to people always judging him by looks and not for the person he is. I love this song.
Stray kids are not afraid to experiment…Felix has layers just like his voice.

I love Felix… I’m not sure if deep end hit too close to personal life… I agree this is poetic,linking it to beauty and the beast was clever from the beast pov… like the beat tone and sound … to be honest I’m hoping Felix continues to write songs from his heart in the future…
I think it the audio version emphasizes more on the beast’s angry, but the live version with less autotune shows more emotions and fragile sides as Felix himself. Maybe that’s the difference, but I still enjoy both tho❤I don’t know maybe bc some similar experiences or maybe I already know it came from Beauty and beast so I can relate to it instantly. 😢
I also wondered the autotune effect on “I won’t lie, I wanna be with you every day and night” part, like it was stressed with an obvious autotune effect, which the live version didn’t have, maybe there’s a reason?🧐Anyway, feelings of music are subjective so it’s ok to have different opinions💙I still love this song so much, especially the process of beginning and the end, the melody immediately reminds me of fairy tale

I kinda get what you mean about the delivery of emotions in the song, although I still do find it plenty emotional. I've had Unfair on repeat since the first time he performed it live, and when this studio version came out it was a tiny bit underwhelming because it sounds so clean, so refined, as compared to the live version which is more raw. But regardless, this is gonna be one of my all time favorite songs for a while. I'd definitely recommend checking out the lives performances tho

My favorite on the album, I love melancholy, for me it's the lyric that works the most. Of the solos was the one that didn't sound strange in my head (also ultra maybe) I was sad that you didn't get the feeling, but it happens 💁🏻♀️

I feel his desperation in it, and if you see it live, it's really well executed. As always, I would have liked to hear more of his raw vocals, because I find him to be an astounding singer, but oh well
This song is about self acceptance, he is the beast and stay are beauty, if you want to see his emotions I would watch his solo stage from the tour, and i would watch the intro to hop as he explains what the song is about.

I have to agree with you there. I feel like the emotional input wasn't fully there. It might be because it was guised behind the story that wasn't his. My take is that the beauty and the beast are both him or aspects of him. I still like the track but now I just keep thinking if the emotion was there with him how broken we all would be :D

Just a touch too much autotune on his vocals for me personally. Maybe they just didn’t want to wreck us all again with another hyper-emotional “Deep End” and went too far the other way? 😂
@@TeddyGreyOS same way too much autotune, he doesn’t even sounds like him. When he sings the first verse of the song Stray Kids he sounds beautiful and you can tell is him.
@@esmeraldaroestoff3900 Felix's higher tone honestly sounds like Troy Sivan. If you listen to "Bloom" or some other songs where his voice isn't highly texturized or they added layers you can hear the similarities. I think in that aspect, Felix should either do a song that's ONLY low, or ONLY in the chest voice register. He could honestly do these type of songs and they'd sound good. I don't know why we're getting these songs that are just amateurish in it's quality and substance. When they have him do low stuff and high stuff on these single songs it just seems gimicky, like: "Look what I can do," and the song doesn't sound good as a result. Just my opinion tho :D
@@esmeraldaroestoff3900 Considering the layers Felix has on his voice, one can never be too sure of what Felix can sound like or not. "Deep End" and "Cover Me" have taught me that.

It's a lovely exercise in story writing. Gaston, Belle, Beast are all easily recognized, as well as "tale as old as time; song as old as rhyme - Beauty and the Beast" (as the animated couple swirl around).
He was better as a beast instead of a prince (imo), but German fairytales. Whaddya do? 🤷

Well I’m watching this and maybe this could help he’s probably talking about himself how he’s gotten so much hate over the years of his life and it is so unfair because he’s a beautiful human being and so like Gaston the jealousy and anger towards the beast made him a different person and also just like the knife that Gaston stabbed him with Felix feels stabbed by the comments about him so yes his life is unfair because of that he wants to be free like beast was

Agree Teddy. Unfortunately Felix could be so much more, but the songs are just... not good in my opinion. I listened to Deep End once, never again, then listened to this one, and never again. Like he could rap well if he focused on that. Idk, dude be focused too much on bubble and modeling than improving I guess. I can't help but to sound like a hater but I hope he gets the proper direction because it seems like a lot of waisted potential.
Edit: While arguing with you people is pretty entertaining, you are all just attacking me personally instead of what I said. Unless you're talking about how i'm wrong about his activities getting in the way of improving vocally as a singer or how this song is good (other than views because that's not an argument) i'm just going to ignore you.
