Riding shotgun comes from old west days. The person in the front passenger sides whole job was to be on watch with the shotgun incase of outlaws or wild animals. Just thought yall would enjoy the history lesson

Ridding shotgun is a term that comes from the times when people hired stage coaches to move from place to place in the Midwest United States. I got shotgun means that you were the one that was going to ride with a shotgun next to the driver. Idk what (modi?) is talking about with this “literally”. Aavak was quite right to say literally there.
I love this series so much. You guys are the ultimate team. Just wish the others had the videos on TH-cam as well!

@@AavakAavak here's something you might find useful if you don't know it already. When you're selling equipment, If you put your excess mods into them or just craft cheap mods. It makes them worth a lot more money

The term "Riding Shotgun" litterally comes from the wild west days stage coaches, There was a guy up with the driver with a shotgun running security.
"I literally take no damage when I ride over a zombie" after bike health went from 77 to 73 :p

Small reminder in case you forgot: you put some insulation mods on your own stuff to save space, but meant to distribute them to at least two of the others :)
Edit: if all of you move your bedrolls to the new location, the old location wouldn’t be protected from spawning a quest anymore, right? Do you have to be careful about that (if you decide to go back there) or not so much because most traders are higher level for all of you and probably wouldn’t give you a quest in that old location anyway?
Aavak eventually put down a land claim block, which also has that effect. IIRC, he needed it to move a structure at some point, and it also prevents quests spawning in the location.
Yup, the land claim will keep that old base safe :)

So, "Riding Shotgun" is an idiom when you mean that you're in the front passenger seat. To "Literally riding shotgun" is being in the front passenger seat while holding a shotgun that is for shooting attackers. Because the idiom is a reference to people who act as a guard riding next to Stagecoach drivers, and they were often armed with shotguns.
