I’ve had mine since it came out and no issues. Still love to use it.

I wouldn't let this old tool make ya never buy Bosch tools. I have an old corded grinder I've had for years and love it, and over the winter I picked up the 12v multi head instalation driver and love that lil screw gun and I'm usually a Milwaukee cordless tool guy.

Looks really well made inside. Shame your battery didnt work out, though modern high discharge lithium ion cells are much provide much more power than 15y/o tech. Probably needed to replace the driver or something.

Hello again Catus Maximus and Tiny
Thank you for another Great Video. That's too bad about the battery. I had Hitachi drill burned/smoke after I installed the battery. My impact still works. A couple of months ago I bought a M12 three piece combo kit. All is well. Again thank you

Mine still works very good. I'm just a Sunday's diy and it's my only battery operated power tools. Those are great, but I've always had to deal with extention cords and powerbar so not a big deal. i dont like being committed to one brand for the battery swapping possibility, also the obsolescence of these. But that bosh little helper, for outside work, is great. Felted very well make in my hand and this autopsy confirms it.

You replaced a 10.8v battery with a 12v battery. Of course it burned up, what did you expect would happen?

They're the same thing, each has three 18650 lithium-ion on cells. Thenewer battery is rated for the Voltage after charging rather than these nominal cell voltage. Same thing as 20 V max, which was really just 18 V tools. Hence why makita still calls there tools 18 V.

blue bosch tools are generally bullet proof, suspect this one was barely hangin on.

It happens electronics burn up every day. Even old plug tools burn up and the guy said he had a problem with it.

Could something have happened taking it apart? Probably not, but maybe?

I have been using the Bosch line of small drills since they first came out and still love them. I use them daily with all batteries. Original 10.8 ones are still great and the 12v 5 ah work too with them. I have a ps11 and needed a smaller head right angle dril so I bought the ps10 on eBay. It came with other drills and batteries. Tried it today and the drill has a very abnormal speed control and as I press the trigger it just doesn’t seem to work smoothly. I’m trying to figure out why and how to fix it. Anybody know about this problem?

Disappointed in a tool you paid $5.00 for? I’ve had this tool for 10 years and while it may need lubrication, it still worked great.
