    You mentioned mensuration, and it's honestly a good theory of why specifically 7 days (rather than the number 7 itself) would be important to people before math and astrology. I mean, if half of your people bleed for about 7 days for reasons that are unidentifiable to you, you might consider it important to take note of. Especially if you noticed it happened to cycle with the moon.

      @MaryAnneAchieng ปีที่แล้ว +28

      I doubt they'd have made that connection since the average period is anywhere between 2 and 7 days, so I don't think it would've been a significant-enough observation
      Edit: also, unless they'd be recording the number of days of the women's period, women dont have their periods at the same time

    • @StarBlavkhole

      Some cultures wanted nothing to do with it, and would tell women to go away, and maybe 7 days seems like a good amount of time for them to “expel their demons” 🤦

      Saturn is the 6th planet, saturday (saturn-day) is the 6th day, the book of genesis in the bible says that man was created on the 6th day. In revelations 13:17 it says that 6 is the number of man.
      Revelations 13:18 says 666 is the number of the beast.
      13x18=234 (234+432=666) (432÷2=216 | 6x6x6=216) Palindrome.
      The hexagon has 6 sides, coincidently the planet saturn has a hexagon on its north pole. A hexagon is a cube in a 2d prospective 🎲, a cube has 6 faces.
      If you add the numbers 1 to 36 it equals 666. If you square the first 7 prime numbers and add them up it equals 666
      36 (three six 666)
      From the first planet to the last, saturn is the 6th, from the last planet to the first, saturn is the 3rd, (36)
      ✡= 666 (6 triangles, 6 points, 6 sided polygon a hexagon )
      A triangle 🔺️is 666, it's composed of 3 60° angles. 60° x 3 = 180° (gamatria)
      180°+180°= 360°
      ✡ is composed of two overposed triangles.
      The cult of saturn 666.
      Kabalah= cube worship
      kaba= cube
      alah= god (little g)
      G is the 7th letter of the english alphabet.
      IX=9 XI=11 (IXXI)
      💈🕋💈 IXXI= 9 11
      (7+4=11) 74(11)x9= 666
      Revelations 3:9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie, behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.
      (however copy this post and share it, light will expose the darkness)

      11 is a dualistic number. The union of opposites.

      @@sambishara9300 , into most other comments? There's over 1,000 comments in this video, I just copied my post into 2 other top comments. The question here is, is your comment serious? Or are you some type of clown that likes really bad jokes. Don't look at the messenger, look at the message. Why you say your not sure if I'm serious or not?
      What did I make up? What was my mistake? Or you don't even know basic math operations to answer that? Numbers don't lie!
      Un-prove what I posted if you think it's fake what I said.
      And please don't come with the " it's really not 666 but 616, it's all a coincidence or something like that. People who believe in "coincidences" are the same people who believe in "luck" or "destiny".
      Part of 666 (not all) has to do with the roman emperor Nero Kaiser or Neron , however you wanna call him/it.
      The difference is that one has an extra "N" ( "נ" nun, nun equals 50 in hebrew gamatria) The hebrew letter "nun" is equal to the latin letter "N"
      "Neron Kaiser" in hebrew = נרונ קסר
      In gamatria, each letter corresponds to a number.
      50=נ
      200=ר
      6=ו
      50=נ
      100= ק
      60=ס
      200=ר
      + _______
      666
      666= Neron Kaiser (נרונ קסר‎ = NRON QSR) with the two nun's (נ)
      616= Nero Kaiser (נרו קסר‎= NRO QSR) without the extra nun/n (50)
      Subtract a nun (50) from 666 and it equals 616
      Neron was known as Nero in many places, the 616 is just to confirm it's Nero Kaiser. (6+1+6=13)
      Ancient Christians (Christianity is over 2k y.o.) associated Neron to the antichrist, because he was! (antichrist simply means, against Christ) Neron persecuted and wanted to eradicate Christians. (But not exclusively)

    Segunda - second day

    Quarta - fourth day
    Quinta - fifth

    Sábado, which I believe has something to do with "shabbat";

    You should’ve also mentioned metric time and the unidember calendar. Metric time was something proposed in the French Revolution around the time that the rest of the standardized metric system was being implemented. It essentially done away with a lot of the superstition around the measurement of time and also removed any and all names referring to ancient gods. The unidember calendar is a proposed calendar that adds an extra month to the 12 month system. Which means every month is divided into 28 days, exactly four weeks, and it lines up almost perfectly with the moon calendar.

    • @threecatsdancing

      The seven colors in the rainbow thing is Newton's fault, cause he was a crackpot numerologistical nutjob who believed the number 7 had all sorts of mystical significance. Now I am starting to understand a bit how he might have come to that conclusion, seeing how our poor Joe has sort of lost his mind putting this video together. 🤓 Anyway, Newton insisted there had to be 7 distinct colors in the spectrum (there are actually only 6) and gave it the name Roy G Biv, which stuck and was taught to every science-loving kid watching "321 Contact" on PBS in the early 80s. Hrm, I miss that show.

      Well if we're to redo it with the knowledge we have now, there are still seven main colors you can see a real rainbow. Indigo is NOT one of them. Indigo happened to be the color of the Jeans that were rising in popularity among the people around the time old man Isacc was discovering the truth about white light (I remember doing research on this but please correct me if I'm wrong). And unfortunately because of that, Cyan (which is an even mixture of Green and Blue light) was mistaken for blue and blue was mistaken for Indigo (which is basically Blue and Violet light mixed together somewhat). Magenta is an even mixture between Red and Blue light so it kinda doesn't even exist in the spectrum since Red and Blue on opposite sides. So with all that said, with modern knowledge, it's much more clear that that the true seven colors we see in the rainbow are as follows:
      Red
      Orange
      Yellow
      Green
      Cyan
      Blue
      Violet
      No, I respectfully don't believe Indigo is one of the seven colors of the rainbow (if it should be seven in the first place). Lemme know what you think! I'd love to hear your input.

And since there are moons without cleared orbits bigger than Mercury it DEFINITELY doesn't count. That, or you have to start counting all our LaGrange locked space probes.

    Friday is Gimgha, which mean gathering.
    Saturday is Sibt (which in Arabic means Rest)

    Worth noting that those are not just random "favorite" local gods that the Germanics substituted for the Roman ones. They were all at one point or another equated to the Roman god they substituted and it has a lot to do with the complex syncretism between pagan religions of the time period.
    -Tyr/Tiw and Mars are both the god of war, and were actually seen as the same god under different names (the Romans straight up referred to the Germanic Tyr as 'Mars')
    -Jupiter and Thor is similar, both are the god of thunder and sometimes interpreted to be the same deity, though Thor is also often equated with Hercules instead.
    -Venus and Frigg were also equated. That one gets a bit complicated because there's also Freyja who is more explicitly a love goddess (and therefore a bit more Venus-like) than Frigg is, but Freyja and Frigg actually overlap, may have a shared origin, and Freyja was less common outside of Scandinavia proper. The Frigg-Freyja thing is complicated.
    -Woden/Odin and Mercury were also equated. This may seem weird because Odin is the kind of the gods whereas Mercury is a "lowly" messenger, but they are both strongly associated with travel and depicted with staves...

    While Japanese use the seven days week (although names of the planets don't come from Roman Gods, but rather the Chinese 5 Element philosophy, with the Moon representing Yin, and Sun representing Yang), they also have a six-days week in their own traditional calendar, and it does appear in regular calendars in Japan.
    This week is used mostly in religious ceremonies like weddings and funerals, and funnily enough, they indicate what kind of luck people will have that day. In order, they are: Shakkou/Sekiguchi (Good luck only at the "Horse hour", that it's from 11 am to 2 pm), Senshou/Sakigachi (Good luck at morning, bad luck at afternoon), Tomobiki (Bad luck only at the Horse hour, also a day ideally for group or team related activities, especially involving friends, like tournaments and parties, but not for funerals), Butsumetsu ("Destruction of Buddha", obviously the day with the worst luck) and Taian ("Great Calm/Peace", the day with the best luck).
    For me, a calendar with 13 months of 28 days each one, with one extra day at the end to match the 365 days a year would be ideal.
