This Krauser is such a stereotypical villain taunting Leon with his annoying "rookie" comments and saying senseless stuff just for the sake of being evil like Leon worrying about Ashley being poor judgement lol of course he cares about her it's his job to save her. Old Krauser knew that and actually respected Leon's abilities but wanted to prove himself to be superior and his dialogues were written in a lot more mature way. Plus this Krauser's motivations are senseless he claims he is doing what he's doing just for the power yet like Leon points out he is a simple lackey for a group of maniacs and he doesn't decide anything himself, but take orders just like when he was a soldier for the US government. What power does he really have? Just because he has a plaga in him I don't see him having any real power. Old Krauser had better motivations, he was just pretending to work for Saddler but his goal was a master Plaga sample he wanted to steal for Wesker so they could build a new Umbrella and use it to "bring order and balance" to the world as he says.
Remake Krauser is just parody of Vergil. He even says the same phrase

Wesker looks so old and bad in this game - a shame with all the graphic potential. No idea how they mamaged to f... him up like that compared to RE 5... - Hate the new version - especially his face doesn't have a lot of resemblance left at all - and I'm not gonna buy this game. Stupid and disappointing! 🤨
