However, for a normal, unenhanced person (albeit, Leon and Chris don't really fit this criteria if we're being real), you'll probably get a lot more mileage out of a round kick, right cross, or suplex than the somewhat more mechanically complex elbow and pushing strikes of bajiquan.
I always felt Wesker was a reward, even in the OG: "Hey, you're really good at this game mode. Here, have a really fun character, and go crazy". Sure, every character's fun: Leon will help you out of the campaign and into the mercenaries, Ada will give you some other tools and utilities, HUNK (my personal fav) is very technical and reliant on his melee moves, but Wesker? He's just plain, mindless fun.
Ada has Ranged Melee like Nero. Leon is a strong, witty, and tactical killing machine like Dante. Wesker styles on his enemies and is effortlessly powerful like Vergil.
Wesker is one of the sadly very rare examples of a character using Bajiquan I have seen. It is the dopest martial art on planet earth, I never get tired of watching Wesker do Tieshankao's.

This makes me want a wesker resident evil game with him as the player character like he is here. Could have a whole game devoted to him learning to control his g-virus abilities while taking out all main members of the umbrella corps.

Well its always been heavily hinted that Chris took a virus that gave him enhanced abilities but nothing that can make him lose control or needs to be watched. Its his extreme build im res 5 and how he can kill BOWs with his barehands

Its canon that he had enough punching power to hit a boulder away, something even leon never showed that extreme feats durimg res 4 . He could kill non-humanoid BOWs with his bare hands and despite his size, hes extremely agile and fast. Im 225lbs myself and chris is 216lbs. While Im probably just as fast as chris and Im decently strong, Im nowhere near THAT level of strength. While compared to leon, Im probably stronger than him but hes way way faster. Just seeing how Chris performs and how he created a team of enhanced people later on, I have a weird feeling chris took SOMETHING to attempt to even the playing field. Like maybe custom steroids that gives you all the benefits but none of the drawbacks
obviously, Wesker is a super zombie, the Tyrant kills him and the he's back for the Virus like any zombie. But Wesker is not normal zombie, he can think, talk, have super skills, and dont forget him martial arts like ninja and shaolin monk mix
This is why I felt like the RE0 Remaster was onto something. Screw infinite rocket launcher playthroughs every game. Give me Wesker Mode to run through the Campaign every RE game

I'm glad Capcom kept the same song beat as the OG RE4. Wesker's Mercenaries theme was kick-ass, specially the chorus.
