So when the news came out about his crimes my family, and many black families in the community, refused to believe it, SOLELY because of his music. This isn’t the last charge against R. Kelly. He still has outstanding charges in Illinois and Minnesota. The Illinois charges are federal ones too and are based out of Chicago. The Chicago charges include 4 counts of producing CSAM (child sexual assault materials), 1 count of conspiracy to defraud the US, 3 counts of receiving CSAM and conspiring to conceal them, and 5 counts of child sex trafficking.
The two Minnesota charges are enhancing in child prostitution with an individual between the ages of 16 and 18 and hiring/offering/agreeing to hire someone w/in that age range for sexual penetration/contact.

So when the news came out about his crimes my family, and many black families in the community, refused to believe it, SOLELY because of his music. I really liked "I believe I can Fly" before I found out about what he had been doing but I am glad that some people are getting justice for whatever he did to them. It would be nice if other celebrities or powerful people would face justice for their crimes. None of the people other than Prince Andrew and Gislaine have had anything done to them or outed as part of his sex ring.
