Listen… I’ve been there. You finally publish your crochet listings on Etsy or launch your website and crickets 🫣
It’s okay!! It’s a learning process. Here are some things you might not have considered…
1. Search Engine Optimization aka SEO
The way the internet currently functions is through search! You want to be using “keywords” to describe your products that people actually type into the search bar. You need to use they keywords EVERYWHERE. In you product titles, descriptions, about section, etc.
2. Urgency & Exclusivity
If you find that people are looking at your products, complimenting, and maybe even adding them to cart but not following through… then you have an urgency/exclusivity issue. You want there to be a sense that your items are so popular they will go quickly! Creating exclusive product drops on your email list, using words like “one of kind,” and always talking positively about your products are simple ways you can create the right vibe.
3. Confusing Marketing
Remember… many times the people seeing your marketing know NOTHING about you or your business. Tell a story! Be clear about who you are and what your expertise is. Communicate WHY people need your creations. And don’t oversell. Which leads to my next point…
4. Relationship building
Did you know the average customer interacts with a business 3-4 times before they make a single purchase?? That means building relationships and trust with your customer base is more important than ever! Instead of hoping people stumble upon your shop/website and buy your crochet the first time they see it have ways to engage with people that are low stakes. Free downloads, discount codes, Facebook community groups, and email lists are just a few ways you can connect with people that requires no money investment from them. If someone sends you a message/email, take that opportunity to connect with them!

No, unfortunately this helps your TH-cam reels engagement because you have to rewatch several times to read the text. Its a little inconvenient for us but hey given we are getting this for free I don’t mind that they do this to help their engagement. That algorithm can be brutal! Also SO many people’s attention span lasts no more that 4 to 7 seconds before they swipe. And swiping before the video ends affects the videos stats. It’s the name of the game. 🤷🏻♀️
Here are the reasons for those who are struggling to pause it
1. You haven’t done any SEO
2. There’s no “urgency” or “exclusivity”
3. Your marketing isn’t clear
4. You aren’t growing relationships with your customers

4 reasons why you don’t understand how social media works:
1. Most users swipe after 4 to 7 seconds
2. When they swipe before a video ends it affects the video’s metrics, thus it gets shown to less people
3. You having to rewatch to read helps the video’s metrics
4. You are getting information that others had to learn through education or experience for FREE

The answer to your number 3 which is a question is that's not a toilet roll stand that's a yarn knitting and crocheting tool to help you get the yarn from on the Little wheel there more smoothly with less tangles I can't remember what exactly it's called tho.

Ohhh my gosh I can’t believe how many people just don’t get how social media works and yet complain about it. She did that to increase how much people rewatch the video so the video’s metrics are better and gets shown to more people. Honestly I think it’s a small price to pay for FREE information she learned through going to school. Just pause it.
@PunsandPixels if she's more concerned with views than actually providing useful information then most of us have no use for that and move along. Some, including myself, will mark it as ignore so we don't get more from this account. So in the end, does it really do her any favors?

An instagram shop would be a good idea, if you decide to do this though I recommend researching thoroughly on how to gain a following who are willing to purchase and such
I will suggest she gets a functional website to post and sell her products in, websites are good for brand building

I sell exclusively at the flea market. I'm a Luddite and have no plans on changing where I sell. Any tips on how I can make more sales in the manner I use?
Pay attention to what people at the market wear, what stalls they’re attracted to, and what price range they look for. Introduce some new products based on your findings!
You’re not selling any because people don’t want to buy a 6x4 foot blanket you made at $20 an hour for $300-400.
Definitely helps to choose products that are time efficient!
