A lot of spoilers. . . Just a normal exploration of True Laboratory available in a Pacifist run of Undertale. A lot of plot is revealed and implied at here.

That makes some sense, though I’m not sure what “Everyman’s” connection to the original monsters is. Also it’s very creepy imagining what attacks would be like with real beings and not just a flying heart. Would CORE lasers cut you in half? Would Gaster Blasters vaporize you from your shoes up? Would Napstablook’s tears melt your flesh off? This game just got a little more disturbing all of a sudden.
19:20 is the saddest music in the entire game. Honestly. It's just so......... awful. It makes me want to lay on the floor and never, ever get up. This poor Amalgamate.
When I first encountered the amalgamates I thought they were scary as hell. But then, when I started to recognize them... I swear, that was the most freaking depressing thing of the whole pacifist route.
There is no monster that looks like that, though. Whatever that is is probably nearly dead and using some of its last moments just to tuck you into a bed you'll get out of seconds later. It probably no longer has the mindpower to understand the pointlessness of the task. Thinking about it is rather sad.
Y'know, I really appreciate the few moments in the lab that take a break from the scary atmosphere. Like the bit about the teacup, or the ghost that tucks you in, or Snowy's mom, or satisfying the dog amalgamate.

Who Gaster is talking to can be interpreted in many ways: he can be talking to Sans and Papyrus, Toriel and Asgore, and what you said above. We can't really determine it until Toby Fox just gives out a subtle hint to help understand the game's lore.

19:20. It's the "Snowy" theme slowed down and distorted. They have Snowdrake's ACT list, too. We hear about Snowdrake's dad, but never their mom. Maybe this is why. This freaking game.

Note that a lot of things that are present in a genocide run is present in True Lab: The :) encounter bubble and "but nobody came" sentence for example.
The =) is realy weird, since that data couldn't be written by Chara, since they were already dead and asleep by that time. Maybe it was Flowey...? Or It was Chara's reflexion on the screen, cuz' they were so scared following Frisk on that creepy lab that they were making their "creepy face" to be strong? Because, if you believe on the NarraChara theory, you can see the text trembles on moments that Chars would get emotioned (like on Asriel's fight), and the text trembles a lot on the True Lab, so maybe Chara was scared of what could happen to Frisk, or horrorized of what happened to all those monsters? Just a theory btw
Imagine if the only part of Undertale was the True Lab. It would be one of the most freaky horror games. Not to mention the theories around the tapes in that room as well as the entries.
Since Undertale and Deltarune aren't in the same universe, I'd say that that's good. She just died instead of being reincarnated and fused with 2 other monsters.
I hated every second in this dungeon, it was so fucking scary and depressing, god damn. (Joking about hating it btw I loved it, even if I was looking behind my back every 2 seconds irl)

I realized that if you read the dialogue from the tapes in the true lab, you'll realize that Chara tries to kill himself with Asriel because Asriel mentions that the buttercup flowers they accidentally put in butterscotch pie and it made the king sick.
+Filipe1020 SPOILER WARNING: Monsters have souls, but they break immediately as they leave monsters' bodies. Human souls don't do that, they can persist - thanks to a mysterious energy. But monsters can't handle that energy, and so when injected with it as an experiment, they looked fine at first, but eventually melted - but managed to survive by joining with other monsters. Like a bunch of dogs you've seen there, or assorted Core monsters, or assorted Waterfall monsters, or Mrs. Snowdrake and two Vegetoids and 14 other monsters. ...actually, spoiler warning? The wall logs explain exactly this.
This is my favourite part of the game, it felt so depressing, creepy and uncanny that it made me literally uncomfortable. I loved it, mostly because ir was unexpectedly dark.
So. Alphys said that when a monster dies that is filled with "Determination" it's not falling to dust, but it starts to melt down right? Soo, does that mean, undyne is filled with Determination?! When i fought and killed her (1st playthrough and geno) she melted down too instead of falling to Dust.
it's so cool when Alphys says "Let's call this power, "Determination." (on Entry number 4) and then you move to the next room and 'Here we are' starts up. man this game is so fucking cool.

+abloogywoogywoo Some people have implied that Chara did that as part of a long-term plan to break the barrier; even in the video, Chara tells Asriel they only need 6 more souls to break the barrier. So including his soul plus whatever souls Asriel got while on the surface (Chara's dying wish just being his excuse, part of the plan) they could free the monsters right then and there. All it would take is a noble-ish sacrifice from Chara. It totally didn't work but they were only kids so that's about as capable as you could imagine their plan to be?
+Ben Keefer Chara was far from noble, as you could tell when he laughed when they accidentally poisoned Asgore, and then he purposefully used the buttercups to kill himself to make Asriel strong enough to take human souls from the surface. But Asriel himself explains it if you quit the game after beating it but before the credit roll, you go back to the flower bed at the start of the game hes there. Chara hated humanity and was struggling with Asriel to simply kill them all, but Asriel resisted and got them both hurt, which led to Chara resenting him as they dissipated and got absorbed by the Determination fed flower. This also soured Asriel's outlook on life as he lost his compassion, he thought he had an epiphany that it was kill or be killed.
+Ben Keefer Chara couldn't care less about the monsters plight. He (the demon) is obsessed with murdering all of humanity. Asriel was simply a means to an end. He did not anticipate however, that Asriel would resist him after absorbing his soul, denying him the chance to slay the villagers - thus resulting in both their deaths.
Now that I look at it, the DT extractor looks like omega flowey’s “mouth” and here’s my theory on that. The way flowey had managed to trap and absorb the souls to get its determination and mess with the files would have to be through the DT extractor, so what he did was he had stolen it, absorbed the souls determination with it, and with that, gave him the power to mess with files. It also explains why the odd mouth thing is covered in plants and vines. Flowey had not only fused with the souls and used it determination, he fused with the DT extractor
This game did scare me some times- running from Undyne, fighting Omega Flowey- but they were nothing compared to the True Labratory. Curled up in my living room whimpering about how scared I was.
this is my favorite part of the game. i find the amalgamate at 19:18 to be very calming and i don't know why. it's a bit of an eldritch feeling. but it's very calming as well. you only want to help them out. you relate to them in some way. they are so cold but they only want to laugh. i wanted to spend more time with them.

The "It's so cold" Amalgimate is sad for these reasons: 1. It's Snowdrakes mom 2. The "mouths" of the Vegetoids fused to her are not mouths, they are her real eyes. 3. She keeps trying to call for her son, but nothing is working, she's too weak. 4 . If you decide to attack her, you hear a noise, then the music gets more distorted, as her attacks and defenses get lower, until you actually do some damage, then, well, you can eventually kill her, I THINK, but if not, you painfully spare her.
This has always been my favorite part of Undertale. Ever since I saw it I've always liked drawing my OC's all melted and deformed. I guess it awakened something inside of me.
So, with LemonBread, we see that the Act commands are from multiple entities. (Unhug - Moldsmal, Flex -Aaron, etc.) We also see the multiple speech bubbles when LemonBread talks. We also see multiple elements of each monster within LemonBread, notice how its teeth look like Moldsmal, and it has muscular arms, like Aaron. Finally, we see the three monsters BEFORE LemonBread, who say "Come join the fun". I believe that Alphys, in an attempt to make a stronger monster soul, fused monster souls together, and their bodies formed together as well. Wether or not the fusion was intentional, I don't know. Oh, I haven't watched the rest of the video yet, so forgive me if they point this out later on in the video.
At first I was terrified, but then I realized that they're just lonely. Edogney wants affection, Momdrake wants to go home to see her children, and Reaperbird wants to remember. The only one that's not lonely at all is Lemon Bread, because of the quote, "Welcome to my personal hell."
Y’know what really gets me the most in true lab? Everyone being deformed. Everyone feels bad for Snowdrake’s mother and that’s 100% okay and understandable. But I feel more bad and horrible for the dog. That dog has been stuck down there for who knows how long, with barely anything to eat (proven by the empty dog bowl) no one to play with, and being all alone in the same place. I know other people are gonna say “Well everyone else had to go through that” but they are very much like humans irl, they are independent and dependent. Most domesticated dogs are mainly, if not fully dependent on the people that take care of them. You can tell it is domesticated because it enjoys being pet, played, and responds to the beckon you give it. Not to mention the corrupted and messed up song and dog in the attack not to mention the dog itself. It just makes it all a little better that you make it happy.
Captain Crunch Not really. The batter had a goal. He wanted to purify the world to make it "better" and form it in his own twisted way. The fallen human just wants to exterminate everything for no good reason. To me that makes the fallen human even worse than the batter.
if you listen closely, you'll notice that the music in the true lab *'here we are'*, is a slower, more sinister version of *'alphys'* which plays up in alphys' lab, I barely noticed it until recently, but I thought it was pretty interesting
Ugh, Reaper Birds first and second attacks are genuinely disturbing for just being attack animations. Endogeny also made me really uncomfortable for some reason...that sound is friggin creepy, and its twitching doesn't help.
Hey, I've thought of something... What if the True Lab is actually Gaster's lab? The machine that extracts determination looks similar to the Gaster Blasters and Alphys only really built Mettaton, and Entry Number 17 was written by Gaster, so Gaster may have originally wrote the other entries and Alphys wrote over them.
at first, i got freaked out with the true lab atmosphere but when i actually encountered the amalgamates and read all of the entries... It literally made my heavy, my heart broke into pieces. It was so heartbreaking. God
when I played this run for the first time I was shocked, but later when I started thinking about it I really cried. Genocide is so sad and scary, but pacifist run teaching as that even if we try, this world cant't be good for everyone. This is so sad :(
The first note on the floor.. That made me think something horrible. I started yelling at the computer screen. "No. NO. NONONONONONONONONO." When the elevator got to the bottom, I saw that I was going to get some backstory. I let out a breath. I knew that she hadn't... Wasn't going to...
The true lab was legit scarier than any horror game I know of. I legit feared what was in the lab. And the almalgametes were legit terrifying. Especially the dog one.....
I love the battle music with the ghosts, really clever Earthbound inspired sampling. I never thought someone else would sample those Beach Boys vocals into something creepy again.
This is very depressing, dark and creepy at the same time! This is just another good example of how Undertale has its share of dark and creepy moments.
I’ve always found it very odd that the determination extractor looked a lot like omega flowey except as a skull. Edit: At one point the monitors show a red smiley face when going near them. Before the Omega Flowey fight starts, you do see a white and black smiley face on his monitor.
7:57 is basically stolen from Steven King's The Shining. Kubrick's version of the scene was scary, but this shows why King's original got the upper hand.

So... Storytime: I entered the true lab, expected to ace it (as I was not playing the game blind, and watched many playthroughs.) Immediately I was bloodied and beaten, I died multiple times before getting 1 key in a keyslot, on my 5 or 6TH try I was on low HP, I was desperate for anything to save me, then, I found a save point... One Smiley Face and battle later I ended up dead.

The True Origin of True Labs was its Gaster who created it. Gaster use to own Alphy's lab and made an underground secret laboratory as we expected its now True Labs as he was experimenting monsters, it became a great mistake so he had to abandon it. The monsters turned to melting he first Experimented with Dogs, he made types of Dog foods. Then he made experimenting with "Shyren" then what happened was some monster died and turned to a ghost.. Then, he had helped record some Tapes well then he managed to make a "Gaster Blaster" which only Sans can know about it then his final creation, THE CORE! THE CORE he made it, but when he was finishing in it tripped in and died.. The end

Because, if you believe on the NarraChara theory, you can see the text trembles on moments that Chars would get emotioned (like on Asriel's fight), and the text trembles a lot on the True Lab, so maybe Chara was scared of what could happen to Frisk, or horrorized of what happened to all those monsters? This is my favourite part of the game, it felt so depressing, creepy and uncanny that it made me literally uncomfortable. I loved it, mostly because ir was unexpectedly dark.

Soo, does that mean, undyne is filled with Determination?! When i fought and killed her (1st playthrough and geno) she melted down too instead of falling to Dust.

That's pretty messed up. Chara purposefully killed themselves... knowing it would drive Asriel insane with grief.
+abloogywoogywoo Some people have implied that Chara did that as part of a long-term plan to break the barrier; even in the video, Chara tells Asriel they only need 6 more souls to break the barrier. So including his soul plus whatever souls Asriel got while on the surface (Chara's dying wish just being his excuse, part of the plan) they could free the monsters right then and there. All it would take is a noble-ish sacrifice from Chara. It totally didn't work but they were only kids so that's about as capable as you could imagine their plan to be?
+Ben Keefer Chara was far from noble, as you could tell when he laughed when they accidentally poisoned Asgore, and then he purposefully used the buttercups to kill himself to make Asriel strong enough to take human souls from the surface.
But Asriel himself explains it if you quit the game after beating it but before the credit roll, you go back to the flower bed at the start of the game hes there. Chara hated humanity and was struggling with Asriel to simply kill them all, but Asriel resisted and got them both hurt, which led to Chara resenting him as they dissipated and got absorbed by the Determination fed flower. This also soured Asriel's outlook on life as he lost his compassion, he thought he had an epiphany that it was kill or be killed.
+Ben Keefer Chara couldn't care less about the monsters plight. He (the demon) is obsessed with murdering all of humanity. Asriel was simply a means to an end. He did not anticipate however, that Asriel would resist him after absorbing his soul, denying him the chance to slay the villagers - thus resulting in both their deaths.

Now that I look at it, the DT extractor looks like omega flowey’s “mouth” and here’s my theory on that. The way flowey had managed to trap and absorb the souls to get its determination and mess with the files would have to be through the DT extractor, so what he did was he had stolen it, absorbed the souls determination with it, and with that, gave him the power to mess with files. It also explains why the odd mouth thing is covered in plants and vines. Flowey had not only fused with the souls and used it determination, he fused with the DT extractor
This game did scare me some times- running from Undyne, fighting Omega Flowey- but they were nothing compared to the True Labratory. Curled up in my living room whimpering about how scared I was.

this is my favorite part of the game. i find the amalgamate at 19:18 to be very calming and i don't know why. it's a bit of an eldritch feeling. but it's very calming as well. you only want to help them out. you relate to them in some way. they are so cold but they only want to laugh. i wanted to spend more time with them.
the dog amalgamate made me so, so, so, so, so, so,so,so,so,so,sos,os,soss,ossososso uncomfortable. THAT SOUND

The "It's so cold" Amalgimate is sad for these reasons:
1. It's Snowdrakes mom
2. The "mouths" of the Vegetoids fused to her are not mouths, they are her real eyes.
3. She keeps trying to call for her son, but nothing is working, she's too weak.
4 . If you decide to attack her, you hear a noise, then the music gets more distorted, as her attacks and defenses get lower, until you actually do some damage, then, well, you can eventually kill her, I THINK, but if not, you painfully spare her.
This has always been my favorite part of Undertale. Ever since I saw it I've always liked drawing my OC's all melted and deformed. I guess it awakened something inside of me.
So, with LemonBread, we see that the Act commands are from multiple entities. (Unhug - Moldsmal, Flex -Aaron, etc.) We also see the multiple speech bubbles when LemonBread talks. We also see multiple elements of each monster within LemonBread, notice how its teeth look like Moldsmal, and it has muscular arms, like Aaron. Finally, we see the three monsters BEFORE LemonBread, who say "Come join the fun". I believe that Alphys, in an attempt to make a stronger monster soul, fused monster souls together, and their bodies formed together as well. Wether or not the fusion was intentional, I don't know.
Oh, I haven't watched the rest of the video yet, so forgive me if they point this out later on in the video.

At first I was terrified, but then I realized that they're just lonely. Edogney wants affection, Momdrake wants to go home to see her children, and Reaperbird wants to remember. The only one that's not lonely at all is Lemon Bread, because of the quote, "Welcome to my personal hell."
Y’know what really gets me the most in true lab? Everyone being deformed. Everyone feels bad for Snowdrake’s mother and that’s 100% okay and understandable. But I feel more bad and horrible for the dog. That dog has been stuck down there for who knows how long, with barely anything to eat (proven by the empty dog bowl) no one to play with, and being all alone in the same place. I know other people are gonna say “Well everyone else had to go through that” but they are very much like humans irl, they are independent and dependent. Most domesticated dogs are mainly, if not fully dependent on the people that take care of them. You can tell it is domesticated because it enjoys being pet, played, and responds to the beckon you give it. Not to mention the corrupted and messed up song and dog in the attack not to mention the dog itself. It just makes it all a little better that you make it happy.

Hey, I've thought of something... What if the True Lab is actually Gaster's lab? The machine that extracts determination looks similar to the Gaster Blasters and Alphys only really built Mettaton, and Entry Number 17 was written by Gaster, so Gaster may have originally wrote the other entries and Alphys wrote over them.

when I played this run for the first time I was shocked, but later when I started thinking about it I really cried. Genocide is so sad and scary, but pacifist run teaching as that even if we try, this world cant't be good for everyone. This is so sad :(

This is very depressing, dark and creepy at the same time! This is just another good example of how Undertale has its share of dark and creepy moments.
I’ve always found it very odd that the determination extractor looked a lot like omega flowey except as a skull.
Edit: At one point the monitors show a red smiley face when going near them. Before the Omega Flowey fight starts, you do see a white and black smiley face on his monitor.

So... Storytime: I entered the true lab, expected to ace it (as I was not playing the game blind, and watched many playthroughs.) Immediately I was bloodied and beaten, I died multiple times before getting 1 key in a keyslot, on my 5 or 6TH try I was on low HP, I was desperate for anything to save me, then, I found a save point...
One Smiley Face and battle later I ended up dead.
It's hard to tell, but the True Lab music contains motifs from Alphys's theme.
