Mulberry Street is named for a Street in NYC, that they walked down on their first visit there to meet with some industry people. The "get out of our way, we're moving sideways" refers to how he perceived the New Yorkers walking down the street.
My favorite song from this album. I've listened to this song over and over any time I need a mood lifter and to let me know it's ok to be sad sometimes
I have always believed from a theory made when this album came out.. the Mulberry is a child book about a Fable and the street is like how Stressed out had them being kids out there. A song to remember what it was like to be a kid and the blissful attitude in life that children have. To pretend and never worry. 😊❤
In terms of the Lore, Scaled and Icy is a propaganda album Tyler/Clancy was forced to write for the Bishops, after being kidnapped by them in the Levitate video. He has no choice but to spout things he doesn't believe in, which is probably why you get moments snuck in the lyrics where he's supporting rebellion against the system that's holding him hostage. I love how they pack all of that, into such a bubbly, happy-sounding album! This song in particular is so fun and catchy, though it's basically rejecting the idea of the white-picket-fence perfect suburb life at the same time. It's especially grown on me, seeing videos of them playing it live. It's such a cool moment!
At first I thought mulberry street was the street Tyler grew up on but I came to find out the Tyler actually grew up on Clancy road which explains alot
Love going through these albums, uh these masterpieces with you. They're 'so good, so good' 🎶🎵 This one is one of my faves. You have to watch the Livestream performance they did, especially of this one. It's soooo good, so good!! 💙|-/🩷
i already commented but i just wanna say that the album has a lore sort of meaning alot of their albums make up a story and this album isn't really "coming after the government" i won't say what it is though cuz i don't wanna spoil the story cuz it's cool highly recommend trying to figure out the order of the songs so you can maybe catch on
i mean this genuinely and not offensively, i first thought that you were a grandma by how you look in the thumbnail the camera like added wrinkles that aren't there 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Love this track!!✌️😊🌼🔥
