    I find her voice very hard and harsh sounding. Anyway, I watched the movie, and it was thought provoking.
    Around the same time, I also happened to watch another Bollywood movie called "The Lunchbox," and I really liked that movie. It was quite profound. (Kiran Rao had nothing to do with "The Lunchbox). I highly recommend it.

    @syas13 Indian parents speak to their children in English because their own mother tongue is very complicated. It becomes difficult for parents to converse at times. I am not saying that English is less complicated but English is a language which is very versatile and can be modified to suit little children. It then becomes a part of your life as you grow older and then people find it difficult to switch back to their native language.

    @syas13 : I think you're misconstruing why we (Indians and Pakistanis) like speaking in English. We do it because ever since the British left out country, the way to work yourself up the ladder was to speak English.
    Having said that, let me remind you we have 22 languages and many dialects. There's a huge debate in the South where people don't accept Hindi.
    So we're not ashamed of our language, we just want to do better for ourselves and for our families. Hope that clears it something.

    umm if finding a younger woman was his only motive than common buddy, lets be honest kiran is the most gorgeous girl around... thers tons of stunning women in india and if age and physical factors were the only reason he remarried than he'd be sitting beside some sexy model. cuz im sure he can get almost any girl he wants in india

    @syas13 what mother tongue? hindi? gujrati? mararti? bengali? punjabi? hindi has orgiins in ancient languages of indo-europe. as does latin and english. so what is the mother tongue? sanskrit? latin? greek? armenien? farsi? name it so we can speak our mother tongue.

  • @firoz2007
    @firoz2007 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @monuta2008 scripts have nothing to do with the actors.. whether its a remake or not makes no difference. what you have to look at is the actors ability and acting skills. oh and don was very original. plus remakes are harder to attract audience plus the expectations are higher from the film. yet aamir khan has had super hits. from qayamat se qayamat tak till 3 idiots, tare zameen par, ghajini etc.

  • @NavneetVasistha
    @NavneetVasistha 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @syas13 : Well it's fine if you think so but I don't think you should generalise on the basis of the people you've met. If you ever come to India, you'll find that many people speak more than one language (Urban and Rural). The same goes for Pakistanis.
    I don't know where you're from but from my limited travels, I've never come across a country which commonly speaks more than one language and can still boast of what you've stated.

    You're right about that, she's not a model type and he could have gone that route. But it still leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth when I hear of a man leaving his family for another woman...perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned her younger age because I'd still feel the same way if she were older.

    @666Kudos Lets get this straight India is a poor country. India has the 4th highest GDP. but thats the income of the country as a whole. Indias per capita income (average income of a person) is very less. the rich are very rich and poor are very poor. so much so that the richest 8% of the population is richer than 90% of the middle class combined.India has a potential to be a powerful nation but it still not there yet. i love my country but thats a fact. we have the 2nd largest slum in the world
