    Mauritius is way more better than the South Africa bcz here the crime rate is zero as compared of the South Africa.if u have a good high profile job or ur own business Mauritius is really a paradise to live in.

    You forgot to mention how much rent is on average.. As in a decent 4 bedroomed crib. Probably one of the most important points.

    • @MyKiffLife
      @MyKiffLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point - Well now that the dust has settled since Covid, rentals have gone up. I would say that an average 3 bedroom apartment, furnished is about MUR 45,000 per month and a 4 bedroom house is about MUR 50,000.

    Very useful video for me as im planning to relocate to Mauritius from Sweden & will probably start with renting something before buying. Thanks!. The agency fee is just for the first month? Not every month?

    • @MyKiffLife
      @MyKiffLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great stuff. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. The agency is for one month only. The best way to relocate in on the Premium Travel Visa. Its a 13 month torusit visa which will allow you to get a good feel for the island.

    • @MyKiffLife

      To be honest, that job sector has fallen into the Digital Nomad category. I think if you're a freelancer, then you find business anywhere in the world. Locally, i think it's picking up, but comparatively, the pay is lower than S.A.
      You can check out jobs on www.myjob.mu or on LinkedIn. See whats out there. You never know what you find.

    What amount of total annual property or other taxes would a non-citizen expect to pay to hold a USD $1 million detached home in Mauritius that is not rented? I'm looking for a ball park figure, not an exact figure. Thank you.
