  • We take a first look and give our initial impressions of the highly anticipated Honeycomb Alpha Yoke System. What are the features, how does it feel, is the price reasonable and do you need it?
Thanks to Kyle for letting us borrow the Honeycomb for this video!

Thank you! We had a great time with the Alpha. We're really looking forwards to trying out the Bravo throttles! Keep up the good work.

cool vid lads, nice to see you, miss the live streams. You keep it real, straight up, easy to follow.....we're not all wanna be 737 pilots. There's sooo much to X-Plane that gets ignored/overlooked. It's a massive sim.

Thanks! Good to hear from you. We enjoy the streams, and maybe we will try another one in the not too distant future. We were trying to be objective and how everyone uses the sim is different. As far as a buy/don’t buy, we don’t want to back ourselves into that corner, but prefer to put our impressions and how we use aircraft and peripherals out there.

When we get one, this will be the one we choose. I little higher price than some others on the market, but I believe honeycomb has a background in making pieces for commercial grade sims.

It seems you missed the short stroke in the pitch motion. From what I understand the in/out motion is only ~3". The roll seems to have plenty of resolution but the the pitch will still have the same problem. Too sensitive in pitch.
    Thanks for your videos.

I think the stroke might be +|- 3” on both sides for about 6” total. That sounds about right, though we didn’t measure it. The pilot we borrowed it from didn’t mention sensitivity (resolution) in pitch. He did make the observation that he felt roll was very realistic, but he found the effort in pitch slightly heavier than the real world Cessna 172. I forgot to ask how it compares to the Citabria he also flies.
